< Luke 15 >
1 And all the tax-gatherers and the sinners were coming near to him to hear him;
Agus tangadar na Puibliocáin uile agus na peacthaigh chuige déisdeachd ris:
2 and the Pharisees and the scribes murmured, saying, This [man] receives sinners and eats with them.
Agus do rinneadar na PhairsInigh agus na SgrIobuidhe munmhar, ag rádh, Gabhuidh an feporso peachtaigh chuige, agus ithidh se bíadh na bhfochair.
3 And he spoke to them this parable, saying,
Achd do labhair seison an chosamlachd sa riu, ag rádh,
4 What man of you having a hundred sheep, and having lost one of them, does not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness and go after that which is lost, until he find it?
Cía agaibhsi duine, agá bhfuil céad cáora, agus do léigfeadh áon díobh a mugha, nach bhfágann na naói gcaóiridh déug agus ceithre fichid ar an bhfásach, agus nach dtéid a ndiAigh na c aorach úd do chúaidh a mugha, nó go bhfafann sé í?
5 and having found it, he lays it upon his own shoulders, rejoicing;
Agus ar na fagháil do, cuiridh sé go luathgháireach, í ar a ghnáillibh,
6 and being come to the house, calls together the friends and the neighbours, saying to them, Rejoice with me, for I have found my lost sheep.
Agus ar dteachd dá thigh dhó, goiridh se a cháirde agus a chomharsain a geanna chéile, ag rádh rIu, Déanuidh luathgháireleamsa; óir fuáir mé mo cháora do chuáidh a múgha.
7 I say unto you, that thus there shall be joy in heaven for one repenting sinner, [more] than for ninety and nine righteous who have no need of repentance.
A derim ribh, gur ah mar sin bhias forbhfáilte ar neamh ar son éin pheaochach do mni is mó na ar son naói bhfréin dég agus fichid, ar nach bhfuil riachdanasaithrighe.
8 Or, what woman having ten drachmas, if she lose one drachma, does not light a lamp and sweep the house and seek carefully till she find it?
Nó cía an bhean agá mbíadh deich mboinn, agus do léigfeadh si ááon bhonn diobh a mugha, nach lasadh solas, agus nach sguaibéochadh an tígh, agus nach íarrfadh go dithcheallach nó go bhághadh si é?
9 and having found it she calls together the friends and neighbours, saying, Rejoice with me, for I have found the drachma which I had lost.
Agus ar na fHagháil, goiridh sí a bancháirde agus a banchomharsain a gceann a chéile, ag radh, Deannidh gáideachas léamsa; óir fuáir mé mo bhonn do leig me a múgha.
10 Thus, I say unto you, there is joy before the angels of God for one repenting sinner.
Mar an gcéadna, a deirim ribh, Bí gáirdeachas ar ainglibh Dé trí éin pheacthach amháin do ní aithrighe.
11 And he said, A certain man had two sons;
Agus a dubhairt sé fós, Do bhádar días mac ag duine aáirghe:
12 and the younger of them said to his father, Father, give to me the share of the property that falls [to me]. And he divided to them what he was possessed of.
Agus a dubhairt an ti dob oige aca ré na athair, Athair, tabhair dhamh an chuid roitheas misi dod mhaóin. Aagus do roinn seision a mhaóin eatorra.
13 And after not many days the younger son gathering all together went away into a country a long way off, and there dissipated his property, living in debauchery.
Agus tar éis bheagáin aimsire ag cruinniughadh a choda uile don mhac dob óige, do chúaidh sé air coigcrigh adtalamh imchían, agus do dhiombail sé ann sin a mhaóin lé na bheathaidh baoth-chaithfigh.
14 But when he had spent all there arose a violent famine throughout that country, and he began to be in want.
Agus tar éis a choda uile do chaitheamh dho, déirih gorta romhór ann sa tir sin; agus do thosaigh seision ar bheith a ríachdanas.
15 And he went and joined himself to one of the citizens of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.
Agus do imigh sé roimhe agus do cheangal sé e fein do chaithruightheóir don tír sin; noch do chuir fána dhúitche a mach é do bhúachuilleachd muc.
16 And he longed to fill his belly with the husks which the swine were eating; and no one gave to him.
Agus bá mhian leis a bhlog do Líonadh do na féithéoguibh do na muca: agus ní thugadh éanduine dhó íad.
17 And coming to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have abundance of bread, and I perish here by famine.
