Psalms 105
1 Give ye thanks unto Jehovah, call upon his name; make known his acts among the peoples.
Slavite Gospoda, razglasujte ime njegovo; med ljudstvi oznanjujte dejanja njegova.
2 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him; meditate upon all his wondrous works.
Pojte mu, prepevajte mu, razgovarjajte se o vseh čudovitih delih njegovih.
3 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek Jehovah.
Hvalite se v svetem imenu njegovem; veseli se naj srce njih, ki iščejo Gospoda.
4 Seek Jehovah and his strength, seek his face continually;
Iščite Gospoda in moči njegove; iščite vedno njegovega obličja.
5 Remember his wondrous works which he hath done, his miracles and the judgments of his mouth:
Spominjajte se čudovitih del njegovih, katera je storil; čudežev njegovih in sodbâ ust njegovih.
6 Ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye sons of Jacob, his chosen ones.
O seme Abrahama, njegovega hlapca; o izvoljeni sina njegovega Jakoba!
7 He, Jehovah, is our God; his judgments are in all the earth.
Ta je Gospod, Bog naš, po vsej zemlji so sodbe njegove.
8 He is ever mindful of his covenant, — the word which he commanded to a thousand generations, —
Spominja se vekomaj zaveze svoje, besede, katero je zapovedal na tisoč rodov,
9 Which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac;
Katero je sklenil z Abrahamom, in prisege svoje Izaku,
10 And he confirmed it unto Jacob for a statute, unto Israel for an everlasting covenant,
Katero je dal Jakobu v postavo; Izraelu v vedno zavezo.
11 Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;
Govoreč: Tebi hočem dati deželo Kanaansko, vrvco posesti vaše.
12 When they were a few men in number, of small account, and strangers in it.
Dasí je bilo ljudî malo, prav malo, in tujci v njej,
13 And they went from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people.
In so hodili od naroda do naroda, iz kraljestva k drugemu ljudstvu;
14 He suffered no man to oppress them, and reproved kings for their sakes,
Ni dovolil zatíratí jih nikomur; dà, strahoval je zavolje njih kralje:
15 [Saying, ] Touch not mine anointed ones, and do my prophets no harm.
Ne dotaknite se maziljencev mojih, in ne storite žalega prerokom."
16 And he called for a famine upon the land; he broke the whole staff of bread.
Ko je bil poklical lakot nad deželo, in kruhu strl vso podporo;
17 He sent a man before them: Joseph was sold for a bondman.
Poslal je bil moža pred njimi odličnega; kateri je bil v sužnjost prodan, Jožefa.
18 They afflicted his feet with fetters; his soul came into irons;
Noge njegove so vklenili z vezjo, v železo se je on podal.
19 Until the time when what he said came about: the word of Jehovah tried him.
Noter do časa, ko je imela priti beseda njegova; govor Gospodov ga je potrdil.
20 The king sent and loosed him — the ruler of peoples — and let him go free.
Poslal je kralj in velel ga razvezati; in poglavar ljudstev ga je oprostil.
21 He made him lord of his house, and ruler over all his possessions:
Postavil ga je za gospoda družini svoji, in za poglavarja vsej svoji posesti,
22 To bind his princes at his pleasure, and teach his elders wisdom.
Da bi zvezaval kneze po volji svoji, in podučeval njih starejšine.
23 And Israel came into Egypt, and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
Nato je prišel Izrael v Egipt, in Jakob je tujčeval po deželi Kamovi.
24 And he made his people exceeding fruitful, and made them mightier than their oppressors.
Ko je bil tam storil Bog, da je bilo ljudstvo njegovo silno rodovitno, in ga je bil močnejšega naredil od sovražnikov njegovih,
25 He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.
Izpremenil je njih srce, da so sovražili ljudstvo njegovo, da so naklepe delali zoper hlapce njegove.
26 He sent Moses his servant, [and] Aaron whom he had chosen:
Poslal je Mojzesa, hlapca svojega, Arona, katerega je bil izvolil.
27 They set his signs among them, and miracles in the land of Ham.
Razlagala sta pred njimi besede znamenj njegovih, in čudežev v deželi Kamovi.
28 He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.
Poslal je temé, in otemnile so jo, in upirala se niso znamenja zoper besedo njegovo.
29 He turned their waters into blood, and caused their fish to die.
Izpremenil je bil v kri njih vodé, in pokončal je bil njih ribe.
30 Their land swarmed with frogs, — in the chambers of their kings.
Obilo je rodila njih dežela žab, ki so napadle kraljev samih stanice.
31 He spoke, and there came dog-flies, [and] gnats in all their borders.
Ko je izrekel, prišlo je krdelo živali; uši na vso njih pokrajino.
32 He gave them hail for rain, [and] flaming fire in their land;
Dež jim je naredil v točo, ogenj silno plameneč v njih kraji.
33 And he smote their vines and their fig-trees, and broke the trees of their borders.
S tem je zadel njih trte in njih smokve, in polomil njih pokrajine drevesa.
34 He spoke, and the locust came, and the cankerworm, even without number;
Ko je izrekel, prišla je kobilica in hrošč, in ta brez števila.
35 And they devoured every herb in their land, and ate up the fruit of their ground.
On je požrl vso travo njih kraja, in požrl sad njih dežele.
36 And he smote every firstborn in their land, the firstfruits of all their vigour.
Slednjič je udaril vse prvorojeno v njih kraji; prvino vse njih moči.
37 And he brought them forth with silver and gold; and there was not one feeble among their tribes.
Tedaj jih je izpeljal sè srebrom in zlatom, in ni ga bilo, da bi pešal, med njih rodovi.
38 Egypt rejoiced at their departure; for the fear of them had fallen upon them.
Veselili so se Egipčani, ko so izhajali tí; ker njih strah jih je bil obšel.
39 He spread a cloud for a covering, and fire to give light in the night.
Razgrnil je oblak za odejo, in ogenj, da je noč razsvetljeval.
40 They asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
Prosili so, in poslal jim je prepelic, in s kruhom nebeškim jih je sitil.
41 He opened the rock, and waters gushed forth; they ran in the dry places [like] a river.
In odprl je skalo, in pritekle so vode, ter šle so po suhih krajih, kakor reka.
42 For he remembered his holy word, [and] Abraham his servant;
Ker se je spominjal besede svetosti svoje, z Abrahamom, hlapcem svojim.
43 And he brought forth his people with gladness, his chosen with rejoicing;
Zató je izpeljal ljudstvo svoje, z veseljem, s petjem izvoljene svoje.
44 And he gave them the lands of the nations, and they took possession of the labour of the peoples:
In dal jim je kraje narodov, in delo ljudstev so posedli;
45 That they might keep his statutes, and observe his laws. Hallelujah!
Da se držé postav njegovih, in hranijo zakone njegove.
