< Proverbs 5 >

1 My son, attend unto my wisdom, incline thine ear to my understanding;
Mwana wanga, mvetsera bwino za nzeru zimene ndikukuwuzazi, tchera khutu ku mawu odziwitsa bwino zinthu ndikukupatsa,
2 that thou mayest keep reflection, and that thy lips may preserve knowledge.
kuti uthe kuchita zinthu mochenjera ndi mwanzeru ndiponso kuti utetezedwe ku mayankhulidwe a mkazi wachilendo.
3 For the lips of the strange woman drop honey, and her mouth is smoother than oil;
Pakuti mkazi wachigololo ali ndi mawu okoma ngati uchi. Zoyankhula zake ndi zosalala ngati mafuta,
4 but her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword.
koma kotsirizira kwake ngowawa ngati ndulu; ngakuthwa ngati lupanga lakuthwa konsekonse.
5 Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
Mapazi ake amatsikira ku imfa; akamayenda ndiye kuti akupita ku manda. (Sheol h7585)
6 Lest she should ponder the path of life, her ways wander, she knoweth not [whither].
Iye saganizirapo za njira ya moyo; njira zake ndi zokhotakhota koma iye sadziwa izi.
7 And now, children, hearken unto me, and depart not from the words of my mouth.
Tsopano ana inu, mundimvere; musawasiye mawu anga.
8 Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house:
Uziyenda kutali ndi mkazi wotereyo, usayandikire khomo la nyumba yake,
9 lest thou give thine honour unto others, and thy years unto the cruel;
kuopa kuti ungadzalanditse ulemerero wako kwa anthu ena; ndi zaka zako kwa anthu ankhanza,
10 lest strangers be filled with thy wealth, and the fruits of thy toil [come] into the house of a stranger;
kapenanso alendo angadyerere chuma chako ndi phindu la ntchito yako kulemeretsa anthu ena.
11 and thou mourn in thine end, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed;
Potsiriza pa moyo wako udzabuwula, thupi lako lonse litatheratu.
12 and thou say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof!
Ndipo udzati, “Mayo ine, ndinkadana ndi kusunga mwambo! Mtima wanga unkanyoza chidzudzulo!
13 and I have not hearkened unto the voice of my teachers, nor inclined mine ear to those that instructed me;
Sindinamvere aphunzitsi anga kapena alangizi anga.
14 I was well nigh in all evil in the midst of the congregation and assembly.
Ine ndatsala pangʼono kuti ndiwonongeke pakati pa msonkhano wonse.”
15 Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well.
Imwa madzi a mʼchitsime chakochako, madzi abwino ochokera mʼchitsime chako.
16 Thy fountains shall be poured forth, as water-brooks in the broadways.
Kodi akasupe ako azingosefukira mʼmisewu? Kodi mitsinje yako izingoyendayenda mʼzipata za mzinda?
17 Let them be only thine own, and not strangers' with thee.
Mitsinjeyo ikhale ya iwe wekha, osati uyigawireko alendo.
18 Let thy fountain be blessed; and have joy of the wife of thy youth.
Yehova adalitse kasupe wako, ndipo usangalale ndi mkazi wa unyamata wako.
19 As a lovely hind and a graceful roe, let her breasts satisfy thee at all times: be thou ravished continually with her love.
Iye uja ali ngati mbalale yayikazi yokongola ndiponso ngati gwape wa maonekedwe abwino. Ukhutitsidwe ndi mawere ake nthawi zonse, ndipo utengeke ndi chikondi chake nthawi zonse.
20 And why shouldest thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of a stranger?
Mwana wanga, nʼchifukwa chiyani ukukopeka ndi mkazi wachigololo? Bwanji ukukumbatira mkazi wachilendo?
21 For the ways of man are before the eyes of Jehovah, and he pondereth all his paths.
Pakuti mayendedwe onse a munthu Yehova amawaona, ndipo Iye amapenyetsetsa njira zake zonse.
22 His own iniquities shall take the wicked, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sin.
Ntchito zoyipa za munthu woyipa zimamukola yekha; zingwe za tchimo lake zimamumanga yekha.
23 He shall die for want of discipline; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.
Iye adzafa chifukwa chosowa mwambo, adzasocheretsedwa chifukwa cha uchitsiru wake waukulu.
