Micah 4
1 But it shall come to pass in the end of days [that] the mountain of Jehovah's house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be lifted up above the hills; and the peoples shall flow unto it.
Mais dans les derniers jours, il arrivera que la montagne du temple de Yahvé soit établie sur le sommet des montagnes, et il sera élevé au-dessus des collines; et les gens y afflueront.
2 And many nations shall go and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of Jehovah, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths. For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and Jehovah's word from Jerusalem.
Beaucoup de nations iront et diront, « Venez! Montons sur la montagne de Yahvé, et à la maison du Dieu de Jacob; et il nous enseignera ses voies, et nous marcherons dans ses sentiers. » Car la loi sortira de Sion, et la parole de Yahvé depuis Jérusalem;
3 And he shall judge among many peoples, and reprove strong nations, even afar off; and they shall forge their swords into ploughshares, and their spears into pruning-knives: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
et il jugera entre de nombreux peuples, et décidera au loin des nations fortes. Ils transformeront leurs épées en socs de charrue, et leurs lances en crochets d'émondage. Une nation ne lèvera pas l'épée contre une autre nation, ils n'apprendront plus la guerre non plus.
4 And they shall sit every one under his vine, and under his fig-tree; and there shall be none to make [them] afraid: for the mouth of Jehovah of hosts hath spoken [it].
Mais chacun s'assiéra sous sa vigne et sous son figuier. Personne ne leur fera peur, car la bouche de l'Éternel des armées a parlé.
5 For all the peoples will walk every one in the name of his god; but we will walk in the name of Jehovah, our God for ever and ever.
En effet, toutes les nations peuvent marcher au nom de leurs dieux, mais nous marcherons au nom de Yahvé notre Dieu pour toujours et à jamais.
6 In that day, saith Jehovah, will I assemble her that halteth, and I will gather her that is driven out, and her that I have afflicted;
« En ce jour-là, » dit Yahvé, « Je vais assembler ce qui est boiteux, et je rassemblerai ce qui a été chassé, et ce que j'ai affligé;
7 and I will make her that halted a remnant, and her that was cast far off a strong nation; and Jehovah shall reign over them in mount Zion, from henceforth even for ever.
et je ferai de ce qui était boiteux un reste, et celle qui a été rejetée au loin, une nation forte: et Yahvé régnera sur eux sur le mont Sion dès lors, et pour toujours. »
8 And thou, O tower of the flock, hill of the daughter of Zion, unto thee shall it come, yea, the first dominion shall come, — the kingdom to the daughter of Jerusalem.
Toi, tour du troupeau, colline de la fille de Sion, à vous, il viendra. Oui, l'ancienne domination viendra, le royaume de la fille de Jérusalem.
9 Now why dost thou cry out aloud? Is there no king in thee? is thy counsellor perished, that pangs have seized thee as a woman in travail?
Maintenant, pourquoi criez-vous à haute voix? N'y a-t-il pas de roi en vous? Votre conseiller a-t-il péri, que des douleurs s'emparent de vous comme d'une femme en travail?
10 Be in pain, and labour to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in travail; for now shalt thou go forth out of the city, and thou shalt dwell in the field, and thou shalt go even to Babylon: there shalt thou be delivered; there Jehovah will redeem thee from the hand of thine enemies.
Sois dans la douleur, et travaille pour accoucher, fille de Sion, comme une femme en travail; car maintenant vous allez sortir de la ville, et il habitera dans les champs, et viendra jusqu'à Babylone. Là, vous serez secouru. Là, Yahvé te rachètera de la main de tes ennemis.
11 And now many nations are assembled against thee, that say, Let her be profaned, and let our eye look upon Zion.
Maintenant, beaucoup de nations se sont rassemblées contre toi, et disent, « Qu'elle soit souillée, et que notre œil se réjouisse de Sion. »
12 But they know not the thoughts of Jehovah, neither understand they his counsel; for he hath gathered them together as the sheaves into the threshing-floor.
Mais ils ne connaissent pas les pensées de Yahvé, ils ne comprennent pas non plus son conseil; car il les a rassemblés comme les gerbes à l'aire de battage.
13 Arise and thresh, daughter of Zion, for I will make thy horn iron, and I will make thy hoofs brass; and thou shalt beat in pieces many peoples; and I will devote their gain to Jehovah, and their substance to the Lord of the whole earth.
Lève-toi et frappe, fille de Sion, car je ferai de ta corne du fer, et je rendrai tes sabots d'airain. Vous allez mettre en pièces de nombreux peuples. Je consacrerai leur gain à Yahvé, et leurs biens au Seigneur de toute la terre.
