Proverbs 7
1 My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee.
Υιέ μου, φύλαττε τους λόγους μου και ταμίευσον τας εντολάς μου παρά σεαυτώ.
2 Keep my commandments, and live; and my teaching, as the apple of thine eye.
Φύλαττε τας εντολάς μου, και θέλεις ζήσει· και τον νόμον μου, ως την κόρην των οφθαλμών σου.
3 Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the tablet of thy heart.
Δέσον αυτά επί τους δακτύλους σου, εγχάραξον αυτά επί την πλάκα της καρδίας σου.
4 Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister, and call intelligence [thy] kinswoman:
Ειπέ προς την σοφίαν; συ είσαι αδελφή μου· και κάλεσον την φρόνησιν συγγενή σου·
5 that they may keep thee from the strange woman, from the stranger who flattereth with her words.
διά να σε φυλάττωσιν από ξένης γυναικός, από αλλοτρίας κολακευούσης διά των λόγων αυτής.
6 For at the window of my house, I looked forth through my lattice,
Επειδή από του παραθύρου της οικίας μου έκυψα διά του δικτυωτού μου·
7 and I beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the sons, a young man void of understanding,
και είδον μεταξύ των αφρόνων, παρετήρησα μεταξύ των νεανίσκων, νέον ενδεή φρενών·
8 passing through the street near her corner; and he went the way to her house,
όστις διέβαινε διά της πλατείας, πλησίον της γωνίας αυτής, και διήρχετο την οδόν προς την οικίαν αυτής,
9 in the twilight, in the evening of the day, in the blackness of night and the darkness.
εν τω εσπερινώ σκότει της ημέρας, εν τω σκοτασμώ της νυκτός και τω γνόφω·
10 And behold, there met him a woman in the attire of a harlot, and subtle of heart.
και ιδού, συναπαντά αυτόν γυνή έχουσα σχήμα πορνικόν, και καρδίαν δολιόφρονα,
11 She is clamorous and unmanageable; her feet abide not in her house:
φλύαρος και αναιδής· οι πόδες αυτής δεν μένουσιν εν τω οίκω αυτής·
12 now without, now in the broadways, — and she lieth in wait at every corner.
τώρα είναι έξω, τώρα εν ταις πλατείαις, και ενεδρεύει πλησίον πάσης γωνίας.
13 And she caught him and kissed him, and with an impudent face said unto him,
Και πιάνει αυτόν και φιλεί αυτόν και με αναιδές πρόσωπον λέγει προς αυτόν,
14 I have peace-offerings with me; this day have I paid my vows:
Έχω θυσίας ειρηνικάς· σήμερον απέδωκα τας ευχάς μου·
15 therefore came I forth to meet thee, to seek earnestly thy face, and I have found thee.
διά τούτο εξήλθον εις απάντησίν σου, ποθούσα το πρόσωπόν σου, και σε εύρηκα·
16 I have decked my bed with tapestry coverlets of variegated linen from Egypt;
έστρωσα την κλίνην μου με πέπλους, με τάπητας πεποικιλμένους, με νήματα της Αιγύπτου·
17 I have perfumed my couch with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.
εθυμίασα την κλίνην μου με σμύρναν, αλόην και κινάμωμον·
18 Come, let us revel in love until the morning, let us delight ourselves with loves.
ελθέ, ας μεθυσθώμεν από έρωτος μέχρι της αυγής· ας εντρυφήσωμεν εις έρωτας·
19 For the husband is not at home, he is gone a long journey;
διότι δεν είναι ο ανήρ εν τη οικία αυτού, υπήγεν εις οδόν μακράν·
20 he hath taken the money-bag with him, he will come home on the day of the full moon.
έλαβε βαλάντιον αργυρίου εν τη χειρί αυτού· εν ωρισμένω καιρώ θέλει επανέλθει εις την οικίαν αυτού.
21 With her much enticement she beguiled him; with the smoothness of her lips she constrained him.
Διά της πολλής αυτής τέχνης απεπλάνησεν αυτόν· διά της κολακείας των χειλέων αυτής είλκυσεν αυτόν.
22 He went after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, and as stocks [serve] for the correction of the fool;
Ευθύς ακολουθεί αυτήν κατόπιν, καθώς ο βους υπάγει εις την σφαγήν, ή καθώς η έλαφος πηδά εις τον βρόχον,
23 till an arrow strike through his liver: as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for its life.
εωσού βέλος διαπεράση το ήπαρ αυτής· καθώς το πτηνόν σπεύδει εις την παγίδα και δεν εξεύρει ότι είναι εναντίον της ζωής αυτού.
24 And now, ye sons, hearken unto me, and attend to the words of my mouth.
Τώρα λοιπόν ακούσατέ μου, τέκνα, και προσέχετε εις τους λόγους του στόματός μου.
25 Let not thy heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths:
Ας μη εκκλίνη εις τας οδούς αυτής η καρδία σου, μη παρεκτραπής εις τας τρίβους αυτής.
26 for she hath cast down many wounded, and all slain by her were strong.
Διότι πολλούς έκαμε να πέσωσι πεπληγωμένοι, και δυνατοί είναι οι φονευθέντες υπ' αυτής.
