< Proverbs 23 >
1 When thou sittest to eat with a ruler, consider well who is before thee;
Rankva ne'ene kave negahane hu'za kagima hanagenka umani'nenka ne'zama nekura, antahi so'e hutenka kva hunka ne'zana no.
2 and put a knife to thy throat, if thou be a man given to appetite.
Rama'a ne'zama ne' vahe'moka, kagraka'a knankenofi kazinuti taga hiankna nehane.
3 Be not desirous of his dainties; for they are deceitful food.
Rankva ne'mofo ne'zamo'a, kasanea osino. Na'ankure ana kaveteti, regavatga hugahie.
4 Weary not thyself to become rich; cease from thine own intelligence:
Feno vahe'ma mani'zankura maragu'zatinka kazeri havizana osunka, ama' antahi'za e'nerigeno feno vahe'ma mani antahi'zamo'a kazeri havizana osino.
5 wilt thou set thine eyes upon it, it is gone; for indeed it maketh itself wings and it flieth away as an eagle towards the heavens.
Kavuma keramage'ma hanankna huno, feno zankamo'a fanane hugahie. Na'ankure agekona eri atareno tumpa namamo hareno hampompi mareriankna huno, afe hugahie.
6 Eat thou not the food of him that hath an evil eye, neither desire thou his dainties.
Veva osu ne'mo'ma ne'za emeno huno kagi hania nezantera ovuo. Knare ne'za krentesia nezantera, ksanegura osuo.
7 For as he thinketh in his soul, so is he. Eat and drink! will he say unto thee; but his heart is not with thee.
Na'ankure agra e'inahukna ne'kino, nama'a mizana hugahie antahintahi hakare nehuno, ne'zana nenenka tina no hugahianagi, agri agu'amo'a, kagri'enena omane'ne.
8 Thy morsel which thou hast eaten must thou vomit up, and thou wilt have wasted thy sweet words.
Anama ne'nana ne'zana amu'atinetrenka, nanekema hu so'e hunte'nana zamo'a, amanezankna hugahie.
9 Speak not in the ears of a foolish [man], for he will despise the wisdom of thy words.
Neginagi vahe'ma mani'nenafina keaga osuo, na'ankure ama' antahi'zanteti hanana kea, huhaviza hugahaze.
10 Remove not the ancient landmark; and enter not into the fields of the fatherless:
Tamagehe'mo'za koma re'ne'naza kanagi kana akasi kantugma osuge, megusa mofavremofo mopa kavunofi ahenka e'orio.
11 for their redeemer is mighty; he will plead their cause against thee.
Na'ankure zamahoma ke'nia Nera hankave Ne' mani'neankino, tamagrira keaga Agra'a hurmantegahie.
12 Apply thy heart unto instruction, and thine ears to the words of knowledge.
Kagu'areti kavumro kea nentahinka, antahizama kami kere kagesa antenka antahio.
13 Withhold not correction from the child; for [if] thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die:
Mofavrema azeri fatgoma huzankura, korera osuo. Kagrama kanoma amisanana ofrigahie.
14 thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from Sheol. (Sheol )
Azeri fatgo hu kanoma ami'zamo'a, fri vahe kumapima vuzankura agu amena agu'vazigahane. (Sheol )
15 My son, if thy heart be wise, my heart shall rejoice, even mine;
Mofavre'nimoka ama' antahi'zama erisanana, Nagri nagu'amo'a muse nehuno,
16 and my reins shall exult, when thy lips speak right things.
kagipinti'ma fatgo ke'ma antahi'sugeno'a, mika nagu'amo'a muse hugahie.
17 Let not thy heart envy sinners, but [be thou] in the fear of Jehovah all the day;
Kumi vahe'mokizmi zamavu'zmavakura kegasanea osuo. Hianagi Ra Anumzamofonku kore'ma hunteno agorga'ama manizanku maka kna, kagesa antahio.
18 for surely there is a result, and thine expectation shall not be cut off.
Henkama fore hania zanku'ma tamage hunka kagesa nentahinka, amuha'ma nehana zamo'a amnezanknara osugahie.
