Luke 24
1 But on the morrow of the sabbath, very early indeed in the morning, they came to the tomb, bringing the aromatic spices which they had prepared.
౧ఆదివారం తెల్లవారిన తరువాత ఆ స్త్రీలు తాము సిద్ధం చేసిన సుగంధ ద్రవ్యాలను తీసుకుని సమాధి దగ్గరికి వచ్చారు.
2 And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.
౨సమాధిని మూసిన రాయి దొర్లించి ఉండడం చూసి లోపలికి వెళ్ళారు.
3 And when they had entered they found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
౩కానీ ప్రభు యేసు దేహం వారికి కనబడలేదు. దాంతో వారికేమీ తోచలేదు.
4 And it came to pass as they were in perplexity about it, that behold, two men suddenly stood by them in shining raiment.
౪అయితే ధగధగలాడే బట్టలు ధరించిన ఇద్దరు వ్యక్తులు వారి దగ్గర నిలబడి ఉన్నారు.
5 And as they were filled with fear and bowed their faces to the ground, they said to them, Why seek ye the living one among the dead?
౫వారిని చూసి ఈ స్త్రీలు భయపడి ముఖాలు నేలకు వంచుకుని ఉండగా వారు, “సజీవుడైన వ్యక్తిని మీరు చనిపోయిన వారిలో ఎందుకు వెదుకుతున్నారు?
6 He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spoke to you, being yet in Galilee,
౬ఆయన ఇక్కడ లేడు, ఆయన లేచాడు. ఆయన ఇంతకు ముందు గలిలయలో ఉన్నప్పుడు
7 saying, The Son of man must be delivered up into the hands of sinners, and be crucified, and rise the third day.
౭మనుష్య కుమారుణ్ణి పాపుల చేతికి పట్టిస్తారనీ, వారు ఆయనను సిలువ వేసి చంపుతారనీ, తిరిగి ఆయన మూడవ రోజున సజీవుడిగా లేస్తాడనీ మీతో చెప్పింది జ్ఞాపకం చేసుకోండి” అన్నారు.
8 And they remembered his words;
౮అప్పుడు వారు ఆయన మాటలు జ్ఞాపకం చేసుకున్నారు.
9 and, returning from the sepulchre, related all these things to the eleven and to all the rest.
౯వారు సమాధి దగ్గర నుండి తిరిగి వెళ్ళి ఈ సంగతులను పదకొండుమంది శిష్యులకూ మిగిలిన వారికందరికీ చెప్పారు.
10 Now it was Mary of Magdala, and Johanna, and Mary the [mother] of James, and the others with them, who told these things to the apostles.
౧౦ఇలా ఈ సంగతులను అపొస్తలులకు చెప్పిన స్త్రీలు ఎవరంటే మగ్దలేనే మరియ, యోహన్న, యాకోబు తల్లి మరియ, వారితో ఉన్న యితర స్త్రీలూ.
11 And their words appeared in their eyes as an idle tale, and they disbelieved them.
౧౧అయితే విన్నవారికి ఈ మాటలు పిచ్చి మాటలుగా అనిపించాయి. కాబట్టి వారెవరూ వీరి మాటలు నమ్మలేదు.
12 But Peter, rising up, ran to the sepulchre, and stooping down he sees the linen clothes lying there alone, and went away home, wondering at what had happened.
౧౨అయితే పేతురు లేచి, సమాధి దగ్గరికి పరుగెత్తుకుంటూ వెళ్ళాడు. అక్కడ సమాధిలోకి తొంగి చూశాడు. అక్కడ నారబట్టలు మాత్రం కనిపించాయి. అతడు జరిగిన దాన్ని గురించి ఆశ్చర్యపడుతూ ఇంటికి వెళ్ళిపోయాడు.
13 And behold, two of them were going on the same day to a village distant sixty stadia from Jerusalem, called Emmaus;
౧౩ఆ రోజే ఇద్దరు శిష్యులు యెరూషలేముకు సుమారు పదకొండు కిలోమీటర్ల దూరంలో ఉన్న ఎమ్మాయిస్ గ్రామానికి వెళ్తున్నారు.
