Psalms 102
1 A Prayer of the afflicted, when he is overwhelmed, and poureth out his complaint before Jehovah. Jehovah, hear my prayer, and let my cry come unto thee.
Éternel, écoute ma prière, et que mon cri parvienne jusqu'à toi!
2 Hide not thy face from me: in the day of my trouble, incline thine ear unto me; in the day I call, answer me speedily.
Ne me cache point ta face; au jour de ma détresse, incline vers moi ton oreille; au jour que je t'invoque, hâte-toi, réponds-moi!
3 For my days are consumed like smoke, and my bones are burned as a firebrand.
Car mes jours s'en vont comme la fumée, et mes os sont brûlés comme un foyer.
4 My heart is smitten and withered like grass; yea, I have forgotten to eat my bread.
Mon cœur a été frappé, et s'est desséché comme l'herbe; tellement que j'ai oublié de manger mon pain.
5 By reason of the voice of my groaning, my bones cleave to my flesh.
A force de crier en gémissant, mes os sont attachés à ma chair.
6 I am become like the pelican of the wilderness, I am as an owl in desolate places;
Je ressemble au pélican du désert; je suis comme la chouette des masures.
7 I watch, and am like a sparrow alone upon the housetop.
Je veille, et je suis semblable à un passereau solitaire sur le toit.
8 Mine enemies reproach me all the day; they that are mad against me swear by me.
Tous les jours mes ennemis m'outragent, et mes adversaires en fureur jurent par mon nom.
9 For I have eaten ashes like bread, and mingled my drink with weeping,
Car j'ai mangé la cendre comme le pain, et j'ai mêlé ma boisson de pleurs,
10 Because of thine indignation and thy wrath; for thou hast lifted me up, and cast me down.
A cause de ton indignation et de ton courroux; car tu m'as enlevé et jeté au loin.
11 My days are like a lengthened-out shadow, and I, I am withered like grass.
Mes jours sont comme l'ombre à son déclin, et je deviens sec comme l'herbe.
12 But thou, Jehovah, abidest for ever, and thy memorial from generation to generation.
Mais toi, Éternel, tu règnes à perpétuité, et ta mémoire dure d'âge en âge.
13 Thou wilt rise up, thou wilt have mercy upon Zion: for it is the time to be gracious to her, for the set time is come.
Tu te lèveras, tu auras compassion de Sion; car il est temps d'en avoir pitié; car le moment est venu.
14 For thy servants take pleasure in her stones, and favour her dust.
Car tes serviteurs sont affectionnés à ses pierres, et ils ont pitié de sa poussière.
15 And the nations shall fear the name of Jehovah, and all the kings of the earth thy glory.
Alors les peuples craindront le nom de l'Éternel, et tous les rois de la terre, ta gloire;
16 When Jehovah shall build up Zion, he will appear in his glory.
Quand l'Éternel aura rebâti Sion, qu'il aura paru dans sa gloire,
17 He will regard the prayer of the destitute one, and not despise their prayer.
Qu'il aura écouté la requête des désolés, et n'aura pas dédaigné leur supplication.
18 This shall be written for the generation to come; and a people that shall be created shall praise Jah:
Cela sera écrit pour la génération à venir; et le peuple qui sera créé, louera l'Éternel.
19 For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from the heavens hath Jehovah beheld the earth,
Parce qu'il aura regardé du lieu élevé de sa sainteté, et que des cieux l'Éternel aura jeté les yeux sur la terre,
20 To hear the groaning of the prisoner, to loose those that are appointed to die;
Pour entendre les gémissements des captifs, pour délivrer ceux qui sont voués à la mort;
21 That the name of Jehovah may be declared in Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem,
Afin qu'on célèbre en Sion le nom de l'Éternel, et sa louange dans Jérusalem,
22 When the peoples shall be gathered together, and the kingdoms, to serve Jehovah.
Quand tous les peuples s'assembleront, et tous les royaumes, pour servir l'Éternel.
23 He weakened my strength in the way, he shortened my days.
Il a abattu ma force en chemin; il a abrégé mes jours.
24 I said, My God, take me not away in the midst of my days! ...Thy years are from generation to generation.
J'ai dit: Mon Dieu, ne m'enlève pas au milieu de mes jours. Tes années sont d'âge en âge.
25 Of old hast thou founded the earth, and the heavens are the work of thy hands:
Tu as jadis fondé la terre, et les cieux sont l'ouvrage de tes mains.
26 They shall perish, but thou continuest; and all of them shall grow old as a garment: as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed.
Ils périront, mais toi tu subsisteras; ils vieilliront tous comme un vêtement; tu les changeras comme un habit, et ils seront changés.
27 But thou art the Same, and thy years shall have no end.
Mais toi, tu es toujours le même, et tes années ne finiront point.
28 The children of thy servants shall abide, and their seed shall be established before thee.
Les enfants de tes serviteurs habiteront en repos, et leur postérité sera affermie devant toi.
