Proverbs 30
1 The words of Agur the son of Jakeh; the prophecy uttered by the man unto Ithiel, [even] unto Ithiel and Ucal:
ಜಾಕೆ ಎಂಬುವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಆಗೂರನ ದೈವಿಕ ಬುದ್ಧಿಮಾತುಗಳು. ಇವನು ಇಥಿಯೇಲನಿಗೂ ಉಕ್ಕಾಲನಿಗೂ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು: “ದೇವರೇ, ನಾನು ದಣಿದಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಜಯಶಾಲಿಯಾಗುವೆನು.
2 Truly I am more stupid than any one; and I have not a man's intelligence.
ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿಯೂ ನಾನು ಮನುಷ್ಯನಲ್ಲ, ಮೃಗ. ನನಗೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಗ್ರಹಿಕೆ ಇಲ್ಲ.
3 I have neither learned wisdom, nor have I the knowledge of the Holy.
ನಾನು ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಕಲಿತುಕೊಂಡಿಲ್ಲ; ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ದೇವರ ಅರಿವು ನನಗಿಲ್ಲ.
4 Who hath ascended up into the heavens, and descended? Who hath gathered the wind in his fists? Who hath bound the waters in a mantle? Who hath established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou knowest?
ಯಾರು ಸ್ವರ್ಗಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಕೆಳಗಿಳಿದು ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ? ಯಾರ ಕೈಗಳು ಗಾಳಿಯನ್ನು ಒಟ್ಟುಗೂಡಿಸಿವೆ? ಯಾರು ತಮ್ಮ ವಸ್ತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಗರಗಳನ್ನು ಮೂಟೆಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ? ಭೂಮಿಯ ಎಲ್ಲೆಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿದವರು ಯಾರು? ಅವರ ಹೆಸರೇನು? ಅವರ ಮಗನ ಹೆಸರೇನು? ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿಯೂ ನಿಮಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿರಬೇಕು!
5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
“ದೇವರ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಮಾತು ದೋಷವಿಲ್ಲದ್ದು; ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿ ಭರವಸವಿಡುವವನಿಗೆ ಅವರು ಗುರಾಣಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
ದೇವರ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಗೆ ಯಾವುದನ್ನೂ ಸೇರಿಸಬೇಡ. ಇಲ್ಲವಾದರೆ ದೇವರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಸುಳ್ಳುಗಾರನೆಂದು ಸಾಬೀತುಪಡಿಸುವರು.
7 Two things do I ask of thee; deny me [them] not before I die:
“ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಎರಡು ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನಿರಾಕರಿಸಬೇಡಿ ನಾನು ಸಾಯುವ ಮೊದಲು ಅವೆರಡನ್ನು ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸಿರಿ.
8 Remove far from me vanity and lies; give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with the bread of my daily need:
ವಂಚನೆ ಸುಳ್ಳನ್ನು ನನ್ನಿಂದ ದೂರಮಾಡಿರಿ. ಬಡತನವನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ನನಗೆ ಕೊಡಬೇಡಿರಿ. ನನಗೆ ಅನುದಿನದ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿರಿ.
9 lest I be full and deny [thee], and say, Who is Jehovah? or lest I be poor and steal, and outrage the name of my God.
ನಾನು ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತನಾದರೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನಿರಾಕರಿಸಿ, ‘ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಯಾರು?’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳೇನು. ನಾನು ಬಡವನಾದರೆ ಕಳ್ಳತನಮಾಡಿ ನನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೆಸರಿಗೆ ಅಪಕೀರ್ತಿ ತಂದೇನು.
10 Speak not too much about a servant to his master, lest he curse thee, and thou be held guilty.
“ಕೆಲಸಗಾರರ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಅವನ ಯಜಮಾನನಿಗೆ ದೂರು ಹೇಳಬೇಡ; ಇದರಿಂದ ಆ ಕೆಲಸಗಾರ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಶಪಿಸಾನು, ಆಗ ನೀನು ದೋಷಿಯಾಗುವೆ.
