Leviticus 16
1 And Jehovah spoke to Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron, when they came near before Jehovah and died;
Weiter redete der HERR mit Mose nach dem Tode der beiden Söhne Aarons, die da hatten sterben müssen, als sie (mit einem ungehörigen Opfer) vor den HERRN getreten waren.
2 and Jehovah said to Moses, Speak unto Aaron thy brother, that he come not at all times into the sanctuary inside the veil before the mercy-seat which is upon the ark, that he die not; for I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy-seat.
Der HERR gebot damals dem Mose: »Sage deinem Bruder Aaron, er dürfe nicht zu jeder beliebigen Zeit in das (innerste) Heiligtum hinter den Vorhang eintreten vor die Deckplatte, die über der Lade liegt, er müßte sonst sterben; denn ich offenbare mich in der Wolke über der Deckplatte.
3 In this manner shall Aaron come into the sanctuary: with a young bullock for a sin-offering, and a ram for a burnt-offering.
Nur in dem Falle darf Aaron in das (innerste) Heiligtum eintreten, wenn er mit einem jungen Stier zum Sündopfer und mit einem Widder zum Brandopfer erscheint.
4 A holy linen vest shall he put on, and linen trousers shall be upon his flesh, and he shall be girded with a linen girdle, and with the linen mitre shall he be attired: these are holy garments; and he shall bathe his flesh in water, and put them on.
Er muß ferner ein heiliges Unterkleid von Leinen anhaben und Unterbeinkleider von Leinen auf dem bloßen Leibe tragen und mit einem Gürtel von Leinen umgürtet sein und sich einen Kopfbund von Leinen umgebunden haben; das sind die heiligen Kleider, die er anlegen muß, nachdem er ein Wasserbad genommen hat.
5 And of the assembly of the children of Israel shall he take two bucks of the goats for a sin-offering, and one ram for a burnt-offering.
Von der Gemeinde der Israeliten aber soll er sich zwei Ziegenböcke zum Sündopfer und einen Widder zum Brandopfer geben lassen.«
6 And Aaron shall present the bullock of the sin-offering, which is for himself, and make atonement for himself, and for his house.
»Hierauf soll Aaron den jungen Stier, der zum Sündopfer für ihn selbst bestimmt ist, herzubringen und sich und seinem Hause Sühne erwirken.
7 And he shall take the two goats, and set them before Jehovah, before the entrance of the tent of meeting.
Dann soll er die beiden Böcke nehmen und sie vor den HERRN an den Eingang des Offenbarungszeltes stellen.
8 And Aaron shall cast lots upon the two goats: one lot for Jehovah, and the other lot for Azazel.
Hierauf soll Aaron Lose über die beiden Böcke werfen, das eine Los für den HERRN, das andere Los für Asasel.
9 And Aaron shall present the goat upon which the lot fell for Jehovah, and offer it [as] a sin-offering.
Dann soll Aaron den Bock, auf den das für den HERRN bestimmte Los gefallen ist, heranbringen und ihn als Sündopfer herrichten;
10 And the goat upon which the lot fell for Azazel shall be set alive before Jehovah, to make atonement with it, to send it away as Azazel into the wilderness.
der Bock aber, auf den das für Asasel bestimmte Los gefallen ist, soll lebend vor den HERRN gestellt werden, damit man über ihm die Sühnehandlungen vollziehe und ihn dann zu Asasel in die Wüste schicke.«
11 And Aaron shall present the bullock of the sin-offering, which is for himself, and shall make atonement for himself and for his house, and shall slaughter the bullock of the sin-offering which is for himself.
»Aaron soll also den jungen Stier, der zum Sündopfer für ihn selbst bestimmt ist, herzubringen, um für sich und sein Haus Sühne zu erwirken. Er schlachte demnach den Stier, der zum Sündopfer für ihn bestimmt ist,
12 And he shall take the censer full of burning coals of fire from off the altar before Jehovah, and both his hands full of fragrant incense beaten small, and bring it inside the veil.
nehme dann die Räucherpfanne voll glühender Kohlen von dem Altar, der vor dem HERRN steht, und seine beiden Hände voll feinzerstoßenen, wohlriechenden Räucherwerks und bringe es hinein in den Raum hinter dem Vorhange.
13 And he shall put the incense upon the fire before Jehovah, that the cloud of the incense may cover the mercy-seat which is upon the testimony, that he die not.
