Philippians 3
1 For the rest, my brethren, rejoice in [the] Lord: to write the same things to you, to me [is] not irksome, and for you safe.
So freut euch nun, Brüder, im Herrn! Daß ich euch immer das gleiche schreibe, verdrießt mich nicht und dient zu eurer Befestigung.
2 See to dogs, see to evil workmen, see to the concision.
Hütet euch vor den Hunden, hütet euch vor den schlimmen Arbeitern, hütet euch vor der Zerschneidung!
3 For we are the circumcision, who worship by [the] Spirit of God, and boast in Christ Jesus, and do not trust in flesh.
Denn wir sind die Beschneidung, die wir Gott im Geiste dienen, und deren Ruhm Jesus Christus ist und die wir nicht auf Fleisch vertrauen.
4 Though I have [my] trust even in flesh; if any other think to trust in flesh, I rather:
Wiewohl auch ich auf Fleisch vertrauen könnte, und noch dazu mehr:
5 as to circumcision, [I received it] the eighth day; of [the] race of Israel, of [the] tribe of Benjamin, Hebrew of Hebrews; as to [the] law, a Pharisee;
Bin am achten Tage beschnitten, vom Geschlechte Israel, aus Benjamins Stamm, ein Hebräer, von Hebräern gezeugt, in Hinsicht des Gesetzes ein Pharisäer.
6 as to zeal, persecuting the assembly; as to righteousness which [is] in [the] law, found blameless;
In Hinsicht des Eifers ein Verfolger der Gemeinde, in Hinsicht der Gerechtigkeit nach dem Gesetze tadellos.
7 but what things were gain to me these I counted, on account of Christ, loss.
Aber was mir Gewinn war, das habe ich wegen Christus für Schaden erachtet.
8 But surely I count also all things to be loss on account of the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, on account of whom I have suffered the loss of all, and count them to be filth, that I may gain Christ;
Ja ich erachte noch alles für Schaden wegen der alles übertreffenden Erkenntnis meines Herrn Jesus Christus, um Dessentwillen ich alles für Schaden und Unrat erachte, auf daß ich Christus gewinne,
9 and that I may be found in him, not having my righteousness, which [would be] on the principle of law, but that which is by faith of Christ, the righteousness which [is] of God through faith,
Und in Ihm erfunden werde und nicht meine Gerechtigkeit habe, die aus dem Gesetz, sondern die durch den Glauben an Christus kommt, die Gerechtigkeit, die von Gott um des Glaubens willen zuteil wird;
10 to know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being conformed to his death,
Um Ihn zu erkennen, und die Kraft Seiner Auferstehung und die Gemeinschaft Seiner Leiden, und daß ich Ihm ähnlich werde im Tode,
11 if any way I arrive at the resurrection from among [the] dead.
Ob ich möchte zur Auferstehung der Toten gelangen.
12 Not that I have already obtained [the prize], or am already perfected; but I pursue, if also I may get possession [of it], seeing that also I have been taken possession of by Christ [Jesus].
Nicht daß ich es schon ergriffen hätte, oder schon vollendet wäre, ich jage ihm aber nach, ob ich es möchte ergreifen, nachdem ich auch von Jesus Christus ergriffen worden bin.
13 Brethren, I do not count to have got possession myself; but one thing — forgetting the things behind, and stretching out to the things before,
Ich erachte, Brüder, von mir selbst noch nicht, daß ich es ergriffen habe. Eins aber sage ich: Ich vergesse, was dahinten ist, und strecke mich aus nach dem, was vorne ist;
14 I pursue, [looking] towards [the] goal, for the prize of the calling on high of God in Christ Jesus.
Und jage dem Ziele zu nach dem Siegespreis der himmlischen Berufung Gottes in Jesus Christus.
15 As many therefore as [are] perfect, let us be thus minded; and if ye are any otherwise minded, this also God shall reveal to you.
Wie viele nun von uns vollkommen sind, die sollen so gesinnt sein, und die noch anderes denken, denen wird Gott darüber auch noch die rechte Einsicht verleihen.
16 But whereto we have attained, [let us] walk in the same steps.
Doch laßt uns das, zu dem wir gelangt sind, zur Richtschnur unseres Sinnes und Wandels nehmen.
17 Be imitators [all] together of me, brethren, and fix your eyes on those walking thus as you have us for a model;
Folgt mit mir nach, Brüder, und seht auf die, die also wandeln, wie ihr uns zum Vorbild habt.
18 (for many walk of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they [are] the enemies of the cross of Christ:
Denn viele wandeln, wie ich euch oftmals sagte und nun mit Tränen wiederhole, als Feinde von Christi Kreuz.
19 whose end [is] destruction, whose god [is] the belly, and [their] glory in their shame, who mind earthly things: )
Deren Endziel ist Verdammnis, denen der Bauch ihr Gott ist, und die eine Ehre in der Schande suchen, und deren Sinn nur auf Irdisches gerichtet ist.
20 for our commonwealth has its existence in [the] heavens, from which also we await the Lord Jesus Christ [as] Saviour,
Denn unser Wandel ist im Himmel, von wannen wir auch unseren Heiland, den Herrn Jesus Christus erwarten,
21 who shall transform our body of humiliation into conformity to his body of glory, according to the working of [the] power which he has even to subdue all things to himself.
Der den Leib unserer Erniedrigung umgestalten wird, um ihn dem Leibe Seiner Herrlichkeit gleich zu gestalten, mittelst der Kraft, durch die Er alles Sich untertänig machen kann.
