< Psalms 120 >
1 A Song of degrees. In my trouble I called unto Jehovah, and he answered me.
Pesem preizvrstna. Gospoda sem klical v največji stiski svoji, in uslišal me je.
2 Jehovah, deliver my soul from the lying lip, from the deceitful tongue.
Gospod, reši me ustne lažnjive, zvijačnega jezika.
3 What shall be given unto thee, what shall be added unto thee, thou deceitful tongue?
Kaj naj ti dá, ali kaj pridene jezik zvijačni?
4 Sharp arrows of a mighty one, with burning coals of broom-wood.
Besede podobne ostrim pušicam mogočnega, primérne žarjavici brinjevi.
5 Woe is me, that I sojourn in Meshech, that I dwell among the tents of Kedar!
Gorjé meni, ker popotujem toliko časa, stanujem kakor prebivalci šatorov Kedarski.
6 My soul hath long dwelt with them that hate peace.
Predolgo zdí se duši moji da je prebivala pri sovražniku mirú.
7 I [am for] peace; but when I speak, they [are] for war.
Jaz ljubim mir, ali ko govorim, kličejo oni na boj.
