Luke 19
1 And he entered and passed through Jericho.
Und er kam hinein, und zog durch Jericho.
2 And behold, [there was] a man by name called Zacchaeus, and he was chief tax-gatherer, and he was rich.
Und siehe, da war ein Mann, mit Namen Zachäus, der war ein Oberzöllner, und war reich.
3 And he sought to see Jesus who he was: and he could not for the crowd, because he was little in stature.
Und er suchte Jesus zu sehen, wer er sei, und konnte nicht vor dem Volkshaufen, denn er war klein von Wuchs.
4 And running on before, he got up into a sycamore that he might see him, for he was going to pass that [way].
Und er lief voraus, und stieg auf einen Maulbeerfeigenbaum, damit er ihn sähe, denn dort sollte er durchkommen.
5 And when he came up to the place, Jesus looked up and saw him, and said to him, Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for to-day I must remain in thy house.
Und als er an den Ort kam, blickte Jesus ermpor, sah ihn, und sprach zu ihm: Zachäus, eile dich, und steig herab, denn heute muß ich in deinem Hause bleiben.
6 And he made haste and came down, and received him with joy.
Und er eilte sich, stieg herab, und nahm ihn auf mit Freuden.
7 And all murmured when they saw [it], saying, He has turned in to lodge with a sinful man.
Und alle, die es sahen, murrten, und sprachen: Zu einem Sünder ist er hingegangen, zu herbergen.
8 But Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor, and if I have taken anything from any man by false accusation, I return [him] fourfold.
Zachäus aber stund und sprach zu dem Herrn: Siehe, die Hälfte meiner Güter, Herr, gebe ich den Armen; und wenn ich jemand um etwas übervorteilt habe, so erstatte ich es vierfältig.
9 And Jesus said to him, To-day salvation is come to this house, inasmuch as he also is a son of Abraham;
Jesus aber sprach zu ihm: Heute ist diesem Hause Heil widerfahren, sintemal auch er ein Sohn Abrahams ist.
10 for the Son of man has come to seek and to save that which is lost.
Denn der Menschensohn ist gekommen, zu suchen und zu retten, was verloren ist.
11 But as they were listening to these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was near to Jerusalem and they thought that the kingdom of God was about to be immediately manifested.
Als sie aber dieses hörten, fuhr er fort, und sagte ein Gleichnis, darum daß er nahe bei Jerusalem war, und sie meinten, daß die Gottesherrschaft sogleich geoffenbart würde.
12 He said therefore, A certain high-born man went to a distant country to receive for himself a kingdom and return.
Er sprach nun: Ein Edelmann zog in ein fernes Land, eine Königsherrschaft für sich zu empfangen, und dann zurückzukehren.
13 And having called his own ten bondmen, he gave to them ten minas, and said to them, Trade while I am coming.
Er rief aber zehn seiner Knechte, und übergab ihnen zehn Pfunde, und sprach zu ihnen: Handelt, bis daß ich wiederkomme.
14 But his citizens hated him, and sent an embassy after him, saying, We will not that this [man] should reign over us.
Seine Mitbürger aber haßten ihn, und sandten eine Gesandtschaft hinter ihm drein, und sprachen: Wir wollen nicht, daß dieser König über uns sei.
15 And it came to pass on his arrival back again, having received the kingdom, that he desired these bondmen to whom he gave the money to be called to him, in order that he might know what every one had gained by trading.
Und es geschah, als er zurückgekommen war, und die Königsherrschaft empfangen hatte, ließ er diese Knechte zu sich rufen, welchen er das Geld gegeben hatte, damit er wüßte, was jeder gehandelt hätte.
16 And the first came up, saying, [My] Lord, thy mina has produced ten minas.
Da tat der erste herzu, und sprach: Herr, dein Pfund hat zehn Pfunde erarbeitet.
17 And he said to him, Well [done], thou good bondman; because thou hast been faithful in that which is least, be thou in authority over ten cities.
Und er sprach zu ihm: Recht so, guter Knecht! Weil du im Geringsten treu gewesen bist, so sollst du Macht haben über zehn Städte.
18 And the second came, saying, [My] Lord, thy mina has made five minas.
Und es kam der zweite, und sprach: Herr, dein Pfund hat fünf Pfunde gemacht.
19 And he said also to this one, And thou, be over five cities.
Er sprach aber auch zu diesem: Und du sollst über fünf Städte sein.
20 And another came, saying, [My] Lord, lo, [there is] thy mina, which I have kept laid up in a towel.
Und ein anderer kam, und sprach: Herr, siehe, hier ist dein Pfund, welches ich im Schweißtuch aufbewahrt habe.
21 For I feared thee because thou art a harsh man: thou takest up what thou hast not laid down, and thou reapest what thou hast not sowed.
Denn ich fürchtete mich, weil du ein strenger Mensch bist; du nimmst, was du nicht hingelegt hast, und erntest, was du nicht gesäet hast.
22 He says to him, Out of thy mouth will I judge thee, wicked bondman: thou knewest that I am a harsh man, taking up what I have not laid down and reaping what I have not sowed.
Er aber sagt ihm: Aus deinem Munde richte ich dich, schlechter Knecht. Du wußtest, daß ich ein strenger Mensch bin, nehme, was ich nicht hingelegt habe, und ernte, was ich nicht gesäet habe?
23 And why didst thou not give my money to [the] bank; and I should have received it, at my coming, with interest?
Warum hast du denn mein Geld nicht in die Bank getan, und bei meiner Rückkehr hätte ich es mit Zinsen eingezogen?
