< Matthew 15 >
1 Then the scribes and Pharisees from Jerusalem come up to Jesus, saying,
Shakapanu Mafalisayu wamu na wafunda wa Malagaliru wamwiziriti Yesu kulawa Yerusalemu na wamkosiya,
2 Why do thy disciples transgress what has been delivered by the ancients? for they do not wash their hands when they eat bread.
“Iwera hashi, wafundwa waku wagajimira ndiri mafundu gawafunditi wazewi wetu? Wagulula ndiri weri mawoku gawu pakwanja kuliya!”
3 But he answering said to them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God on account of your traditional teaching?
Yesu kawankula, “Iwera hashi mwenga mjimira ndiri malagaliru ga Mlungu na kufata mafundu genu?
4 For God commanded saying, Honour father and mother; and, He that speaks ill of father or mother, let him die the death.
Mlungu kalonga, ‘Guwapanani ligoya tati gwaku na mawu gwaku,’ na ‘Yoseri yakamwigiranga tati gwakuwi ama mawu gwakuwi, kafiruwa kalagwi.’
5 But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or mother, It is a gift, whatsoever [it be] by which [received] from me thou wouldest be profited:
Kumbiti mwenga mfunda handa muntu kana shintu sha kumupa tati gwakuwi ama mawu gwakuwi kumbiti kalonga, ‘Shintu ashi numulavilira Mlungu,’
6 and he shall in no wise honour his father or his mother; and ye have made void the commandment of God on account of your traditional teaching.
su kafiruwa ndiri kumpanana ligoya tati gwakuwi ama mawu gwakuwi. Kwa ntambu ayi mwenga mushibeziya shisoweru sha Mlungu kwa kugajimira mafundu genu.
7 Hypocrites! well has Esaias prophesied about you, saying,
Mwawafyangu mwenga! Vyakatungiti Isaya mbuyi gwa Mlungu viwera nakaka kwa mwenga!
8 This people honour me with the lips, but their heart is far away from me;
‘Mlungu kalonga, wantu awa wanupa ligoya neni kwa visoweru vyawu hera, Kumbiti myoyu yawu nakaka iwera patali na neni.
9 but in vain do they worship me, teaching [as] teachings commandments of men.
Kunguwira kwawu kufaa ndiri, Toziya wafunda malagaliru ga wantu gambira ndo malagaliru ga neni!’”
10 And having called to [him] the crowd, he said to them, Hear and understand:
Shakapanu Yesu kalishemiti lipinga lya wantu na kawagambira, “Mpikaniri na mwerewi!
11 Not what enters into the mouth defiles the man; but what goes forth out of the mouth, this defiles the man.
Shintu shashimwingira muntu munshimba hapeni shimtendi muntu kaweri muhumba, kumbiti shilii shashimlawiti ndo shimtenda muntu kaweri muhumba.”
12 Then his disciples, coming up, said to him, Dost thou know that the Pharisees, having heard this word, have been offended?
Shakapanu wafundwa wakuwi wamgendera na wamgambira, “Hashi, guvimana kuwera Mafalisayu wakukalalira pawapikiniriti visoweru vyagutakula?”
13 But he answering said, Every plant which my heavenly Father has not planted shall be rooted up.
Yesu kawankula, “Kila mtera gweni Tati gwangu kakumpindi kaguyaliti ndiri, hawagutupuli.
14 Leave them alone; they are blind leaders of blind: but if blind lead blind, both will fall into a ditch.
Namtira kuusu womberi! Womberi ndo walongoziya wanalwisi na kana lwisi yumu pakamlonguziya kana lwisi muyaguwi, woseri hawapokeri mulirindi.”
15 And Peter answering said to him, Expound to us this parable.
Peteru katakula, “Gutakuliri gagutakula kwa twenga.”
16 But he said, Are ye also still without intelligence?
Yesu kawagambira, “Hashi, ata mwenga mwerewa ndiri kuliku wamonga?
17 Do ye not yet apprehend, that everything that enters into the mouth finds its way into the belly, and is cast forth into the draught?
Shintu shoseri shashiyingira mumlomu mwa muntu, shigenda mumtima mwakuwi shakapanu shimlawa na shigenda mshowu.
18 but the things which go forth out of the mouth come out of the heart, and those defile man.
Kumbiti vitwatira vyavimlawa muntu mumlomu vilawa mumoyu na vitwatira avi ndo vyavimtenda muntu kaweri muhumba.
19 For out of the heart come forth evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witnessings, blasphemies;
Toziya mumoyu mlawa maholu gadoda ga ulagaji na uhumba na shimbegu na upitawu wa mpayu na mayigilangu.
20 these are the things which defile man; but the eating with unwashen hands does not defile man.
Vitwatila avi ndo vyavimtenda muntu kaweri muhumba. Kumbiti kuliya shiboga pota na kunaviya mawoku ntambu yamlonga, hapeni kumtendi muntu kaweri muhumba.”
21 And Jesus, going forth from thence, went away into the parts of Tyre and Sidon;
Yesu kawukiti pahala paliya na kagenditi pakwegera na lushi lwa Tiru na Sidoni.
