< Luke 24 >

1 But on the morrow of the sabbath, very early indeed in the morning, they came to the tomb, bringing the aromatic spices which they had prepared.
A NIN tapin wik, nin joran kaualap re pwara don joujou o, wado potik kai me re kaonopadar;
2 And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.
Irail ari diaradar, me takai o kadapura jan joujou o,
3 And when they had entered they found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
O irail lao pedelon on lole, ap jota diarada kalep en Kaun Iejuj.
4 And it came to pass as they were in perplexity about it, that behold, two men suddenly stood by them in shining raiment.
Kadekadeo irail lao injenjued kidar, kilan, ol riamen, me likau kida likau linan, ap pwara don irail.
5 And as they were filled with fear and bowed their faces to the ground, they said to them, Why seek ye the living one among the dead?
Irail lao majapwekadar o ikiokidi nan pwel, ira ap majani on irail: Da me komail raparapaki me maur amen ren me melar akan?
6 He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spoke to you, being yet in Galilee,
A joer kotikot met, a iajadar. Tamanda, me a kotin majani on komail ni a kotikoteta Kalilaa,
7 saying, The Son of man must be delivered up into the hands of sinners, and be crucified, and rise the third day.
Mamajani: Nain aramaj pan panalan ni pa en me dipan akan, o lopuela, o ni ran kajilu a pan iajada.
8 And they remembered his words;
Ir ari tamanda a majan akan.
9 and, returning from the sepulchre, related all these things to the eleven and to all the rest.
O purodo jan nin joujou o, ap kaireki mepukat on ekamen ko o on me tei kan karoj.
10 Now it was Mary of Magdala, and Johanna, and Mary the [mother] of James, and the others with them, who told these things to the apostles.
Maria men Makdala, o Ioana, o Maria in en Iokopuj, o me tei ko me ian irail, me kaireki mepukat on wanporon akan.
11 And their words appeared in their eyes as an idle tale, and they disbelieved them.
A arail kajoi likamata kajoi likam pot re’rail, ap jota kamelele.
12 But Peter, rising up, ran to the sepulchre, and stooping down he sees the linen clothes lying there alone, and went away home, wondering at what had happened.
Petruj ap uda tanalan joujou o, rukedi on lole, ap diarada, me likau linen akan ta wonon waja kij, ap purodo jan o puriamui kida me wiauier.
13 And behold, two of them were going on the same day to a village distant sixty stadia from Jerusalem, called Emmaus;
A kilan ni ran ota riamen re’rail momaitelan kijin kanim eu ad a Emaulj; a doo jan lerujalem mail wonu de iju.
14 and they conversed with one another about all these things which had taken place.
Ira ari kajokajoi penaer duen mepukat karoj.
15 And it came to pass as they conversed and reasoned, that Jesus himself drawing nigh, went with them;
Kadekadeo ni ara kajokajoi o idedok pena, pein Iejuj ap kotin pwara don ira o ian ira kotila.
16 but their eyes were holden so as not to know him.
A maj ara me atiat, pwe re de aja i.
17 And he said to them, What discourses are these which pass between you as ye walk, and are downcast?
I ari kotin majani on ira: Da me koma kajokajoi pena ni oma alialu, o da me koma injenjued kila?
18 And one [of them], named Cleopas, answering said to him, Thou sojournest alone in Jerusalem, and dost not know what has taken place in it in these days?
Amen ira, me ad a Kleopaj, ap japen indan i: Koe men wai ta men nan lerujalem, me jaja, me wiauier waja o ni ran pukat?
19 And he said to them, What things? And they said to him, The things concerning Jesus the Nazaraean, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people;
A kotin majani on ira: Pwe dakot? Ira ap indan i: Duen Iejuj en Najaret, me jaukop manaman amen ni a wiawia o majan akan mon Kot o aramaj karoj.
20 and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him up to [the] judgment of death and crucified him.
O duen jamero lapalap o atail jaumaj akan ar panala i pwen pakadeikada on matala o kalopuela i.
21 But we had hoped that he was [the one] who is about to redeem Israel. But then, besides all these things, it is now, to-day, the third day since these things took place.
A je kiki on, me a pan kotin kamaioda wein Ijrael. Ari ran wet pon jili pon murin mepukat wiauier.
22 And withal, certain women from amongst us astonished us, having been very early at the sepulchre,
O pil kij at li akai kamajak kin kit ar pwaralan joujou o jankonai.
23 and, not having found his body, came, saying that they also had seen a vision of angels, who say that he is living.
Ni ar jota diar kalep a, rap puredo indada, me re diaradar janjal en tounlan kai, me katitiki, me a iajadar,
24 And some of those with us went to the sepulchre, and found it so, as the women also had said, but him they saw not.
O kij at kai kolan joujou o, ap diaradar, duen li oko kajoka joida, a i me re jota diarada.
25 And he said to them, O senseless and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!
A kotin majani on ira: O koma meid lolepon o pwand nan monion omail, en kamelele meakan, me jaukop akan kopadar.
26 Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into his glory?
Kaidin i, me udan Krijtuj en kalokolok ap kodalan a linan?
