Proverbs 30
1 The words of Agur the son of Jakeh; the prophecy uttered by the man unto Ithiel, [even] unto Ithiel and Ucal:
౧ఇది దేవోక్తి. అంటే యాకె కుమారుడు ఆగూరు పలికిన మాటలు. అతడు ఈతీయేలుకు, ఉక్కాలుకు చెప్పిన మాట.
2 Truly I am more stupid than any one; and I have not a man's intelligence.
౨నిశ్చయంగా మనుషుల్లో నావంటి పశుప్రాయుడు లేడు. మనుషులకు ఉండవలసిన ఇంగితం నాకు లేదు.
3 I have neither learned wisdom, nor have I the knowledge of the Holy.
౩నేను జ్ఞానాన్ని అభ్యసించలేదు. పరిశుద్ధ దేవుని గూర్చిన జ్ఞానం పొందలేదు.
4 Who hath ascended up into the heavens, and descended? Who hath gathered the wind in his fists? Who hath bound the waters in a mantle? Who hath established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou knowest?
౪ఆకాశానికెక్కి దిగివచ్చిన వాడెవడు? తన పిడికిళ్లతో గాలిని పట్టుకున్నవాడెవడు? బట్టలో నీళ్లు మూటకట్టినవాడెవడు? భూమి దిక్కులన్నిటిని స్థాపించిన వాడెవడు? ఆయన పేరుగానీ ఆయన కుమారుడి పేరుగానీ నీకు తెలుసా?
5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
౫దేవుని మాటలన్నీ పవిత్రమైనవే. ఆయన్ని ఆశ్రయించే వారికి ఆయన డాలు.
6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
౬ఆయన మాటలతో ఏమీ చేర్చవద్దు. ఆయన నిన్ను గద్దిస్తాడేమో. అప్పుడు నీవు అబద్ధికుడివౌతావు.
7 Two things do I ask of thee; deny me [them] not before I die:
౭దేవా, నేను నీతో రెండు మనవులు చేసుకుంటున్నాను. నేను చనిపోకముందు వాటిని నాకు అనుగ్రహించు.
8 Remove far from me vanity and lies; give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with the bread of my daily need:
౮వ్యర్థమైన వాటిని ఆబద్ధాలను నాకు దూరం చెయ్యి. పేదరికాన్నిగానీ ఐశ్వర్యాన్ని గానీ నాకు ఇవ్వొద్దు. చాలినంత అన్నం మాత్రం పెట్టు.
9 lest I be full and deny [thee], and say, Who is Jehovah? or lest I be poor and steal, and outrage the name of my God.
౯ఎక్కువైతే నేను కడుపు నిండి నిన్ను తిరస్కరించి “యెహోవా ఎవరు?” అంటానేమో. లేదా పేదరికం వల్ల దొంగతనం చేసి నా దేవుని నామాన్ని తెగనాడతానేమో.
10 Speak not too much about a servant to his master, lest he curse thee, and thou be held guilty.
౧౦దాసుని గూర్చి వాడి యజమానితో కొండేలు చెప్పకు. వాడు నిన్ను తిట్టుకుంటాడు. ఒకవేళ నీవు శిక్షార్హుడి వౌతావు.
11 There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother;
౧౧తమ తండ్రిని శాపనార్థాలు పెడుతూ, తల్లిపట్ల వాత్సల్యత చూపని తరం ఉంది.
12 there is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, yet are not washed from their filthiness;
౧౨తమ దృష్టికి తాము శుద్ధులై తమ మాలిన్యం శుభ్రం కానీ తరం ఉంది.
13 there is a generation, — how lofty are their eyes, how their eyelids are lifted up!
౧౩కళ్ళు నెత్తికి వచ్చినవారి తరం ఉంది. వారి కనురెప్పలు ఎంత పైకి వెళ్లి పోయాయో గదా!
14 — a generation whose teeth are swords, and their jaw-teeth knives, to devour the afflicted from off the earth, and the needy from [among] men.
౧౪దేశంలో ఉండకుండాా దరిద్రులను మింగేస్తూ మనుషుల్లో ఉండకుండాా పేదలను నశింపజేయడానికి కత్తుల్లాటి పళ్లు, పదునైన దవడ పళ్లు ఉన్న వారి తరం ఉంది.
15 The leech hath two daughters: Give, give. There are three [things] never satisfied; four which say not, It is enough:
౧౫జలగకు ఇవ్వు, ఇవ్వు అనే పేరున్న కూతురులిద్దరు ఉన్నారు. తృప్తిలేనివి మూడు ఉన్నాయి. చాలు అని పలకనివి నాలుగు ఉన్నాయి.
