Philippians 1
1 Paul and Timotheus, bondmen of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus who are in Philippi, with [the] overseers and ministers;
Pavel și Timotei, robi ai lui Isus Cristos, tuturor sfinților în Cristos Isus care sunt în Filipi, împreună cu episcopii și diaconii;
2 grace to you, and peace from God our Father and [the] Lord Jesus Christ.
Har vouă și pace de la Dumnezeu Tatăl nostru și de la Domnul Isus Cristos.
3 I thank my God for my whole remembrance of you,
Mulțumesc Dumnezeului meu la fiecare aducere aminte despre voi,
4 constantly in my every supplication, making the supplication for you all with joy,
Întotdeauna, în fiecare rugăciune a mea pentru voi toți, făcând cerere cu bucurie,
5 because of your fellowship with the gospel, from the first day until now;
Pentru părtășia voastră în evanghelie, din prima zi până acum;
6 having confidence of this very thing, that he who has begun in you a good work will complete it unto Jesus Christ's day:
Fiind încredințat de acest lucru, că cel ce a început o bună lucrare în voi, o va termina până în ziua lui Isus Cristos.
7 as it is righteous for me to think this as to you all, because ye have me in your hearts, and that both in my bonds and in the defence and confirmation of the glad tidings ye are all participators in my grace.
Așa cum este drept pentru mine să gândesc aceasta despre voi toți, pentru că vă port în inima mea; întrucât, deopotrivă în lanțurile mele și în apărarea și confirmarea evangheliei, voi toți sunteți părtași ai harului meu.
8 For God is my witness how I long after you all in [the] bowels of Christ Jesus.
Fiindcă Dumnezeu îmi este martor cât de mult tânjesc după voi toți în adâncurile milei lui Isus Cristos.
9 And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in full knowledge and all intelligence,
Și aceasta mă rog, ca dragostea voastră să abunde chiar din ce în ce mai mult în cunoaștere și în toată judecata,
10 that ye may judge of and approve the things that are more excellent, in order that ye may be pure and without offence for Christ's day,
Ca voi să deosebiți lucrurile alese, ca să fiți sinceri și fără poticnire până în ziua lui Cristos,
11 being complete as regards the fruit of righteousness, which [is] by Jesus Christ, to God's glory and praise.
Fiind umpluți cu roadele dreptății, care sunt prin Isus Cristos, pentru gloria și lauda lui Dumnezeu.
12 But I would have you know, brethren, that the circumstances in which I am have turned out rather to the furtherance of the glad tidings,
Dar voiesc să înțelegeți, fraților, că cele ce mi s-au întâmplat, mai degrabă au ajutat la înaintarea evangheliei;
13 so that my bonds have become manifest [as being] in Christ in all the praetorium and to all others;
Așa că lanțurile mele în Cristos sunt arătate în tot palatul și în toate celelalte locuri.
14 and that the most of the brethren, trusting in [the] Lord through my bonds, dare more abundantly to speak the word of God fearlessly.
Și mulți dintre frații în Domnul, încredințați din cauza lanțurilor mele, sunt mult mai cutezători să vorbească fără teamă cuvântul.
15 Some indeed also for envy and strife, but some also for good will, preach the Christ.
Unii, într-adevăr, predică pe Cristos chiar din invidie și ceartă; iar alții, de asemenea, din bunăvoință.
16 These indeed out of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the glad tidings;
Unii predică pe Cristos din ceartă, nu sincer, închipuindu-și că adaugă necaz lanțurilor mele;
17 but those out of contention, announce the Christ, not purely, supposing to arouse tribulation for my bonds.
Iar ceilalți, din dragoste, știind că sunt pus pentru apărarea evangheliei.
18 What is it then? at any rate, in every way, whether in pretext or in truth, Christ is announced; and in this I rejoice, yea, also I will rejoice;
Atunci ce este? Cu toate acestea, în orice fel, fie de ochii lumii, fie în adevăr, Cristos este predicat; și în aceasta mă bucur, da și mă voi bucura.
19 for I know that this shall turn out for me to salvation, through your supplication and [the] supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ;
Căci știu că aceasta se va întoarce pentru salvarea mea prin rugăciunea voastră și prin aportul Duhului lui Isus Cristos,
20 according to my earnest expectation and hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but in all boldness, as always, now also Christ shall be magnified in my body whether by life or by death.
Conform anticipării mele arzătoare și speranței mele, că nu voi fi în nimic rușinat, ci cu toată cutezanța, ca întotdeauna, așa și acum Cristos va fi preamărit în trupul meu, fie prin viață, fie prin moarte.
21 For for me to live [is] Christ, and to die gain;
Fiindcă pentru mine a trăi este Cristos, și a muri este câștig.
22 but if to live in flesh [is my lot], this is for me worth the while: and what I shall choose I cannot tell.
Dar dacă trăiesc în carne, aceasta este rodul muncii mele; totuși nu știu ce voi alege.
23 But I am pressed by both, having the desire for departure and being with Christ, [for] [it is] very much better,
Fiindcă sunt strâmtorat din două părți, având dorință să plec și să fiu cu Cristos, ceea ce este mult mai bine;
24 but remaining in the flesh [is] more necessary for your sakes;
Totuși, a rămâne în carne este mai necesar pentru voi.
25 and having confidence of this, I know that I shall remain and abide along with you all, for your progress and joy in faith;
Și, având această încredere, știu că voi trăi și voi continua cu voi toți, pentru înaintarea voastră și bucuria credinței,
26 that your boasting may abound in Christ Jesus through me by my presence again with you.
Ca bucuria voastră să fie mai abundentă în Isus Cristos pentru mine, prin venirea mea din nou la voi.
27 Only conduct yourselves worthily of the glad tidings of the Christ, in order that whether coming and seeing you, or absent, I may hear of what concerns you, that ye stand firm in one spirit, with one soul, labouring together in the same conflict with the faith of the glad tidings;
Numai purtați-vă cum se cuvine evangheliei lui Cristos, pentru ca, fie că vin și vă văd, fie că sunt absent, să aud despre ale voastre că stați neclintiți într-un singur duh, cu o singură minte, luptând împreună pentru credința evangheliei,
28 and not frightened in anything by the opposers, which is to them a demonstration of destruction, but of your salvation, and that from God;
Și nefiind înspăimântați în nimic de potrivnicii voștri, ceea ce le este o dovadă a pieirii, dar vouă a salvării, și aceasta de la Dumnezeu.
29 because to you has been given, as regards Christ, not only the believing on him but the suffering for him also,
Fiindcă vouă vă este dat, pe partea lui Cristos, nu numai a crede în el, dar și a suferi pentru el.
30 having the same conflict which ye have seen in me, and now hear of in me.
Având același conflict pe care l-ați văzut în mine și acum auziți că este în mine.
