Psalms 122

1 A Song of degrees. Of David. I rejoiced when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of Jehovah.

੧ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਦਾ ਗੀਤ ਮੈਂ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋਇਆ ਜਦ ਓਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਣ ਲੱਗੇ, ਆਓ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਲੀਏ!

2 Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.

੨ਹੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ, ਸਾਡੇ ਪੈਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਫਾਟਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹਨ।

3 Jerusalem, which art built as a city that is compact together,

੩ਹੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਤੂੰ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ,

4 Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of Jah, a testimony to Israel, to give thanks unto the name of Jehovah.

੪ਜਿੱਥੇ ਗੋਤ, ਹਾਂ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੋਤ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੀ ਸਾਖੀ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਓਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਨ।

5 For there are set thrones for judgment, the thrones of the house of David.

੫ਉੱਥੇ ਤਾਂ ਨਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਸਿੰਘਾਸਣ, ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦੇ ਸਿੰਘਾਸਣ ਰੱਖੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।

6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.

੬ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਮਤੀ ਮੰਗੋ, ਤੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀ ਨਿਹਾਲ ਹੋਣਗੇ।

7 Peace be within thy bulwarks, prosperity within thy palaces.

੭ਤੇਰੀ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਪਨਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸਲਾਮਤੀ ਹੋਵੇ, ਤੇਰੇ ਮਹਿਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੁਸ਼ਹਾਲੀ ਨਿਹਾਲਤਾ!

8 For my brethren and companions' sakes I will say, Peace be within thee!

੮ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਗੁਆਂਢੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਆਖਾਂਗਾ, ਤੇਰੀ ਸਲਾਮਤੀ ਹੋਵੇ!

9 Because of the house of Jehovah our God I will seek thy good.

੯ਸਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਭਲਿਆਈ ਦਾ ਖੋਜੀ ਹੋਵਾਂਗਾ।