24 And he said to those that stood by, Take from him the mina and give [it] to him who has the ten minas.
Und er sprach zu den Dabeistehenden: Nehmet das Pfund von ihm, und gebet es dem, der die zehn Pfunde hat.
25 And they said to him, Lord, he has ten minas.
Und sie sprachen zu ihm: Herr, er hat zehn Pfunde.
26 For I say unto you, that to every one that has shall be given; but from him that has not, that even which he has shall be taken from him.
Ich sage euch: Jedem, der da hat, wird gegeben werden; wer aber nicht hat, von dem wird auch was er hat, genommen werden.
27 Moreover those mine enemies, who would not [have] me to reign over them, bring them here and slay [them] before me.
Doch jene meine Feinde, die nicht wollten, daß ich König über sie sein soll, bringet hierher, und erwürget sie vor mir.
28 And having said these things, he went on before, going up to Jerusalem.
Und als er dies gesagt hatte, ging er voraus, und zog hinauf nach Jerusalem.
29 And it came to pass as he drew near to Bethphage and Bethany at the mountain called [the mount] of Olives, he sent two of his disciples,
Und es geschah, als er nahe an Bethphage und Bethanien kam, an den sogenannten Ölberg, sandte er zwei seiner Jünger,
30 saying, Go into the village over against [you], in which ye will find, on entering it, a colt tied up, on which no [child] of man ever sat at any time: loose it and lead it [here].
Und sprach: Gehet hin in das gegenüberliegende Dorf; wenn ihr in dasselbe eingehet, so werdet ihr ein Füllen angebunden finden, auf welchem noch nie ein Mensch gesessen ist; löset es ab, und bringet es.
31 And if any one ask you, Why do ye loose [it]? thus shall ye say to him, Because the Lord has need of it.
Und wenn euch jemand frägt: Warum löset ihr es ab? so saget ihm also: Der Herr hat es nötig.
32 And they that were sent, having gone their way, found as he had said to them.
Und die gesandt waren, gingen hin, und fanden es, wie er ihnen gesagt hatte.
33 And as they were loosing the colt, its masters said to them, Why loose ye the colt?
Als sie aber das Füllen ablösten, sprachen seine Herren zu ihnen: Was löset ihr das Füllen ab?
34 And they said, Because the Lord has need of it.
Und sie sprachen: der Herr hat es nötig;
35 And they led it to Jesus; and having cast their own garments on the colt, they put Jesus on [it].
Und führten es zu Jesus, und warfen ihre Kleider auf das Füllen, und hoben Jesum darauf.
36 And as he went, they strewed their clothes in the way.
Als er aber hinzog, breiteten sie ihre Kleider aus auf dem Wege.
37 And as he drew near, already at the descent of the mount of Olives, all the multitude of the disciples began, rejoicing, to praise God with a loud voice for all the works of power which they had seen,
Da er aber schon nahe an den Ort gekommen war, wo man den Ölberg hinuntergeht, fing die ganze Menge seiner Jünger an Gott zu loben mit lauter Stimme, wegen all der Krafttaten, die sie gesehen hatten,
38 saying, Blessed the King that comes in the name of [the] Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.
Und sprachen: Gesegnet sei der König, der da kommt im Namen des Herrn! Friede sei im Himmel, und Herrlichkeit sei in den Höhen (beschlossen über ihn)!
39 And some of the Pharisees from the crowd said to him, Teacher, rebuke thy disciples.
Und etliche der Pharisäer von dem Volkshaufen sprachen zu ihm: Lehrer, wehre deine Jünger!
40 And he answering said to them, I say unto you, If these shall be silent, the stones will cry out.
Und er antwortete, und sprach zu ihnen: Ich sage euch, daß wenn diese schweigen, die Steine schreien.
41 And as he drew near, seeing the city, he wept over it,
Und als er nahekam, und die Stadt sah, weinte er über sie,
42 saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, even at least in this thy day, the things that are for thy peace: but now they are hid from thine eyes;
Und sprach: Ach, daß auch du wüßtest, und zwar an diesem deinem Tage, was zu deinem Frieden dient! Nun aber ist es vor deinen Augen verborgen.
43 for days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall make a palisaded mound about thee, and shall close thee around, and keep thee in on every side,
Denn es werden Tage über dich kommen, da deine Feinde einen Wall um dich aufwerfen, und dich umzingeln, und dich einengen werden von allen Seiten.
44 and shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children in thee; and shall not leave in thee a stone upon a stone: because thou knewest not the season of thy visitation.
Und sie werden dich und deine Kinder in dir zu Boden werfen, und werden in dir keinen Stein auf dem andern lassen, dafür daß du nicht erkannt hast die Zeit deiner Heimsuchung.
45 And entering into the temple, he began to cast out those that sold and bought in it,
Und er ging in den Tempel, und fing an auszutreiben, die darin verkauften und kauften.
46 saying to them, It is written, My house is a house of prayer, but ye have made it a den of robbers.
Und sprachen zu ihnen: Es steht geschrieben: "Mein Haus ist ein Bethaus"; ihr aber habt es zu einer Räuberhöhle gemacht.
47 And he was teaching day by day in the temple: and the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him,
Und er lehrte täglich im Tempel. Die hohen Priester aber und die Schriftgelehrten samt den ersten des Volkes suchten ihn umzubringen.
48 and did not find what they could do, for all the people hung on him to hear.
Und sie fanden nicht, was sie ihm tun sollten, denn das ganze Volk hing an seinem Munde.
