Psalms 122

1 A Song of degrees. Of David. I rejoiced when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of Jehovah.

একটি আরোহণ সংগীত। দাউদের গীত। আমি আনন্দিত হলাম, যখন লোকে আমাকে বলল, “চলো, আমরা সদাপ্রভুর গৃহে যাই।”

2 Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.

এখন, হে জেরুশালেম নগরী, তোমার প্রবেশদ্বারের ভিতরে আমরা দাঁড়িয়ে রয়েছি।

3 Jerusalem, which art built as a city that is compact together,

জেরুশালেম সেই নগরীর মতো নির্মিত যা সংগঠিতরূপে তৈরি হয়েছে।

4 Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of Jah, a testimony to Israel, to give thanks unto the name of Jehovah.

ইস্রায়েলের সমস্ত গোষ্ঠীগুলি— সদাপ্রভুর লোকসকল—এখানে আরাধনা করতে আসে, ইস্রায়েলের বিধিনিয়ম অনুযায়ী তারা সদাপ্রভুর নামের ধন্যবাদ করতে আসে।

5 For there are set thrones for judgment, the thrones of the house of David.

এই স্থানেই স্থাপিত হয়েছে বিচারের সিংহাসন, এখানেই দাউদ কুলের সব সিংহাসন স্থাপিত।

6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.

তোমরা জেরুশালেমের শান্তির জন্য প্রার্থনা করো, “যারা তোমাকে ভালোবাসে, তারা সুরক্ষিত থাকুক।

7 Peace be within thy bulwarks, prosperity within thy palaces.

তোমার প্রাচীরের মধ্যে শান্তি বিরাজ করুক, আর তোমার দুর্গগুলির মধ্যে সুরক্ষা থাকুক।”

8 For my brethren and companions' sakes I will say, Peace be within thee!

আমার পরিবার ও বন্ধুদের জন্য, আমি বলব “তোমার মধ্যে শান্তি বিরাজ করুক।”

9 Because of the house of Jehovah our God I will seek thy good.

সদাপ্রভু আমাদের ঈশ্বরের গৃহের কারণে হে জেরুশালেম, আমি তোমার সমৃদ্ধি কামনা করব।
