< Psalms 105 >

1 Give ye thanks unto Jehovah, call upon his name; make known his acts among the peoples.
Mwebaze Mukama, mukoowoole erinnya lye; amawanga gonna mugategeeze by’akoze.
2 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him; meditate upon all his wondrous works.
Mumuyimbire, mumutendereze; muyimbe ku byamagero bye.
3 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek Jehovah.
Mumusuute, ng’erinnya lye ettukuvu muligulumiza; emitima gy’abo abanoonya Mukama gijjule essanyu.
4 Seek Jehovah and his strength, seek his face continually;
Munoonye Mukama n’amaanyi ge; mumunoonyenga ennaku zonna.
5 Remember his wondrous works which he hath done, his miracles and the judgments of his mouth:
Mujjukirenga eby’ekitalo bye yakola, ebyamagero bye, n’emisango gye yasala;
6 Ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye sons of Jacob, his chosen ones.
mmwe abazzukulu ba Ibulayimu, abaweereza be mmwe abaana ba Yakobo, abalonde be.
7 He, Jehovah, is our God; his judgments are in all the earth.
Ye Mukama Katonda waffe; ye alamula mu nsi yonna.
8 He is ever mindful of his covenant, — the word which he commanded to a thousand generations, —
Ajjukira endagaano ye emirembe gyonna, kye kigambo kye yalagira, ekyakamala emirembe olukumi,
9 Which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac;
ye ndagaano gye yakola ne Ibulayimu, era kye kisuubizo kye yalayirira Isaaka.
10 And he confirmed it unto Jacob for a statute, unto Israel for an everlasting covenant,
Yakikakasa Yakobo ng’etteeka, n’akiwa Isirayiri ng’endagaano eteriggwaawo nti,
11 Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;
“Ndikuwa ggwe ensi ya Kanani okuba omugabo gwo.”
12 When they were a few men in number, of small account, and strangers in it.
Bwe baali bakyali batono, nga si bangi n’akamu, era nga bagwira mu nsi omwo,
13 And they went from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people.
baatambulatambulanga okuva mu ggwanga erimu okulaga mu ddala, ne bavanga mu bwakabaka obumu ne balaga mu bulala.
14 He suffered no man to oppress them, and reproved kings for their sakes,
Teyaganya muntu yenna kubayisa bubi; n’alabulanga bakabaka ku lwabwe nti,
15 [Saying, ] Touch not mine anointed ones, and do my prophets no harm.
“Abalonde bange, ne bannabbi bange temubakolangako kabi.”
16 And he called for a famine upon the land; he broke the whole staff of bread.
Yaleeta enjala mu nsi, emmere yaabwe yonna n’agizikiriza.
17 He sent a man before them: Joseph was sold for a bondman.
N’atuma omuntu okubeesooka mu maaso, ye Yusufu eyatundibwa ng’omuddu,
18 They afflicted his feet with fetters; his soul came into irons;
ebigere bye ne binuubulwa enjegere ze baamusibya, obulago bwe ne buteekebwa mu byuma,
19 Until the time when what he said came about: the word of Jehovah tried him.
okutuusa bye yategeeza lwe byatuukirira, okutuusa ekigambo kya Mukama lwe kyamukakasa nti bye yayogera bya mazima.
20 The king sent and loosed him — the ruler of peoples — and let him go free.
Kabaka n’atuma ne bamusumulula; omufuzi w’ensi eyo yamuggya mu kkomera.
21 He made him lord of his house, and ruler over all his possessions:
Yamufuula omukulu w’eby’omu maka ge, n’akulira byonna omufuzi oyo bye yalina;
22 To bind his princes at his pleasure, and teach his elders wisdom.
okukangavvulanga abalangira be nga bwe yalabanga, n’okuyigiriza abakulu eby’amagezi.
23 And Israel came into Egypt, and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
Oluvannyuma Isirayiri n’ajja mu Misiri; Yakobo bw’atyo n’atuula mu nsi ya Kaamu nga munnaggwanga.