14 and they conversed with one another about all these things which had taken place.
౧౪జరిగిన ఈ విషయాలన్నిటి గురించి మాట్లాడుకుంటున్నారు.
15 And it came to pass as they conversed and reasoned, that Jesus himself drawing nigh, went with them;
౧౫అలా వారు మాట్లాడుకుంటూ, చర్చించుకుంటూ ఉండగా యేసు వారి దగ్గరికి వచ్చి వారితో కూడా నడుస్తూ ఉన్నాడు.
16 but their eyes were holden so as not to know him.
౧౬అయితే వారు ఆయనను గుర్తు పట్టలేకపోయారు. ఎందుకంటే వారి కళ్ళు మూతలు పడ్డట్టు అయింది.
17 And he said to them, What discourses are these which pass between you as ye walk, and are downcast?
౧౭ఆయన, “మీరు నడుస్తూ పరస్పరం చర్చించుకుంటున్న విషయాలు ఏమిటి?” అని వారిని అడిగాడు. దాంతో వారు దుఃఖంతో నిండిపోయి నిలబడిపోయారు.
18 And one [of them], named Cleopas, answering said to him, Thou sojournest alone in Jerusalem, and dost not know what has taken place in it in these days?
౧౮వారిలో క్లెయొపా అనేవాడు, “యెరూషలేములో కాపురముంటూ ఈ రోజుల్లో అక్కడ జరుగుతున్న విషయాలు తెలియని వ్యక్తివి నువ్వు ఒక్కడివే అనుకుంటా” అన్నాడు.
19 And he said to them, What things? And they said to him, The things concerning Jesus the Nazaraean, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people;
౧౯ఆయన, “ఏ విషయాలు?” అని అడిగాడు. అప్పుడు వారు, “నజరేతు వాడైన యేసును గురించిన విషయాలే. ఆయన దేవుని దృష్టిలోనూ ప్రజలందరి దృష్టిలోనూ మాటల్లో పనుల్లో శక్తిగల ప్రవక్తగా ఉన్నాడు.
20 and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him up to [the] judgment of death and crucified him.
౨౦మన ముఖ్య యాజకులూ అధికారులూ ఆయనను మరణశిక్షకు అప్పగించి, ఎలా సిలువ వేయించారో నీకు తెలియదా?
21 But we had hoped that he was [the one] who is about to redeem Israel. But then, besides all these things, it is now, to-day, the third day since these things took place.
౨౧ఇశ్రాయేలు ప్రజను విడుదల చేసేవాడు ఈయనే అని మేము ఆశించాం. ఈ విషయాలన్నీ మూడు రోజుల క్రితం జరిగాయి.
22 And withal, certain women from amongst us astonished us, having been very early at the sepulchre,
౨౨అయితే మాలో కొందరు స్త్రీలు తెల్లవారగానే సమాధి దగ్గరికి వెళ్ళి అక్కడ ఆయన దేహం కనిపించక తిరిగి వచ్చారు.
23 and, not having found his body, came, saying that they also had seen a vision of angels, who say that he is living.
౨౩కొందరు దేవదూతలు తమకు కనబడి, ‘ఆయన బతికే ఉన్నాడు’ అని చెప్పారు అని మాకు తెలిపినప్పుడు మాకు చాలా ఆశ్చర్యం వేసింది.
24 And some of those with us went to the sepulchre, and found it so, as the women also had said, but him they saw not.
౨౪మా వాళ్ళు కొంతమంది సమాధి దగ్గరికి వెళ్ళి ఆ స్త్రీలు చెప్పినట్టే ఖాళీ సమాధిని చూశారు గానీ ఆయనను చూడలేదు” అని ఆయనకు చెప్పారు.
25 And he said to them, O senseless and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!
౨౫అందుకాయన, “అవివేకులారా, ప్రవక్తలు చెప్పిన మాటలనన్నిటినీ నమ్మని మందమతులారా,
26 Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into his glory?
