Proverbs 8
1 Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding give forth her voice?
Ne vièe li mudrost? i razum ne pušta li glas svoj?
2 On the top of high places by the way, at the cross-paths she taketh her stand.
Navrh visina, na putu, na rasputicama stoji,
3 Beside the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors, she crieth aloud.
Kod vrata, na ulasku u grad, gdje se otvoraju vrata, vièe:
4 Unto you, men, I call, and my voice is to the sons of man:
Vas vièem, o ljudi, i glas svoj obraæam k sinovima ljudskim.
5 O ye simple, understand prudence; and ye foolish, understand sense.
Nauèite se ludi mudrosti, i bezumni orazumite se.
6 Hear, for I will speak excellent things, and the opening of my lips shall be right things.
Slušajte, jer æu govoriti velike stvari, i usne moje otvorajuæi se kazivaæe što je pravo.
7 For my palate shall meditate truth, and wickedness is an abomination to my lips.
Jer usta moja govore istinu, i mrska je usnama mojim bezbožnost.
8 All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing tortuous or perverse in them.
Prave su sve rijeèi usta mojih, ništa nema u njima krivo ni izopaèeno.
9 They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge.
Sve su obiène razumnomu i prave su onima koji nalaze znanje.
10 Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold:
Primite nastavu moju a ne srebro, i znanje radije nego najbolje zlato.
11 for wisdom is better than rubies, and all the things that may be desired are not equal to it.
Jer je bolja mudrost od dragoga kamenja, i što je god najmilijih stvari ne mogu se izjednaèiti s njom.
12 I wisdom dwell [with] prudence, and find the knowledge [which cometh] of reflection.
Ja mudrost boravim s razboritošæu, i razumno znanje nalazim.
13 The fear of Jehovah is to hate evil; pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth do I hate.
Strah je Gospodnji mržnja na zlo; ja mrzim na ponositost i na oholost i na zli put i na usta opaka.
14 Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am intelligence; I have strength.
Moj je savjet i što god jest; ja sam razum i moja je sila.
15 By me kings reign, and rulers make just decrees;
Mnom carevi caruju, i vladaoci postavljaju pravdu.
16 by me princes rule, and nobles, all the judges of the earth.
Mnom vladaju knezovi i poglavari i sve sudije zemaljske.
17 I love those that love me; and they that seek me early shall find me.
Ja ljubim one koji mene ljube, i koji me dobro traže nalaze me.
18 Riches and honour are with me; durable wealth and righteousness.
U mene je bogatstvo i slava, postojano dobro i pravda.
19 My fruit is better than fine gold, yea, than pure gold; and my revenue than choice silver.
Plod je moj bolji od zlata i od najboljega zlata, i dobitak je moj bolji od najboljega srebra.
20 I walk in the path of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:
Putem pravednijem hodim, posred staza pravice,
21 that I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasuries.
Da onima koji me ljube dam ono što jest, i riznice njihove da napunim.
22 Jehovah possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.
Gospod me je imao u poèetku puta svojega, prije djela svojih, prije svakoga vremena.
23 I was set up from eternity, from the beginning, before the earth was.
Prije vijekova postavljena sam, prije poèetka, prije postanja zemlje.
24 When there were no depths, I was brought forth, when there were no fountains abounding with water.
Kad jošte ne bijaše bezdana, rodila sam se, kad još ne bijaše izvora obilatijeh vodom.
25 Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth;
Prije nego se gore osnovaše, prije humova ja sam se rodila;
26 while as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the beginning of the dust of the world.
Još ne bješe naèinio zemlje ni polja ni poèetka prahu vasiljenskom;
27 When he prepared the heavens I was there; when he ordained the circle upon the face of the deep;
Kad je ureðivao nebesa, ondje bijah; kad je razmjeravao krug nad bezdanom.
28 when he established the skies above, when the fountains of the deep became strong;
Kad je utvrðivao oblake gore i krijepio izvore bezdanu;
29 when he imposed on the sea his decree that the waters should not pass his commandment, when he appointed the foundations of the earth:
Kad je postavljao moru meðu i vodama da ne prestupaju zapovijesti njegove, kad je postavljao temelje zemlji;
30 then I was by him [his] nursling, and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;
Tada bijah kod njega hranjenica, bijah mu milina svaki dan, i veseljah se pred njim svagda;
31 rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth, and my delights [were] with the sons of men.
Veseljah se na vasiljenoj njegovoj, i milina mi je sa sinovima ljudskim.
32 And now, sons, hearken unto me, and blessed are they that keep my ways:
Tako dakle, sinovi, poslušajte me, jer blago onima koji se drže putova mojih.
33 hear instruction and be wise, and refuse it not.
Slušajte nastavu, i budite mudri, i nemojte je odbaciti.
34 Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.
Blago èovjeku koji me sluša stražeæi na vratima mojim svaki dan i èuvajuæi pragove vrata mojih.
35 For whoso findeth me findeth life, and obtaineth favour of Jehovah;
Jer ko mene nalazi, nalazi život i dobija ljubav od Gospoda.
36 but he that sinneth against me doeth violence to his own soul: all they that hate me love death.
A ko o mene griješi, èini krivo duši svojoj; svi koji mrze na me, ljube smrt.
