Psalms 108
1 A Song, a Psalm of David. My heart is fixed, O God: I will sing, yea, I will sing psalms, even [with] my glory.
Preparado está o meu coração, ó Deus; cantarei e direi salmos até com a minha glória.
2 Awake, lute and harp: I will wake the dawn.
Desperta-te, saltério e harpa; eu mesmo despertarei ao romper da alva.
3 I will give thee thanks among the peoples, O Jehovah; of thee will I sing psalms among the nations:
Louvar-te-ei entre os povos, Senhor, e a ti cantarei salmos entre as nações.
4 For thy loving-kindness is great above the heavens, and thy truth is unto the clouds.
Porque a tua benignidade se estende até aos céus, e a tua verdade chega até às mais altas nuvens.
5 Be thou exalted above the heavens, O God, and thy glory above all the earth.
Exalta-te sobre os céus, ó Deus, e a tua glória sobre toda a terra,
6 That thy beloved ones may be delivered: save with thy right hand, and answer me.
Para que sejam livres os teus amados: salva-nos com a tua dextra, e ouve-nos.
7 God hath spoken in his holiness: I will exult, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.
Deus falou na sua santidade: eu me regozijarei; repartirei a Sichem, e medirei o vale de Succoth.
8 Gilead is mine, Manasseh is mine, and Ephraim is the strength of my head; Judah is my law-giver;
Meu é Galaad, meu é Manassés; e Ephraim a força da minha cabeça, Judá o meu legislador,
9 Moab is my wash-pot; upon Edom will I cast my sandal; over Philistia will I shout aloud.
Moab o meu vaso de lavar: sobre Edom lançarei o meu sapato, sobre a Palestina jubilarei.
10 Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me unto Edom?
Quem me levará à cidade forte? Quem me guiará até Edom?
11 [Wilt] not [thou], O God, who didst cast us off? and didst not go forth, O God, with our armies?
Porventura não serás tu, ó Deus, que nos rejeitaste? E não sairás, ó Deus, com os nossos exércitos?
12 Give us help from trouble; for vain is man's deliverance.
Dá-nos auxílio para sair da angústia, porque vão é o socorro da parte do homem.
13 Through God we shall do valiantly; and he it is that will tread down our adversaries.
Em Deus faremos proezas, pois ele calcará aos pés os nossos inimigos.