24 And he made his people exceeding fruitful, and made them mightier than their oppressors.
Mukama n’ayaza nnyo abantu be; ne baba bangi nnyo, n’abalabe baabwe ne beeraliikirira,
25 He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.
n’akyusa emitima gyabwe ne bakyawa abantu be, ne basalira abaweereza be enkwe.
26 He sent Moses his servant, [and] Aaron whom he had chosen:
Yatuma abaweereza be Musa ne Alooni, be yalonda.
27 They set his signs among them, and miracles in the land of Ham.
Ne bakola obubonero bwe obw’ekitalo mu bantu abo; ne bakolera ebyamagero bye mu nsi ya Kaamu.
28 He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.
Yaleeta ekizikiza ensi yonna n’ekwata, kubanga baali bajeemedde ekigambo kye.
29 He turned their waters into blood, and caused their fish to die.
Amazzi gaabwe yagafuula omusaayi, ne kireetera ebyennyanja byabwe okufa.
30 Their land swarmed with frogs, — in the chambers of their kings.
Ensi yaabwe yajjula ebikere, ebyatuukira ddala ne mu bisenge by’abafuzi baabwe.
31 He spoke, and there came dog-flies, [and] gnats in all their borders.
Yalagira, ebiwuka ebya buli ngeri ne bijja, n’ensekere ne zeeyiwa mu bitundu byonna eby’ensi yaabwe.
32 He gave them hail for rain, [and] flaming fire in their land;
Yafuula enkuba okuba amayinja g’omuzira; eggulu ne libwatuka mu nsi yaabwe yonna.
33 And he smote their vines and their fig-trees, and broke the trees of their borders.
Yakuba emizeeyituuni n’emizabbibu, n’azikiriza emiti gy’omu nsi yaabwe.
34 He spoke, and the locust came, and the cankerworm, even without number;
Yalagira, enzige ne zijja ne bulusejjera obutabalika muwendo.
35 And they devoured every herb in their land, and ate up the fruit of their ground.
Ne birya buli kimera kyonna mu nsi yaabwe, na buli kisimbe kyonna mu ttaka lyabwe ne kiriibwa.
36 And he smote every firstborn in their land, the firstfruits of all their vigour.
N’azikiriza abaana ababereberye bonna mu nsi yaabwe, nga bye bibala ebisooka eby’obuvubuka bwabwe.
37 And he brought them forth with silver and gold; and there was not one feeble among their tribes.
Yaggya Abayisirayiri mu nsi eyo nga balina ffeeza nnyingi ne zaabu; era bonna baali ba maanyi.
38 Egypt rejoiced at their departure; for the fear of them had fallen upon them.
Abamisiri baasanyuka bwe baalaba Abayisirayiri nga bagenze, kubanga baali batandise okubatiira ddala.
39 He spread a cloud for a covering, and fire to give light in the night.
Yayanjuluzanga ekire ne kibabikka, n’omuliro ne gubamulisiza ekiro.
40 They asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
Baamusaba, n’abaweereza enkwale era n’abaliisanga emmere eva mu ggulu ne bakkuta.
41 He opened the rock, and waters gushed forth; they ran in the dry places [like] a river.
Yayasa olwazi, amazzi ne gatiiriika, ne gakulukuta mu ddungu ng’omugga.
42 For he remembered his holy word, [and] Abraham his servant;
Kubanga yajjukira ekisuubizo kye ekitukuvu kye yawa omuweereza we Ibulayimu.
43 And he brought forth his people with gladness, his chosen with rejoicing;
Abantu be yabaggyayo nga bajaguza, abalonde be nga bayimba olw’essanyu.
44 And he gave them the lands of the nations, and they took possession of the labour of the peoples:
Yabawa ensi eyali ey’amawanga amalala, ne basikira ebyo abalala bye baakolerera;
45 That they might keep his statutes, and observe his laws. Hallelujah!
balyoke bakwatenga amateeka ge, era bagonderenga ebiragiro bye. Mumutendereze Mukama.
