Mark 11
1 And when they draw near to Jerusalem, to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sends two of his disciples,
Als sie in die Nähe von Jerusalem kamen, nach Bethphage und Bethanien, an den Ölberg, da entsandte er zwei seiner Jünger
2 and says to them, Go into the village which is over against you, and immediately on entering into it ye will find a colt tied, upon which no [child] of man has ever sat: loose it and lead it [here].
mit dem Auftrag: "Geht hin in das Dorf, das vor euch liegt! Gleich am Eingang werdet ihr ein Eselsfüllen angebunden finden, auf dem noch nie ein Mensch gesessen hat. Das bindet los und bringt es her!
3 And if any one say to you, Why do ye this? say, The Lord has need of it; and straightway he sends it hither.
Und fragt euch jemand: 'Was macht ihr da?', so sprecht: 'Der Herr bedarf sein, und er schickt es gleich wieder her.'"
4 And they departed, and found a colt bound to the door without at the crossway, and they loose him.
Da gingen sie hin, und auf der Dorfstraße fanden sie draußen an der Haustür ein Füllen angebunden; das banden sie los.
5 And some of those who stood there said to them, What are ye doing, loosing the colt?
Doch einige von den Leuten, die da standen, fragten sie: "Was macht ihr da? Ihr bindet das Füllen los?"
6 And they said to them as Jesus had commanded. And they let them [do it].
Sie antworteten ihnen, wie Jesus geboten hatte. Da ließ man sie gewähren.
7 And they led the colt to Jesus, and cast their clothes upon it, and he sat on it;
Sie brachten nun das Füllen zu Jesus, legten ihre Mäntel auf des Tieres Rücken, und er setzte sich darauf.
8 and many strewed their clothes on the way, and others cut down branches from the trees [and went on strewing them on the way].
Viele Leute aber breiteten ihre Mäntel auf den Weg, andere hieben auf den Feldern grüne Zweige ab und streuten sie aus.
9 And those going on before and those following cried out, Hosanna! blessed [be] he that comes in [the] Lord's name.
Und alle, die mitgingen — vorn im Zug und hinterdrein —, die riefen laut: "Heil! Gesegnet sei, der da kommt in dem Namen des Herrn!
10 Blessed [be] the coming kingdom of our father David. Hosanna in the highest!
Gesegnet sei das Königreich, das nun beginnt, das Königreich unseres Vaters David! Heil droben in der Höhe!"
11 And he entered into Jerusalem and into the temple; and having looked round on all things, the hour being already late, he went out to Bethany with the twelve.
So zog er in Jerusalem ein. Und er ging in den Tempel. Dort schaute er sich alles an. Erst in später Stunde ging er mit den Zwölfen hinaus nach Bethanien.
12 And on the morrow, when they were gone out of Bethany, he hungered.
Als sie am anderen Morgen Bethanien verließen, empfand er Hunger.
13 And seeing from afar off a fig-tree which had leaves, he came, if perhaps he might find something on it. And having come up to it he found nothing but leaves, for it was not the time of figs.
Da sah er von weitem einen Feigenbaum, der Blätter hatte. Auf den ging er zu, um zu sehen, ob er Früchte darauf fände. Doch als er hinkam, fand er nichts als Blätter; denn die Jahreszeit für die (reifen Sommer-) Feigen war noch nicht da.
14 And answering he said to it, Let no one eat fruit of thee any more for ever. And his disciples heard [it]. (aiōn g165)
Da sprach er zu dem Baum: "In Zukunft soll man nie wieder Frucht von dir essen!" Und seine Jünger hörten diese Worte. (aiōn g165)
15 And they come to Jerusalem, and entering into the temple, he began to cast out those who sold and who bought in the temple, and he overthrew the tables of the moneychangers and the seats of the dove-sellers,
Dann kamen sie nach Jerusalem. Er ging in den Tempel und begann all, die dort verkauften und kauften, hinauszutreiben; die Tische der Wechsler und die Bänke der Taubenhändler stieß er um
16 and suffered not that any one should carry any package through the temple.
und wollte nicht dulden, daß man ein Hausgerät über den Tempelplatz trüge.