19 Thou, my son, hear and be wise, and direct thy heart in the way.

20 Be not among winebibbers, among riotous eaters of flesh.
Rama'a aka'tima nene'za neginagi nehaza vahe'ene, rama'a zagagafamofo ame'are'ma nehaza vahe'enena, trago oteho.
21 For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty; and drowsiness clotheth with rags.
Aka tinte vahe'ene rama'a ne'zama ne' vahe'mo'za zamunte omne vahe manigahaze. Hagi zamavu'ma mase vava vahera, kukena zamimo'a tagato tagatu hugahie.
22 Hearken unto thy father that begat thee, and despise not thy mother when she is old.
Kasema kante'nea negafa ke'a nentahinka, negrera'ma tvavamaresigenka kefenkamia otro.
23 Buy the truth, and sell it not; wisdom, and instruction, and intelligence.
Tamage kema mizase'nenunka zagorera otro, ama' antahizanki, huogu'ma rempima hugamisiazanki, antahi'ama huno refkoma hu'zana erio.
24 The father of a righteous [man] shall greatly rejoice, and he that begetteth a wise [son] shall have joy of him:
Fatgo avu'ava'ma nehia mofavremofo nefa'a, tusi'a muse hugahie. Hagi ama' antahi'za eri'nea mofavre'agura, nefa'a muse huntegahie.
25 let thy father and thy mother have joy, and let her that bore thee rejoice.
E'inahu kavukva hunka negrera kfama azeri muse nehunka, ksegante'nea negrerana azeri muse huo.
26 My son, give me thy heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways.
Mofavre'nimoke, kagu'tumoka'a Nagri nenaminka, kvuma ke'sanana, Nagri navu'navate kento.
27 For a whore is a deep ditch; and a strange woman is a narrow pit.
Monko avu'ava'ma huno Savri'ma huno vanoma nehia a'mo'a, murigankna higeno, vema ante'nea a'mo'ma savrima huno vanoma nehia a'mo'a, osi tinkerigna huno urami'neankino, ana tinkerifima uramisaza vahe'mo'za haviza hugahaze.
28 She also lieth in wait as a robber, and increaseth the treacherous among men.
Ana a'mo'a kumza vahe'kna huno kazeri savri hunaku kaveganteno mani'neankino, vene'nea azeri savri hanigeno, mani fatgo huno a'are'ma omani'zamo'a ra hugahie.
29 Who hath woe? Who hath sorrow? Who contentions? Who complaining? Who wounds without cause? Who redness of eyes?
Iza hazenkefina mani'vava higeno, iza asu zampina nemanie? Iza ke hakarea nehigeno, iza hara azeri o'netie? Iza avufamo hazenkea erigeno namuna nere? Iza avumo korankera nehie?
30 — They that tarry long at the wine; they that go to try mixed wine.
E'i anazama fore'ma nehiana zazate'ma aka tima nenaza vahe'ene, hanave waini tima tagi havia hu'za ne'naza vahe'tmimofonte fore nehie.
31 Look not upon the wine when it is red, when it sparkleth in the cup, and goeth down smoothly:
Atregeno wainimo'ma korankrema nehuno, agrema'amo taferopinti krakra huno mrenerino, knankente'ma fruma huno urami'nia zamo'a, kazeri kasanea osino.
32 at the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder.
Hianagi henka'a osifavemo kreankna nehuno, ha' osifavemo kamprino avuatgazama'a regatati huganteankna hugahie.
33 Thine eyes shall behold strange women, and thy heart shall speak froward things;
Kavumo'a ruzahu ruzahu'za negenkeno, antahintahi kamo'a savri nehina, kema hanana kemo'a savri hugahie.
34 and thou shalt be as he that lieth down in the midst of the sea, and as he that lieth down upon the top of a mast:
Hagi e'inama nehanana, hageri amu'nompi me'nea ventefi mase'nankeno kranto kranto huno kazeri tore tore hiankna nehuno, ventemofo seli rente zafare mani'nankeno, zahomo kavregantugama hiankna hugahane.
35 — “They have smitten me, [and] I am not sore; they have beaten me, [and] I knew it not. When shall I awake? I will seek it yet again.”