Agus an ta n do chuimhnigh sé air féin, a dubhairt sé, Gá mhéd luchd túarasdail matharsa agá bhfúil iomarcaidh aráin, agus misi ag dul a mugha le gorta!
18 I will rise up and go to my father, and I will say to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and before thee;
Fíréochaid mé agus rachaidh médionnsuighe mathar, agus déaruidh mé ris, A athair, do pheacaigh mé a naghaidh neimhe agus ad fhíadhnuisisi,
19 I am no longer worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.
Agus ní fín mé feasda do mhacsa do ghairm dhióm: déana mé mar áon dod luchd thúarasduil.
20 And he rose up and went to his own father. But while he was yet a long way off, his father saw him, and was moved with compassion, and ran, and fell upon his neck, and covered him with kisses.
Agus deirigh sé, agus do chuáidh sé dionnsuighe a athaar. Agus ar mbeith fós a gcíanúadh dhó do chonnaire a athair é, agus do ghabh truáighe mhór dhó é, agus ag rith dhó, do chrom sé fá na bhrághuid, agus do phóg sé é.
21 And the son said to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and before thee; I am no longer worthy to be called thy son.
Agus a dubhairt an mac ris, A athair, do pheacaigh méa naghuidh neimhe, agus ad fhiadhnuisisi, agus ní fiu mé feasda do mhacsa do ghairim dhiom.
22 But the father said to his bondmen, Bring out the best robe and clothe him in [it], and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet;
Agus a dubhhairt an tathair ré na shearbhoghantaibh, Tabhruidh an chuluidhein is fearr libh, agus cuireidh uime í; agus cuiridh fainne air a láimh, agus bróga air a chosaibh:
23 and bring the fatted calf and kill it, and let us eat and make merry:
Agus tuguidh libh agus marbhuidh, an láogh bíadhta; agus caitheam biadh, agus bíom go súgach:
24 for this my son was dead and has come to life, was lost and has been found. And they began to make merry.
Oir fuáir mo mhac ann so bás, agus do aithbhéodhuigh sé: agus do chúaidh sé a mugha, agus friíth é. Ar a naddhbhar, sindo thionnsgnadar bheith go sugach.
25 And his elder son was in the field; and as, coming [up], he drew nigh to the house, he heard music and dancing.
Achd do bhí an mac búdh seine aige air an machaire amuich: agus ar dteachd a ngar don tigh dho, do chúaluidh sé an céol agus na damhsaidhe.
26 And having called one of the servants, he inquired what these things might be.
Agus ar ngairm aóin do na scarbhfhoghantuibh chuige dhó, dfiáfruidh sé dhe créd iad na neithesi?
27 And he said to him, Thy brother is come, and thy father has killed the fatted calf because he has received him safe and well.
Agus a dubhairt seision ris, Do dhearbhráthairsi thánic: agus do mharbh hathair anláogh bíadhta, ar son go h˘fuair sé slán a ris é.
28 But he became angry and would not go in. And his father went out and besought him.
Agus do ghabh fearg eision, agus nior bháill leis dul a sdeach: uimesin tháinic a athair amach, agus do ghoir sé chuige é.
29 But he answering said to his father, Behold, so many years I serve thee, and never have I transgressed a commandment of thine; and to me hast thou never given a kid that I might make merry with my friends:
Achd ar bhfreaga dhosan a dubhairt sé ris a athair, Feach, a timsi ag déanamh agus nior sháruigh mé haithne a riamh: gídheadh ní thug tú fin an mheannáin dhamh ariamh, ionnus go mbéinn go súgach rém cháirdibh:
30 but when this thy son, who has devoured thy substance with harlots, is come, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.
Achd an tan tháinic an macsa agad, do shlug do mhaóin a bhfochair mheirdreach, do mharbh tú an láogh ˘bíadhta dho.
31 But he said to him, Child, thou art ever with me, and all that is mine is thine.
Achd a dubhairt seision ris, a mhic, atá tusa do gnáth am fhochair, agus na huile neithe is leamsa, is leachdsa iad.
32 But it was right to make merry and rejoice, because this thy brother was dead and has come to life again, and was lost and has been found.
Achd do budh cóir dhúinn sugachas, agus forbháilteachas do dhéanamh; tré go raibh an dearbhathairsi agadsa tar éis bháis, agus gur aithbhéodhuigh sé; agus go ndeach aidh sé a mugha, agus gur fríth a ris e.
