Psalms 105
1 Give ye thanks unto Jehovah, call upon his name; make known his acts among the peoples.
Alabad al SEÑOR, invocad su Nombre; haced notorias sus obras en los pueblos.
2 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him; meditate upon all his wondrous works.
Cantadle, decid salmos a él; hablad de todas sus maravillas.
3 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek Jehovah.
Gloriaos en su Nombre santo; alégrese el corazón de los que buscan al SEÑOR.
4 Seek Jehovah and his strength, seek his face continually;
Buscad al SEÑOR, y su fortaleza; buscad su rostro siempre.
5 Remember his wondrous works which he hath done, his miracles and the judgments of his mouth:
Acordaos de sus maravillas que hizo, de sus prodigios y de los juicios de su boca,
6 Ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye sons of Jacob, his chosen ones.
oh vosotros, simiente de Abraham su siervo, hijos de Jacob, sus escogidos.
7 He, Jehovah, is our God; his judgments are in all the earth.
El es el SEÑOR nuestro Dios; en toda la tierra son sus juicios.
8 He is ever mindful of his covenant, — the word which he commanded to a thousand generations, —
Se acordó para siempre de su alianza; de la palabra que mandó para mil generaciones,
9 Which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac;
la cual concertó con Abraham; y de su juramento a Isaac.
10 And he confirmed it unto Jacob for a statute, unto Israel for an everlasting covenant,
Y la estableció a Jacob por decreto, a Israel por pacto eterno,
11 Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;
diciendo: A ti te daré la tierra de Canaán por cordel de vuestra heredad.
12 When they were a few men in number, of small account, and strangers in it.
Esto siendo ellos pocos hombres en número, y extranjeros en ella.
13 And they went from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people.
Y anduvieron de gente en gente, de un reino a otro pueblo.
14 He suffered no man to oppress them, and reproved kings for their sakes,
No consintió que hombre los agraviase; y por causa de ellos castigó los reyes.
15 [Saying, ] Touch not mine anointed ones, and do my prophets no harm.
Diciendo: No toquéis a mis ungidos, ni hagáis mal a mis profetas.
16 And he called for a famine upon the land; he broke the whole staff of bread.
Y llamó al hambre sobre la tierra, y quebrantó toda fuerza de pan.
17 He sent a man before them: Joseph was sold for a bondman.
Envió un varón delante de ellos, a José, que fue vendido por siervo.
18 They afflicted his feet with fetters; his soul came into irons;
Afligieron sus pies con grillos; en hierro fue puesta su alma.
19 Until the time when what he said came about: the word of Jehovah tried him.
Hasta la hora que llegó su palabra, el dicho del SEÑOR le purificó.
20 The king sent and loosed him — the ruler of peoples — and let him go free.
Envió el rey, y le soltó; el señor de los pueblos, y le desató.
21 He made him lord of his house, and ruler over all his possessions:
Lo puso por señor de su casa, y por enseñoreador en toda su posesión;
22 To bind his princes at his pleasure, and teach his elders wisdom.
para echar presos sus príncipes como él quisiese, y enseñó sabiduría a sus ancianos.
23 And Israel came into Egypt, and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
Después entró Israel en Egipto, y Jacob fue extranjero en la tierra de Cam.
24 And he made his people exceeding fruitful, and made them mightier than their oppressors.
Y multiplicó su pueblo en gran manera, y lo hizo más fuerte que sus enemigos.
25 He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.
Volvió el corazón de ellos para que aborreciesen a su pueblo, para que pensasen mal contra sus siervos.
26 He sent Moses his servant, [and] Aaron whom he had chosen:
Envió a su siervo Moisés, y a Aarón al cual escogió.
27 They set his signs among them, and miracles in the land of Ham.
Puso en ellos las palabras de sus señales, y sus prodigios en la tierra de Cam.
28 He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.
Echó tinieblas, e hizo oscuridad; y no fueron rebeldes a su palabra.
29 He turned their waters into blood, and caused their fish to die.
Volvió sus aguas en sangre, y mató sus peces.
30 Their land swarmed with frogs, — in the chambers of their kings.
Engendró ranas su tierra, ranas en las camas de sus mismos reyes.
31 He spoke, and there came dog-flies, [and] gnats in all their borders.
Dijo, y vinieron enjambres de moscas, y piojos en todo su término.
32 He gave them hail for rain, [and] flaming fire in their land;
Volvió sus lluvias en granizo; en fuego de llamas en su tierra.
33 And he smote their vines and their fig-trees, and broke the trees of their borders.
E hirió sus viñas y sus higueras, y quebró los árboles de su término.
34 He spoke, and the locust came, and the cankerworm, even without number;
Dijo, y vinieron langostas, y pulgón sin número;
35 And they devoured every herb in their land, and ate up the fruit of their ground.
y comieron toda la hierba de su tierra, y comieron el fruto de su tierra.
36 And he smote every firstborn in their land, the firstfruits of all their vigour.
Hirió además a todos los primogénitos en su tierra, el principio de toda su fuerza.
37 And he brought them forth with silver and gold; and there was not one feeble among their tribes.
Y los sacó con plata y oro; y no hubo en sus tribus enfermo.
38 Egypt rejoiced at their departure; for the fear of them had fallen upon them.
Egipto se alegró en su salida; porque había caído sobre ellos su terror.
39 He spread a cloud for a covering, and fire to give light in the night.
Extendió una nube por cubierta, y fuego para alumbrar la noche.
40 They asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
Pidieron, e hizo venir codornices; y de pan del cielo los sació.
41 He opened the rock, and waters gushed forth; they ran in the dry places [like] a river.
Abrió la peña, y corrieron aguas; fluyeron por los secadales un río.
42 For he remembered his holy word, [and] Abraham his servant;
Porque se acordó de su santa palabra con Abraham su siervo.
43 And he brought forth his people with gladness, his chosen with rejoicing;
Y sacó a su pueblo con gozo; con júbilo a sus escogidos.
44 And he gave them the lands of the nations, and they took possession of the labour of the peoples:
Y les dio las tierras de los gentiles; y las labores de las naciones heredaron,
45 That they might keep his statutes, and observe his laws. Hallelujah!
para que guardasen sus estatutos, y observasen sus leyes. Alelu-JAH.
