Proverbs 20
1 Wine is a scorner, strong drink is raging; and whoso erreth thereby is not wise.
১দ্ৰাক্ষাৰস নিন্দক, আৰু সুৰা দ্বন্দ্ব-কাজিয়া কৰা লোক; যি কোনোৱে সুৰা পান কৰি মতলীয়া হয়, তেওঁ জ্ঞানী নহয়।
2 The terror of a king is as the roaring of a lion: he that provoketh him to anger sinneth against his own soul.
২ৰজাৰ ক্রোধ যুবা সিংহৰ গৰ্জ্জনৰ দৰে; যিজনে তেওঁৰ খং তোলে, তেওঁ নিজৰ জীৱন হেৰুৱাই।
3 It is an honour for a man to cease from strife; but every fool rusheth into it.
৩বিবাদৰ পৰা দূৰত থকাই মানুহৰ সন্মান; কিন্তু প্ৰত্যেক অজ্ঞানী লোকে বিতৰ্কত সোমায়।
4 The sluggard will not plough by reason of the winter; he shall beg in harvest, and have nothing.
৪এলেহুৱা লোকে শৰৎ কালত হাল নাবায়; আৰু তেওঁ শস্য দোৱাৰ সময়ত অলপ শস্য বিচাৰে, কিন্তু একোকে নাপায়।
5 Counsel in the heart of man is deep water, and a man of understanding draweth it out.
৫মানুহৰ হৃদয়ৰ অভিপ্রায় গভীৰ জলৰ দৰে; কিন্তু সেই কল্পনা বিবেচক ব্যক্তিয়ে বাহিৰত প্রকাশ কৰে।
6 Most men will proclaim every one his own kindness; but a faithful man who shall find?
৬বহুতো লোকে নিজৰ সাধুতা ঘোষণা কৰে; কিন্তু বিশ্বাসী লোক কোনে বিচাৰি পায়?
7 The righteous walketh in his integrity: blessed are his children after him!
৭ন্যায় কাৰ্য কৰা লোকে নিজৰ ন্যায়পৰায়ণতাত চলে, আৰু তেওঁক অনুসৰণ কৰা তেওঁৰ সন্তান সকল সুখী হয়।
8 A king sitting on the throne of judgment scattereth away all evil with his eyes.
৮সিংহাসনত বহা ৰজাই বিচাৰকৰ দ্বায়ীত্ব পালন কৰে; তেওঁৰ আগত থকা সকলো দুষ্টতা তেওঁৰ দৃষ্টিৰে পৰীক্ষা কৰে।
9 Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin?
৯কোনে ক’ব পাৰে “মই মোৰ হৃদয় শুদ্ধ কৰি ৰাখিছোঁ, আৰু মোৰ পাপৰ পৰা মই মুক্ত হ’লো?
10 Divers weights, divers measures, even both of them are abomination to Jehovah.
১০পাৰ্থক্য থকা ওজন, আৰু অসমান জোখ, এই দুয়োটাকে যিহোৱাই ঘিণ কৰে।
11 Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right.
১১এনেকি যুৱক এজনে তেওঁৰ কাৰ্যৰ দ্বাৰাই পৰিচিত হয়, শুদ্ধ আৰু ন্যায়পৰায়ণ আচৰণৰ দ্বাৰাই তেওঁক বুজিব পৰা যায়।
12 The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, Jehovah hath made even both of them.
১২শ্ৰৱনকাৰী কাণ আৰু দৰ্শনকাৰী চকু, এই দুয়োকো যিহোৱাই সৃষ্টি কৰিলে।
13 Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, [and] thou shalt be satisfied with bread.
১৩নিদ্ৰাক ভাল নাপাবা অথবা, তুমি দৰিদ্ৰ হবা; তোমাৰ চকু মেলা, আৰু তোমাৰ প্রচুৰ পৰিমাণে খোৱা বস্তু থাকিব।
14 Bad! bad! saith the buyer; but when he is gone his way, then he boasteth.
১৪কিনা জনে কয়, “বেয়া! বেয়া! কিন্তু যেতিয়া তেওঁ আঁতৰি যায়, তেতিয়া তেওঁ অহংকাৰ কৰে।