౨౬క్రీస్తు ఈ విధంగా హింసలు అనుభవించి తన మహిమలో ప్రవేశించడం తప్పనిసరి కాదా?” అని వారితో అన్నాడు.
27 And having begun from Moses and from all the prophets, he interpreted to them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
౨౭ఇంకా మోషే నుండి ప్రవక్తలందరి వరకూ లేఖనాలన్నిటిలో తనను గురించి రాసిన మాటల అర్థాన్ని వారికి తెలియజేశాడు.
28 And they drew near to the village where they were going, and he made as though he would go farther.
౨౮ఇంతలో వారి గ్రామం వచ్చింది. ఆయన ఇంకా ముందుకు ప్రయాణం చేస్తున్నట్టు కనిపించింది.
29 And they constrained him, saying, Stay with us, for it is toward evening and the day is declining. And he entered in to stay with them.
౨౯దాంతో వారు, “పొద్దు వాలుతున్నది. చీకటి పడుతుంది. ఈ రాత్రికి ఇక్కడే ఉండు” అంటూ ఆయనను బలవంతం చేశారు. కాబట్టి ఆయన వారితో కూడా ఇంట్లోకి వెళ్ళాడు.
30 And it came to pass as he was at table with them, having taken the bread, he blessed, and having broken it, gave it to them.
౩౦ఆయన వారితో భోజనానికి కూర్చున్నప్పుడు, ఒక రొట్టెను పట్టుకుని దానికోసం కృతజ్ఞతలు చెప్పి, విరిచి తినడానికి వారికిచ్చాడు.
31 And their eyes were opened, and they recognised him. And he disappeared from them.
౩౧అప్పుడు వారి కళ్ళు తెరుచుకున్నాయి. వారు ఆయనను గుర్తు పట్టారు. అయితే ఆయన వారికి కనబడకుండా మాయమయ్యాడు.
32 And they said to one another, Was not our heart burning in us as he spoke to us on the way, [and] as he opened the scriptures to us?
౩౨అప్పుడు వారు, “దారిలో ఆయన మనతో మాట్లాడుతూ లేఖనాలను మనకు అర్థం అయ్యేలా చెబుతున్నప్పుడు మన హృదయాలు దహించుకు పోతున్నట్టు అనిపించ లేదూ” అని చెప్పుకున్నారు.
33 And rising up the same hour, they returned to Jerusalem. And they found the eleven, and those with them, gathered together,
౩౩అప్పుడే వారు లేచి తిరిగి యెరూషలేము వెళ్ళారు. అక్కడ పదకొండు మంది శిష్యులూ, వారితో ఉన్నవారూ కలుసుకుని
34 saying, The Lord is indeed risen and has appeared to Simon.
౩౪“ప్రభువు నిజంగా లేచి సీమోనుకు కనిపించాడు” అని చెప్పుకుంటున్నారు. వారది విని
35 And they related what [had happened] on the way, and how he was made known to them in the breaking of bread.
౩౫దారిలో జరిగిన సంగతులూ, ఆయన రొట్టె విరిచిన వెంటనే తమకెలా ప్రత్యక్షమయ్యాడో తెలియజేశారు.
36 And as they were saying these things, he himself stood in their midst, and says to them, Peace [be] unto you.
౩౬వారు ఇలా మాట్లాడుకుంటూ ఉండగా యేసే వారి మధ్య నిలబడి, “మీకు శాంతి కలుగు గాక” అన్నాడు.
37 But they, being confounded and being frightened, supposed they beheld a spirit.
౩౭అయితే వారు తమకేదో ఆత్మ కనిపించిందనుకుని భయంతో హడలిపోయారు.
38 And he said to them, Why are ye troubled? and why are thoughts rising in your hearts?
౩౮అప్పుడాయన, “మీరు ఎందుకు భయపడుతున్నారు? మీ హృదయాల్లో ఎందుకు సందేహపడుతున్నారు?