11 There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother;
“ತಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಶಪಿಸಿ, ತಮ್ಮ ತಾಯಿಗೆ ಶುಭವನ್ನು ಕೋರದೆ ಇರುವವರು ಇದ್ದಾರೆ.
12 there is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, yet are not washed from their filthiness;
ತಮ್ಮ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶುದ್ಧವಾಗಿರುವವರು ಇದ್ದಾರೆ; ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಕೊಳೆಯನ್ನು ತೊಳೆದುಕೊಂಡಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
13 there is a generation, — how lofty are their eyes, how their eyelids are lifted up!
ಅವರ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಅಹಂಕಾರದಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿರುತ್ತವೆ. ಅವರ ದೃಷ್ಟಿ ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ.
14 — a generation whose teeth are swords, and their jaw-teeth knives, to devour the afflicted from off the earth, and the needy from [among] men.
ಖಡ್ಗಗಳಂತೆ ಹಲ್ಲುಗಳುಳ್ಳವರೂ ಚೂರಿಗಳಂತೆ ದವಡೆಗಳುಳ್ಳವರೂ ಬಡವರನ್ನು ಭೂಮಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ದಿಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲದವರನ್ನು ಮಾನವಕುಲದಿಂದಲೂ ಕಬಳಿಸುವವರೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
15 The leech hath two daughters: Give, give. There are three [things] never satisfied; four which say not, It is enough:
“ಜಿಗಣೆಗೆ, ‘ಕೊಡು! ಕೊಡು!’ ಎಂದು ಕೂಗುವ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಹೆಣ್ಣುಮಕ್ಕಳುಂಟು. “ಎಂದಿಗೂ ತೃಪ್ತಿಪಡದ ಮೂರು ಸಂಗತಿಗಳು ಇವೆ, ಹೌದು, ‘ಸಾಕು!’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳದಿರುವ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಸಂಗತಿಗಳಿವೆ:
16 — Sheol, and the barren womb; the earth which is not filled with water, and the fire which saith not, It is enough. (Sheol h7585)
ಸಮಾಧಿ, ಬಂಜೆಯಾದ ಗರ್ಭ, ನೀರಿನಿಂದ ಎಂದೂ ತೃಪ್ತಿ ಹೊಂದದ ಭೂಮಿ, ‘ಸಾಕು!’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳದಿರುವ ಬೆಂಕಿ. (Sheol h7585)
17 The eye that mocketh at a father, and despiseth to obey a mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat it.
“ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಹಾಸ್ಯಮಾಡಿ, ತನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯನ್ನು ಧಿಕ್ಕರಿಸುವ ಕಣ್ಣನ್ನು, ಕಣಿವೆಯ ಕಾಗೆಗಳು ಕಿತ್ತು ಕಕ್ಕುವವು. ರಣಹದ್ದುಗಳು ಅದನ್ನು ತಿಂದುಬಿಡುವವು.
18 There are three [things] too wonderful for me, and four that I know not:
“ನನಗೆ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯವಾದ ಮೂರು ಸಂಗತಿಗಳಿವೆ, ಹೌದು, ನನಗೆ ಅರ್ಥವಾಗದಿರುವ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಸಂಗತಿಗಳಿವೆ:
19 The way of an eagle in the heavens, the way of a serpent upon a rock, the way of a ship in the midst of the sea, and the way of a man with a maid.
ಆಕಾಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಹದ್ದಿನ ಮಾರ್ಗ, ಬಂಡೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಸರ್ಪದ ಮಾರ್ಗ, ಸಮುದ್ರ ನಡುವೆ ಹಡಗಿನ ಮಾರ್ಗ, ಯುವಕ ಯುವತಿಯರ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಮಾರ್ಗ.
20 Such is the way of an adulterous woman: she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness.
“ಜಾರಸ್ತ್ರೀಯ ನಡತೆಯು ಹೀಗಿದೆ: ಅವಳು ತಿಂದು, ತನ್ನ ಬಾಯನ್ನು ಒರೆಸಿಕೊಂಡು ‘ನಾನು ಯಾವುದೇ ತಪ್ಪು ಮಾಡಿಲ್ಲ,’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾಳೆ.