27 And having begun from Moses and from all the prophets, he interpreted to them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
A ap kotin kawewe on ira kijin likau kan duen pein i, tapiada ni Mojej kokodo lel jaukop akan.
28 And they drew near to the village where they were going, and he made as though he would go farther.
Irail ap koren ion kanim, me irail koko on. I ari kajonejon ira, dene a pan kotin daulul.
29 And they constrained him, saying, Stay with us, for it is toward evening and the day is declining. And he entered in to stay with them.
Ira ap nidinidiki i potoan on: Kom kotikoteta re at, pwe a pan waja ponier o ran wet koren ion imwijokela. A ap kotilon on nan im o, pwen mimieta re ra.
30 And it came to pass as he was at table with them, having taken the bread, he blessed, and having broken it, gave it to them.
Kadekadeo ni a kotin ian ira ni tepel o, a kotin limada prot, laolaoki, a lao pilitiki pena, a kotiki on ira.
31 And their eyes were opened, and they recognised him. And he disappeared from them.
Maj ara ap pad pajaner, ira ap aja i. A ap kotin joredi jan mo’ra.
32 And they said to one another, Was not our heart burning in us as he spoke to us on the way, [and] as he opened the scriptures to us?
Ira ap inda nan pun ara: Monion ata jota mokimokid ni a kotin mamajani on kita pon al o, ni a kotin kawewe on kita kijin likau kan?
33 And rising up the same hour, they returned to Jerusalem. And they found the eleven, and those with them, gathered together,
Ira ari uda ni auer ota o purelan lerujalem, o diarada ekamen ko, o me ian ir, kot pena waja takij,
34 saying, The Lord is indeed risen and has appeared to Simon.
Katitiki: Nan melel Kauno kotin iajadar o pwara don Jimon,
35 And they related what [had happened] on the way, and how he was made known to them in the breaking of bread.
Ira ap kajokajoi, me wiauier nani al o, o duen ara ajaki i a pilitiki pajan prot.
36 And as they were saying these things, he himself stood in their midst, and says to them, Peace [be] unto you.
A ni ar majan pena mepukat, pein Iejuj ap kotin pwara don nan pun arail majani on ir: Komail popol!
37 But they, being confounded and being frightened, supposed they beheld a spirit.
Irail ari majapwekadar o wapondar, o re kiki on, me ani men, me re udial.
38 And he said to them, Why are ye troubled? and why are thoughts rising in your hearts?
A kotin majani on irail: Da me komail majak ki? O menda lamelam pukat mi nan monion omail?
39 behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Handle me and see, for a spirit has not flesh and bones as ye see me having.
Komail kilan pa i kat o nai kat, pwe pein nai ta. Doke ia o kilan, pwe ani jota kin uduk o ti, duen omail kilan ia.
40 And having said this he shewed them his hands and his feet.
A lao majani mepukat, ap kajale on irail lim a o aluwilu a kan.
41 But while they yet did not believe for joy, and were wondering, he said to them, Have ye anything here to eat?
A ni ar jota non kamelele pweki ar peren o puriamuiki, ap kotin majani on irail: Jota kan omail met?
42 And they gave him part of a broiled fish and of a honeycomb;
Rap ki on i kijan mam inin o onik.
43 and he took it and ate before them.
I ari konot mo’rail.
44 And he said to them, These [are] the words which I spoke to you while I was yet with you, that all that is written concerning me in the law of Moses and prophets and psalms must be fulfilled.
A kotin majani on irail: I majan akan, me I ki on komail er, ni ai mimieta re omail, pwe karoj en pwaida, me intinidier duen nai nan kapun en Mojej, o jaukop akan, o pjalm akan.
45 Then he opened their understanding to understand the scriptures,
I ap kotin kalolikoni irail, pwe ren dedeki kijin likau kai.
46 and said to them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved the Christ to suffer, and to rise from among the dead the third day;
O kotin majani on irail Iduen a intinidier, o iduen udan kalokolok en Krijtuj, ap maureda jan ren me melar akan ni ran kajilu,
47 and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name to all the nations beginning at Jerusalem.
O padapadaki on wei karoj ni mar a, ren kalula, pwe dip akan en lapwada, a pan tapida nan Ierujalem.
48 And ye are witnesses of these things.
A komail me jaunkadede en mepukat.
49 And behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you; but do ye remain in the city till ye be clothed with power from on high.
A kilan, I pan kadara don komail, me Jam ai inaukidar. A komail pan mimieta nan kanim o, komail lao audaudekier manaman jan poa.
50 And he led them out as far as Bethany, and having lifted up his hands, he blessed them.
A kotin kalua ir alan Petanien, kotikida lim a, kapai irail ada.
51 And it came to pass as he was blessing them, he was separated from them and was carried up into heaven.
Kadekadeo ni a kotin kapal ir ada, a kotiwei jan irail, kotidala nanlan.
52 And they, having done him homage, returned to Jerusalem with great joy,
Irail ari kaudok on i, ap pure don Ierujalem perenda kaualap;
53 and were continually in the temple praising and blessing God.
O re potopot nan im en kaudok kapina o kaudok on Kot.