39 behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Handle me and see, for a spirit has not flesh and bones as ye see me having.
౩౯నేనే ఆయనను అనడానికి రుజువుగా నా చేతులూ, నా పాదాలూ చూడండి. నన్ను ముట్టుకుని చూడండి. నాకు ఉన్నట్టుగా ఆత్మకు ఎముకలూ మాంసమూ ఉండవు” అని చెప్పాడు.
40 And having said this he shewed them his hands and his feet.
౪౦అలా చెప్పి తన చేతులనూ, కాళ్ళనూ వారికి చూపించాడు.
41 But while they yet did not believe for joy, and were wondering, he said to them, Have ye anything here to eat?
౪౧అయితే వారు సంతోషంతో తబ్బిబ్బులై పోతూ ఇంకా నమ్మకుండా ఆశ్చర్యపోతూ ఉన్నారు. అప్పుడు ఆయన, “మీ దగ్గర ఏదైనా ఆహారం ఉందా?” అని అడిగాడు.
42 And they gave him part of a broiled fish and of a honeycomb;
౪౨వారు కాల్చిన చేప ముక్కను ఆయనకు ఇచ్చారు.
43 and he took it and ate before them.
౪౩ఆయన దాన్ని తీసుకుని వారి కళ్ళ ముందే తిన్నాడు.
44 And he said to them, These [are] the words which I spoke to you while I was yet with you, that all that is written concerning me in the law of Moses and prophets and psalms must be fulfilled.
౪౪తరువాత ఆయన, “మోషే ధర్మశాస్త్రంలోనూ, ప్రవక్తల గ్రంథాల్లోనూ, కీర్తనల్లోనూ నా గురించి రాసినవన్నీ నెరవేరాలని నేను మీతో ఉన్నప్పుడు చెప్పాను గదా” అన్నాడు.
45 Then he opened their understanding to understand the scriptures,
౪౫అప్పుడు లేఖనాలను గ్రహించగలిగేలా ఆయన వారి మనసులను తెరిచాడు.
46 and said to them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved the Christ to suffer, and to rise from among the dead the third day;
౪౬“క్రీస్తు హింసల పాలై చనిపోయి మూడవ రోజున చనిపోయిన వారిలో నుండి లేస్తాడనీ,
47 and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name to all the nations beginning at Jerusalem.
౪౭యెరూషలేములో ప్రారంభమై సమస్త జాతులకూ ఆయన పేర పశ్చాత్తాపం, పాప క్షమాపణ ప్రకటన జరుగుతుందనీ రాసి ఉంది.
48 And ye are witnesses of these things.
౪౮మీరు ఈ విషయాలన్నిటికీ సాక్షులు.
49 And behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you; but do ye remain in the city till ye be clothed with power from on high.
౪౯“వినండి, నా తండ్రి చేసిన వాగ్దానాన్ని మీ మీదికి పంపుతున్నాను. మీరు పైనుండి శక్తి పొందే వరకూ పట్టణంలోనే ఉండండి” అని వారికి చెప్పాడు.
50 And he led them out as far as Bethany, and having lifted up his hands, he blessed them.
౫౦ఆయన బేతనియ వరకూ వారిని తీసుకు పోయి చేతులెత్తి వారిని ఆశీర్వదించాడు.
51 And it came to pass as he was blessing them, he was separated from them and was carried up into heaven.
౫౧అలా వారిని ఆశీర్వదిస్తూ ఉండగానే ఆయన వారిలో నుండి వేరై పరలోకానికి ఆరోహణం అయ్యాడు.
52 And they, having done him homage, returned to Jerusalem with great joy,
౫౨వారు ఆయనను ఆరాధించి గొప్ప ఆనందంతో యెరూషలేముకు తిరిగి వెళ్ళారు.
53 and were continually in the temple praising and blessing God.
౫౩దేవాలయంలో నిరంతరం ఉంటూ దేవుణ్ణి కీర్తిస్తూ, ఆరాధిస్తూ ఉన్నారు.
