Psalms 116
1 I love Jehovah, for he hath heard my voice [and] my supplications;
Det är mig ljuft, att Herren hörer mina röst och mina bön;
2 For he hath inclined his ear unto me, and I will call upon him during [all] my days.
Att han böjer sina öron till mig; derföre vill jag åkalla honom i mina lifsdagar.
3 The bands of death encompassed me, and the anguish of Sheol took hold of me; I found trouble and sorrow: (Sheol h7585)
Dödsens snaror hade omfattat mig, och helvetes ångest hade råkat uppå mig; jag kom i jämmer och nöd. (Sheol h7585)
4 Then called I upon the name of Jehovah: I beseech thee, Jehovah, deliver my soul.
Men jag åkallade Herrans Namn: O! Herre, fräls mina själ.
5 Gracious is Jehovah and righteous; and our God is merciful.
Herren är nådelig och rättfärdig, och vår Gud är barmhertig.
6 Jehovah keepeth the simple: I was brought low, and he saved me.
Herren bevarar de enfaldiga; när jag nederligger så hjelper han mig.
7 Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for Jehovah hath dealt bountifully with thee.
Var nu åter tillfrids, min själ; ty Herren gör dig godt.
8 For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, my feet from falling.
Ty du hafver uttagit mina själ utu dödenom, mina ögon ifrå tårar, min fot ifrå fall.
9 I will walk before Jehovah in the land of the living.
Jag vill vandra för Herranom uti de lefvandes lande.
10 I believed, therefore have I spoken. As for me, I was greatly afflicted.
Jag tror, derföre talar jag; men jag varder svårliga plågad.
11 I said in my haste, All men are liars.
Jag sade i min häpenhet: Alla menniskor äro lögnaktige.
12 What shall I render unto Jehovah, [for] all his benefits toward me?
Huru skall jag vedergälla Herranom alla hans välgerningar, som han mig gör?
13 I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of Jehovah.
Jag vill taga den helsosamma kalken, och predika Herrans Namn.
14 I will perform my vows unto Jehovah, yea, before all his people.
Jag vill betala mina löften Herranom, för allt folk.
15 Precious in the sight of Jehovah is the death of his saints.
Hans helgons död är dyr hållen för Herranom.
16 Yea, Jehovah! for I am thy servant; I am thy servant, the son of thy handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds.
O! Herre, jag är din tjenare; jag är din tjenare, dine tjenarinnos son; du hafver sönderslitit mina band.
17 I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of Jehovah.
Dig vill jag offra tacksägelse, och predika Herrans Namn.
18 I will perform my vows unto Jehovah, yea, before all his people,
Jag vill betala mina löften Herranom, för allt hans folk;
19 In the courts of Jehovah's house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Hallelujah!
Uti gårdarna åt Herrans hus, uti dig, Jerusalem. Halleluja.