17 And he taught saying to them, Is it not written, My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations? but ye have made it a den of robbers.
Er wies sie darauf hin: "Steht nicht geschrieben: Mein Haus soll ein Bethaus heißen für alle Völker? Ihr aber habt eine Räuberhöhle daraus gemacht."
18 And the chief priests and the scribes heard [it], and they sought how they might destroy him; for they feared him, because all the crowd were astonished at his doctrine.
Das hörten die Schriftgelehrten und die Hohenpriester, und sie überlegten, wie sie ihn aus dem Weg räumen könnten. Denn sie hatten Furcht vor ihm, weil seine Lehre auf das ganze Volk einen tiefen Eindruck machte.
19 And when it was evening he went forth without the city.
Wenn der Abend kam, pflegte er die Stadt zu verlassen.
20 And passing by early in the morning they saw the fig-tree dried up from the roots.
Als sie früh am anderen Morgen an dem Feigenbaum vorüberkamen, sahen sie, wie er bis zur Wurzel verdorrt war.
21 And Peter, remembering [what Jesus had said], says to him, Rabbi, see, the fig-tree which thou cursedst is dried up.
Da erinnerte sich Petrus an Jesu Wort und sprach zu ihm: "Meister, sieh, der Feigenbaum, den du verflucht hast, ist verdorrt."
22 And Jesus answering says to them, Have faith in God.
Darauf erwiderte ihnen Jesus: "Habt Glauben, von Gott gewirkt!
23 Verily I say to you, that whosoever shall say to this mountain, Be thou taken away and cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but believe that what he says takes place, whatever he shall say shall come to pass for him.
Denn wahrlich, ich sage euch: Wer zum dem Berg dort sagte: 'Heb dich von deiner Stelle und stürze dich ins Meer!' und er zweifelte dabei nicht in seinem Herzen, sondern glaubte wirklich, daß es so geschähe nach seinem Wort, dem würde auch sein Wunsch erfüllt.
24 For this reason I say to you, All things whatsoever ye pray for and ask, believe that ye receive it, and it shall come to pass for you.
Darum sage ich euch: Alles, was ihr erfleht im Gebet, das soll euch auch werden, wenn ihr nur glaubt, ihr hättet es schon.
25 And when ye stand praying, forgive if ye have anything against any one, that your Father also who is in the heavens may forgive you your offences.
Und schickt ihr euch an zum Gebet, so vergebet allen, gegen die ihr etwas habt, damit euer Vater im Himmel auch euch eure Fehler vergebe."
26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in the heavens forgive your offences.
27 And they come again to Jerusalem. And as he walked about in the temple, the chief priests and the scribes and the elders come to him,
Sie kamen dann wieder nach Jerusalem. Als er dort im Tempel umherging, traten die Hohenpriester, die Schriftgelehrten und die Ältesten zu ihm
28 and they say to him, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority, that thou shouldest do these things?
mit der Frage: "Mit welchem Recht tust du dies, oder wer hat dir das Recht zu solchem Tun gegeben?"
29 And Jesus answering said to them, I also will ask you one thing, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things:
Jesus erwiderte ihnen: "Ich will euch auch eine Frage vorlegen. Darauf gebt mir Antwort! Dann will ich euch sagen, mit welchem Recht ich dies tue.
30 The baptism of John, was it of heaven, or of men? answer me.
Stammte die Taufe des Johannes vom Himmel oder von Menschen? Antwortet mir!"
31 And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we should say, Of heaven, he will say, Why [then] have ye not believed him?
Da überlegten sie miteinander: "Sagen wir: 'vom Himmel', so wird er fragen: 'Warum habt ihr ihm denn nicht geglaubt?'
32 but should we say, Of men — they feared the people; for all held of John that he was truly a prophet.
Oder sollen wir antworten: 'von Menschen'?" Das wagten sie nicht aus Furcht vor dem Volk; denn alle glaubten, Johannes sei wirklich ein Prophet gewesen.
33 And they answering say to Jesus, We do not know. And Jesus [answering] says to them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.
Da erwiderten sie Jesus: "Wir wissen's nicht." Darauf sprach Jesus zu ihnen: "So sage ich euch auch nicht, mit welchem Recht ich dies tue."