21 Under three [things] the earth is disquieted, and under four it cannot bear up:
“ಭೂಮಿಯು ಮೂರು ವಿಷಯಗಳಿಂದ ಕಳವಳಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತದೆ, ನಾಲ್ವರನ್ನು ಅದು ತಾಳಲಾರದು:
22 Under a servant when he reigneth, and a churl when he is filled with meat;
ಅರಸನಾಗುವ ದಾಸನು, ತಿನ್ನಲು ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಪಡೆಯುವ ಮೂರ್ಖನು,
23 under an odious [woman] when she is married, and a handmaid when she is heir to her mistress.
ತಿರಸ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಅರ್ಹಳಾದ ಮಹಿಳೆ, ಮದುವೆಯಾಗುವುದು. ಪತ್ನಿಯ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಕಸಿದುಕೊಂಡ ದಾಸಿ.
24 There are four [things] little upon the earth, and they are exceeding wise:
“ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಧಿಕ ಜ್ಞಾನವುಳ್ಳವುಗಳಾದ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಸಣ್ಣ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳು ಇವೆ:
25 The ants, a people not strong, yet they provide their food in the summer;
ಇರುವೆಗಳು ಬಲಹೀನ ಜೀವಿಗಳು, ಆದರೂ ಅವು ಬೇಸಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತವೆ.
26 the rock-badgers are but a feeble folk, yet they make their house in the cliff;
ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಮೊಲಗಳು ಬಲಹೀನ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಅವು ಬಂಡೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತವೆ.
27 the locusts have no king, yet they go forth all of them by bands;
ಮಿಡತೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಅರಸನಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೂ ಅವೆಲ್ಲಾ ದಂಡುದಂಡಾಗಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತವೆ.
28 thou takest hold of the lizard with the hands, yet is she in kings' palaces.
ಹಲ್ಲಿಯನ್ನು ಅಂಗೈಯಿಂದ ಹಿಡಿಯಬಹುದಾದರೂ ಅರಸನ ಅರಮನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಡುಬರುತ್ತವೆ.
29 There are three [things] which have a stately step, and four are comely in going:
“ಗಂಭೀರ ಗಮನದ ಮೂರು ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳಿವೆ, ಹೌದು, ಗಂಭೀರ ಗತಿಯ ನಾಲ್ಕಿವೆ:
30 The lion, mighty among beasts, which turneth not away for any;
ಮೃಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಲಿಷ್ಠವಾಗಿರುವ ಸಿಂಹವು, ಯಾವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಹಿಮ್ಮೆಟ್ಟದು.
31 a [horse] girt in the loins; or the he-goat; and a king, against whom none can rise up.
ಕತ್ತೆತ್ತಿ ನಡೆಯುವ ಹುಂಜ, ಹೋತವು, ತನ್ನ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಸೈನಿಕರಿರುವ ಅರಸನು.
32 If thou hast done foolishly in lifting up thyself, or if thou hast thought evil, [lay] the hand upon thy mouth.
“ನೀನು ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಪಟ್ಟು ಮೂರ್ಖನಾಗಿ ನಡೆದಿದ್ದರೆ, ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದಾಗಿ ಆಲೋಚಿಸಿದ್ದರೆ, ನಿನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈಯಿಟ್ಟುಕೊ.
33 For the pressing of milk bringeth forth butter, and the pressing of the nose bringeth forth blood; and the pressing of anger bringeth forth strife.
ಹಾಲನ್ನು ಕಡೆಯುವುದರಿಂದ ಬೆಣ್ಣೆ, ಮೂಗನ್ನು ಹಿಂಡುವುದರಿಂದ ರಕ್ತ, ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಕೋಪವನ್ನೆಬ್ಬಿಸುವುದರಿಂದ ಜಗಳ.”