22 and lo, a Canaanitish woman, coming out from those borders, cried [to him] saying, Have pity on me, Lord, Son of David; my daughter is miserably possessed by a demon.
Mdala yumu yakalikariti mlushi lwa Kanaani kamwiziriti Yesu pakabotanga, “Mtuwa, Mwana gwa Dawudi, gumoneri lusungu! Muhinga gwangu kana shamshera yakamgaziya nentu.”
23 But he did not answer her a word. And his disciples came to [him] and asked him, saying, Dismiss her, for she cries after us.
Kumbiti Yesu kalonga ndiri shisoweru kwa yomberi. Wafundwa wakuwi wamgendera na wamgambira Yesu, “Gumgambiri mdala ayu kagendi zakuwi! Toziya kankutufatafata na kutenda umatu!”
24 But he answering said, I have not been sent save to the lost sheep of Israel's house.
Shakapanu Yesu kawankula, “Wantuma hera kwa wantu wa Israeli yawagamiliti gambira kondolu.”
25 But she came and did him homage, saying, Lord, help me.
Paliya mdala ulii kiza na kamsuntamalira palongolu pa magulu gakuwi pakalonga, “Mtuwa guntangi!”
26 But he answering said, It is not well to take the bread of the children and cast it to the dogs.
Yesu kamwankula, “Ifaa ndiri kutola shiboga sha wana na kuwawasila wang'ang'a.”
27 But she said, Yea, Lord; for even the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from the table of their masters.
Yomberi kamwankula, “Ayi ndo nakaka, Mtuwa kumbiti ata wang'ang'a waliyaga vyavisigaliti na kutulukira pasi kwa meza ya Mtuwa gwawu.”
28 Then Jesus answering said to her, O woman, thy faith [is] great. Be it to thee as thou desirest. And her daughter was healed from that hour.
Su Yesu kamwankula, “Gwenga mdala gwana njimiru nkulu! Shilii shagufira hashitendeki kwaku.” Na pala palii muhinga gwakuwi kawera mkomu.
29 And Jesus, going away from thence, came towards the sea of Galilee, and he went up into the mountain and sat down there;
Yesu kawukiti palii na kagenda pampeku pa litanda lya Galilaya. Kakwena kulugongu na kalivaga pasi.
30 and great crowds came to him, having with them lame, blind, dumb, crippled, and many others, and they cast them at his feet, and he healed them:
Lipinga likulu lya wantu limwizira pawamjegera wavibyeketu na wanalwisi na bubu na wantu wamonga wavuwa yawaweriti walweli, su wawatula palongolu pa magulu ga Yesu na yomberi kawaponiziya.
31 so that the crowds wondered, seeing dumb speaking, crippled sound, lame walking, and blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel.
Lipinga lya wantu lilikangashiti nentu pawawoniti bubu katakula na wavibyeketu wagendagenda na yawalewelekiti wawera wakomu na wanalwisi wawona na wamkwisiti Mlungu gwa Israeli.
32 But Jesus, having called his disciples to [him], said, I have compassion on the crowd, because they have stayed with me already three days and they have not anything they can eat, and I would not send them away fasting lest they should faint on the way.
Yesu kawashema wafundwa wakuwi na kalonga, “Nuwawonera lusungu wantu awa, toziya wawera na neni mashaka matatu na vinu wahera shintu shakuliya. Nfira ndiri kuwaleka wagendi zawu pota na kuliya shiboga, nawalembuka munjira.”
33 And his disciples say to him, Whence should we have so many loaves in [the] wilderness as to satisfy so great a crowd?
Wafundwa wakuwi wamkosiya, “Hashi, hatupati koshi shiboga shitosha sha kulikutuziya lipinga lya wantu awa kushiwala agawu?”
34 And Jesus says to them, How many loaves have ye? But they said, Seven, and a few small fishes.
Yesu kawakosiya, “Hashi, mwanaga mabumunda maninga?” Womberi wamwankula, “Mabumunda saba na wasomba wadidini wadikawadika.”
35 And he commanded the crowds to lie down on the ground;
Yesu kalagalira lipinga lya wantu lilivagi pasi muvipinga vipinga.
36 and having taken the seven loaves and the fishes, having given thanks, he broke [them] and gave [them] to his disciples, and the disciples to the crowd.
Shakapanu katola mabumunda saba galii na wasomba walii, kalonga mayagashii Mlungu, kamega mabumunda na kawapanani wafundwa wakuwi na wafundwa wakuwi wawapanani wantu.
37 And all ate and were filled; and they took up what was over and above of the fragments seven baskets full;
Wantu woseri waliyiti na kwikuta. Shakapanu wafundwa wajojinira vyavisigaliti wamemeziya majamanda saba.
38 but they that ate were four thousand men, besides women and children.
Wantu woseri yawaliyiti, wapalu gweka yawu waweriti elufu msheshi pota kuwawalanga wadala na wana.
39 And, having dismissed the crowds, he went on board ship and came to the borders of Magadan.
Shakapanu Yesu kawaaga wantu, kakwena mumtumbwi na kagenda pahala kwingi wakushema Magadani.