16 — Sheol, and the barren womb; the earth which is not filled with water, and the fire which saith not, It is enough. (Sheol h7585)
౧౬పాతాళం, గొడ్రాలి గర్భం, నీరు చాలు అనని భూమి, చాలు అనని అగ్ని. (Sheol h7585)
17 The eye that mocketh at a father, and despiseth to obey a mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat it.
౧౭తండ్రిని దూషిస్తూ తల్లి మాట వినని వాడి కళ్ళు లోయ కాకులు పీక్కుతింటాయి. పక్షిరాజు పిల్లలు వాటిని తింటాయి.
18 There are three [things] too wonderful for me, and four that I know not:
౧౮నా బుద్ధికి మించినవి మూడు ఉన్నాయి. నేను గ్రహించలేనివి నాలుగు ఉన్నాయి.
19 The way of an eagle in the heavens, the way of a serpent upon a rock, the way of a ship in the midst of the sea, and the way of a man with a maid.
౧౯అవి, అంతరిక్షంలో గరుడ పక్షి జాడ, బండమీద పాము జాడ, నడిసముద్రంలో ఓడ వెళ్ళే జాడ, కన్యతో మగవాడి జాడ.
20 Such is the way of an adulterous woman: she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness.
౨౦వ్యభిచారిణి మార్గం కూడా అలాటిదే. ఆమె తిని నోరు తుడుచుకుని నాకేం తెలియదంటుంది.
21 Under three [things] the earth is disquieted, and under four it cannot bear up:
౨౧భూమిని వణకించేవి మూడు ఉన్నాయి, అది మోయ లేనివి నాలుగు ఉన్నాయి.
22 Under a servant when he reigneth, and a churl when he is filled with meat;
౨౨అవి గద్దెనెక్కిన సేవకుడు, కడుపు నిండా అన్నం ఉన్న మూర్ఖుడు,
23 under an odious [woman] when she is married, and a handmaid when she is heir to her mistress.
౨౩పెళ్లి చేసుకున్న గయ్యాళి గంప, యజమానురాలికి హక్కు దారైన దాసి.
24 There are four [things] little upon the earth, and they are exceeding wise:
౨౪భూమి మీద చిన్నవి నాలుగు ఉన్నాయి అయినా అవి ఎంతో జ్ఞానం గలవి.
25 The ants, a people not strong, yet they provide their food in the summer;
౨౫చీమలు బలం లేని జీవులు. అయినా అవి వేసవిలో తమ ఆహారం సిద్ధపరచుకుంటాయి.
26 the rock-badgers are but a feeble folk, yet they make their house in the cliff;
౨౬చిన్న కుందేళ్లు బలం లేని జీవులు అయినా అవి బండ సందుల్లో నివాసాలు కల్పించుకుంటాయి.
27 the locusts have no king, yet they go forth all of them by bands;
౨౭మిడతలకు రాజు లేడు అయినా అవన్నీ బారులు తీరి సాగిపోతాయి.
28 thou takest hold of the lizard with the hands, yet is she in kings' palaces.
౨౮నీవు బల్లిని చేతితో పట్టుకోగలవు. అయినా రాజ గృహాల్లో అది ఉంటుంది.
29 There are three [things] which have a stately step, and four are comely in going:
౨౯డంబంగా నడుచుకునేవి మూడు ఉన్నాయి. ఠీవిగా నడిచేవి నాలుగు ఉన్నాయి.
30 The lion, mighty among beasts, which turneth not away for any;
౩౦అవి మృగాలన్నిటిలో బలం కలిగి ఎవరికీ భయపడి వెనుదిరుగని సింహం,
31 a [horse] girt in the loins; or the he-goat; and a king, against whom none can rise up.
౩౧బడాయిగా నడిచే కోడి పుంజు, మేకపోతు, తన సేనకు ముందు నడుస్తున్న రాజు.
32 If thou hast done foolishly in lifting up thyself, or if thou hast thought evil, [lay] the hand upon thy mouth.
౩౨నీవు బుద్ధిహీనుడవై గర్వించి ఉంటే, కీడు కలిగించే పన్నాగం పన్ని ఉంటే నీ చేత్తో నోరు మూసుకో.
33 For the pressing of milk bringeth forth butter, and the pressing of the nose bringeth forth blood; and the pressing of anger bringeth forth strife.
౩౩పాలు చిలికితే వెన్న పుడుతుంది. ముక్కు పిండితే రక్తం కారుతుంది. కోపం రేపితే కలహం పుడుతుంది.