15 There is gold, and a multitude of rubies; but the lips of knowledge are a precious Jewel.
১৫সোণ আৰু অজস্র মূল্যবান পাথৰ আছে; কিন্তু জ্ঞানযুক্ত ওঁঠ অমূল্য ৰত্ন।
16 Take his garment that is become surety [for] another, and hold him in pledge for strangers.
১৬যি জনে অচিনাকীৰ জামিন হয়, তেওঁৰ বস্ত্ৰ লোৱা; যেতিয়া তেওঁ কোনো ব্যভিচাৰিণীৰ বাবে জামিন হয়, তেতিয়া তেওঁৰ পৰা বন্ধক লোৱা।
17 Bread of falsehood is sweet to a man, but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel.
১৭প্ৰবঞ্চনাৰে পোৱা পিঠাৰ সোৱাদ মিঠা লাগে; কিন্তু পাছত তেওঁৰ মুখ শিলেৰে পূৰ্ণ হয়।
18 Plans are established by counsel; and with good advice make war.
১৮পৰামৰ্শৰ দ্বাৰাই আঁচনিবোৰ সিদ্ধ হয়; আৰু কেৱল জ্ঞানী লোকৰ নেতৃত্বত যুদ্ধ আৰম্ভ কৰা হয়।
19 He that goeth about talebearing revealeth secrets; therefore meddle not with him that openeth his lips.
১৯পৰচৰ্চ্চাকাৰীয়ে গুপুত কথা প্ৰকাশ কৰে; সেয়ে যি জনে বহু কথা কয়, তেওঁৰ সৈতে সহযোগ নকৰিবা।
20 Whoso curseth his father or his mother, his lamp shall be put out in the blackest darkness.
২০যি জনে নিজৰ পিতৃক নাইবা মাতৃক শাও দিয়ে, ঘোৰ অন্ধকাৰত তাৰ চাকি নুমাই যায়।
21 An inheritance obtained hastily at the beginning will not be blessed in the end.
২১উত্তৰাধিকাৰ আৰম্ভণীতে শীঘ্ৰে পোৱা যায়; কিন্তু শেষত সেয়ে ভাল নহব।
22 Say not, I will recompense evil: wait on Jehovah, and he shall save thee.
২২এইদৰে নকবা, “মই তোমাৰ ভুলৰ বাবে প্ৰতিকাৰ সাধিম!” যিহোৱালৈ অপেক্ষা কৰা, তেওঁ তোমাক উদ্ধাৰ কৰিব।
23 Divers weights are an abomination unto Jehovah; and a false balance is not good.
২৩যিহোৱাই অসমান ওজন ঘিণ কৰে, ফাঁকি তুলাচনী ভাল নহয়।
24 The steps of a man are from Jehovah; and how can a man understand his own way?
২৪মানুহৰ ভৰিৰ খোজ যিহোৱাৰ পৰিচালিত; তেনেহলে মানুহে কেনেকৈ নিজৰ পথ বুজিব?
25 It is a snare to a man rashly to say, It is hallowed, and after vows to make inquiry.
২৫কোনো লোকে হঠাতে “এই বস্তু পবিত্ৰ” বুলি কোৱা, মানুহ; আৰু সঙ্কল্প কৰাৰ পাছত তাৰ অৰ্থ কি সেই বিষয়ে চিন্তা কৰা মানুহৰ বাবে ফান্দৰ দৰে।
26 A wise king scattereth the wicked, and bringeth the wheel over them.
২৬জ্ঞানী ৰজাই দুষ্টসকলক পৃথক কৰে, আৰু তাৰ পাছত তেওঁ শষ্য মৰা গাড়ী তেওঁলোকৰ ওপৰেদি চলায়।
27 Man's spirit is the lamp of Jehovah, searching all the inner parts of the belly.
২৭মানুহৰ আত্মা যিহোৱাৰ প্ৰদীপস্বৰূপ; সেয়ে তেওঁ সকলোৰে অন্তৰৰ ভিতৰ অংশ বিচাৰে।
28 Mercy and truth preserve the king; and he upholdeth his throne by mercy.
২৮বিশ্বাসযোগ্য আৰু বিশ্বস্বতাৰ নিয়মে ৰজাক সংৰক্ষিত কৰে, আৰু তেওঁৰ সিংহাসন প্রেমৰ দ্বাৰাই নিৰাপদে থাকে।
29 The glory of young men is their strength; and the beauty of old men is the grey head.
২৯যুৱকৰ বলেই তেওঁৰ গৌৰৱ, আৰু পকা চুলিয়ে বৃদ্ধ লোকৰ অভিজ্ঞতা দৰ্শাই।
30 Wounding stripes purge away evil, and strokes [purge] the inner parts of the belly.
৩০ঘা লগোৱা প্ৰহাৰে দুষ্টতা পৰিষ্কাৰ কৰে, আৰু প্রহাৰে অন্তৰৰ গভীৰতম অংশ পৰিষ্কাৰ কৰে।
