Philemon 1
1 Paul, prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timotheus the brother, to Philemon the beloved and our fellow-workman,
খ্রীষ্ট যীশুর বন্দি, আমি পৌল এবং আমাদের ভাই তিমথি, আমাদের প্রিয় বন্ধু ও সহকর্মী ফিলীমন,
2 and to the sister Apphia and to Archippus our fellow-soldier, and to the assembly which [is] in thine house.
আমাদের বোন আপ্পিয়া ও আমাদের সহসৈনিক আর্খিপ্প এবং তোমার বাড়িতে সমবেত হওয়া মণ্ডলীর উদ্দেশে:
3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and [the] Lord Jesus Christ.
আমাদের পিতা ঈশ্বর এবং প্রভু যীশু খ্রীষ্ট থেকে অনুগ্রহ ও শান্তি তোমাদের উপর বর্ষিত হোক।
4 I thank my God, always making mention of thee at my prayers,
আমার প্রার্থনায় তোমাকে স্মরণ করার সময় আমি প্রতিনিয়ত আমার ঈশ্বরকে ধন্যবাদ দিই,
5 hearing of thy love and the faith which thou hast towards the Lord Jesus, and towards all the saints,
কারণ প্রভু যীশুতে তোমার বিশ্বাস এবং সমস্ত পবিত্রগণের প্রতি তোমার ভালোবাসার কথা আমি শুনেছি।
6 in such sort that thy participation in the faith should become operative in the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in us towards Christ [Jesus].
আমি প্রার্থনা করি, বিশ্বাসে আমাদের যে সহভাগিতা আছে তা অন্যের কাছে ব্যক্ত করতে তুমি যেন সক্রিয় হয়ে ওঠো, যেন খ্রীষ্টে আমাদের যেসব উৎকৃষ্ট বিষয় আছে তার পূর্ণ উপলব্ধি তোমার হয়।
7 For we have great thankfulness and encouragement through thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother.
তোমার ভালোবাসা আমাকে খুবই আনন্দ এবং প্রেরণা দিয়েছে, কারণ ভাই, তুমি পবিত্রগণের প্রাণ জুড়িয়েছ।
8 Wherefore having much boldness in Christ to enjoin thee what is fitting,
অতএব, খ্রীষ্টে সাহসী হয়ে যদিও তোমার কর্তব্য সম্বন্ধে আমি তোমাকে আদেশ দিতে পারতাম,
9 for love's sake I rather exhort, being such a one as Paul the aged, and now also prisoner of Jesus Christ.
তবুও, ভালোবাসাবশত আমি তোমার কাছে মিনতি করছি, আমি পৌল—সেই বৃদ্ধ এবং এখন খ্রীষ্ট যীশুর বন্দি—
10 I exhort thee for my child, whom I have begotten in [my] bonds, Onesimus,
আমার ছেলে ওনীষিমের জন্য আমি তোমাকে মিনতি করছি যাকে আমি বন্দিদশায় ছেলেরূপে পেয়েছি।
11 once unserviceable to thee, but now serviceable to thee and to me:
আগে তোমার কাছে সে ছিল অনুপযোগী, কিন্তু এখন তোমার ও আমার, উভয়ের কাছেই সে উপযোগী হয়ে উঠেছে।
12 whom I have sent back to thee: [but do thou receive] him, that is, my bowels:
আমি তাকেই—আমার চোখের মণিকে—তোমার কাছে ফেরত পাঠাচ্ছি। আমার সব ভালোবাসা তার সাথে যাচ্ছে।
13 whom I was desirous of keeping with myself, that for thee he might minister to me in the bonds of the glad tidings;
তাকে আমি আমার কাছেই রাখতে পারতাম, তাহলে সুসমাচারের জন্য আমার বন্দিদশায় সে আমাকে তোমার পরিবর্তে সাহায্য করতে পারত।
14 but I have wished to do nothing without thy mind, that thy good might not be as of necessity but of willingness:
কিন্তু তোমার সম্মতি ছাড়া আমি কিছুই করতে চাইনি, যেন তুমি যে মঙ্গলকর কাজ করো, তা স্বেচ্ছায় করো, বাধ্য হয়ে নয়।
15 for perhaps for this reason he has been separated [from thee] for a time, that thou mightest possess him fully for ever; (aiōnios g166)
হয়তো, সে অল্প সময়ের জন্য তোমার কাছ থেকে দূরে সরে গিয়েছিল, যেন তুমি তাকে চিরকালের জন্য ফিরে পাও— (aiōnios g166)
16 not any longer as a bondman, but above a bondman, a beloved brother, specially to me, and how much rather to thee, both in [the] flesh and in [the] Lord?
আর ক্রীতদাসরূপে নয়, কিন্তু তার চেয়েও শ্রেয়, প্রিয় এক ভাইরূপে। সে আমার বড়োই প্রিয়, কিন্তু ব্যক্তি হিসেবে এবং প্রভুতে ভাই হিসেবে, সে তোমার কাছে আরও বেশি প্রিয়।
17 If therefore thou holdest me to be a partner [with thee], receive him as me;
তাই, তুমি যদি আমাকে তোমার সহযোগী বলে মনে করো, তাহলে আমাকে যেমন স্বাগত জানাতে, তাকেও সেভাবেই গ্রহণ করো।
18 but if he have wronged thee anything or owe anything [to thee], put this to my account.
আর সে যদি তোমার প্রতি কোনো অন্যায় করে থাকে বা তোমার কাছে তার কোনো ঋণ থাকে, তা আমারই বলে গণ্য করো।
19 I Paul have written [it] with mine own hand; I will repay [it]: that I say not to thee that thou owest even thine own self also to me.
আমি পৌল, নিজের হাতে এই পত্র লিখছি, আমি তা সব শোধ করব। তুমি নিজেই যে আমার কাছে ঋণে বাঁধা আছ, সেকথা আর উল্লেখ করলাম না।
20 Yea, brother, I would have profit of thee in [the] Lord: refresh my bowels in Christ.
ভাই, আমরা দুজনই প্রভুতে আছি। প্রভুতে আমি তোমার কাছ থেকে এই উপকার যেন পেতে পারি; খ্রীষ্টে তুমি আমাকে এ বিষয়ে নিশ্চিন্ত করো।
21 Being confident of thine obedience, I have written to thee, knowing that thou wilt do even more than I say.
তোমার আনুগত্যের উপরে আস্থা রেখেই আমি তোমাকে লিখছি, কারণ আমি জানি যে, আমি যা চাই তুমি তার চেয়েও বেশি করবে।
22 But withal prepare me also a lodging; for I hope that I shall be granted to you through your prayers.
আরও একটি কথা: আমার থাকার জন্য একটি ঘরের ব্যবস্থা করো, কারণ তোমাদের সব প্রার্থনার উত্তরস্বরূপ, আমি তোমাদের কাছে ফিরে যাওয়ার আশা করি।
23 Epaphras salutes thee, my fellow-prisoner in Christ Jesus;
খ্রীষ্ট যীশুতে আমার সহবন্দি ইপাফ্রা তোমাকে শুভেচ্ছা জানাচ্ছেন।
24 Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, Luke, my fellow-workmen.
আর আমার সহকর্মী মার্ক, আরিষ্টার্খ, দীমা ও লূক, এরাও জানাচ্ছেন।
25 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with your spirit.
প্রভু যীশু খ্রীষ্টের অনুগ্রহ তোমাদের আত্মার সহবর্তী হোক। আমেন।