Dort tue er das Räucherwerk vor dem HERRN auf die Kohlenglut, damit die Wolke des Räucherwerks die Deckplatte, die auf der Gesetzeslade liegt, verhülle und er nicht zu sterben braucht.
14 And he shall take of the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle with his finger upon the front of the mercy-seat eastward; and before the mercy-seat shall he sprinkle of the blood seven times with his finger.
Dann nehme er etwas von dem Blut des Stieres und sprenge es mit seinem Finger auf die Vorderseite der Deckplatte, und auf die Stelle vor der Deckplatte sprenge er siebenmal von dem Blut mit seinem Finger.«
15 And he shall slaughter the goat of the sin-offering, which is for the people, and bring its blood inside the veil, and do with its blood as he did with the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it upon the mercy-seat, and before the mercy-seat;
»Hierauf schlachte er den Bock, der zum Sündopfer für das Volk bestimmt ist, und bringe sein Blut in den Raum hinter dem Vorhang. Dort verfahre er mit diesem Blut ebenso, wie er mit dem Blut des Stieres verfahren ist: er sprenge es auf die Deckplatte und auf die Stelle vor die Deckplatte
16 and he shall make atonement for the sanctuary, [to cleanse it] from the uncleanness of the children of Israel, and from their transgressions in all their sins; and so shall he do for the tent of meeting which dwelleth among them in the midst of their uncleanness.
und erwirke so dem Heiligtum Sühne wegen der Verunreinigungen durch die Israeliten und wegen aller Übertretungen, die sie sich haben zuschulden kommen lassen; ebenso verfahre er dann auch mit dem Offenbarungszelt dessen, der bei ihnen mitten unter ihren Versündigungen wohnt.
17 And there shall be no man in the tent of meeting when he goeth in to make atonement in the sanctuary until he come out; and he shall make atonement for himself, and for his house, and for the whole congregation of Israel.
Es darf aber kein Mensch im Offenbarungszelt anwesend sein, wenn er hineingeht, um im Heiligtum die Sühnehandlungen vorzunehmen, bis er wieder herausgekommen ist. So erwirke er Sühne für sich und sein Haus und für die ganze Gemeinde Israel.
18 And he shall go out unto the altar which is before Jehovah, and make atonement for it; and shall take of the blood of the bullock, and of the goat, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about;
Alsdann soll er an den Altar hinausgehen, der vor dem HERRN steht, und auch an diesem die Entsündigung vollziehen. Er nehme nämlich etwas von dem Blut des Stieres und vom Blut des Bockes und streiche es an die Hörner des Altars ringsum;
19 and he shall sprinkle upon it of the blood with his finger seven times, and cleanse it, and hallow it from the uncleannesses of the children of Israel.
dann sprenge er etwas von dem Blut siebenmal mit seinem Finger an den Altar und heilige ihn so und reinige ihn von den Versündigungen der Israeliten.«
20 And when he hath ended making atonement for the sanctuary, and the tent of meeting, and the altar, he shall present the living goat;
»Nachdem er so die Sühnung des Heiligtums und des Offenbarungszeltes und des Altars vollzogen hat, soll er den noch lebenden Bock herbeiholen.
21 and Aaron shall lay both his hands on the head of the living goat, and confess over it all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, and he shall put them on the head of the goat, and shall send him away to the wilderness by the hand of a man standing ready;
Aaron lege diesem Bock seine beiden Hände fest auf den Kopf, bekenne über ihm alle Verschuldungen der Israeliten und alle Übertretungen, die sie sich irgendwie haben zuschulden kommen lassen; er lege sie auf den Kopf des Bockes und lasse diesen durch einen bereitstehenden Mann in die Wüste fortschaffen.
22 that the goat may bear upon him all their iniquities to a land apart [from men]; and he shall send away the goat into the wilderness.
So soll der Bock alle ihre Verschuldungen auf sich nehmen und sie in eine abgeschiedene Gegend tragen; (der Mann) soll ihn dann in der Wüste loslassen.«
23 And Aaron shall go into the tent of meeting, and shall put off the linen garments, which he put on when he went into the sanctuary, and shall leave them there;
»Hierauf soll Aaron wieder in das Offenbarungszelt hineingehen und die leinenen Kleider, die er bei seinem Eintritt in das innerste Heiligtum angezogen hatte, ausziehen und sie dort niederlegen.
24 and he shall bathe his flesh with water in a holy place, and put on his garments, and go forth, and offer his burnt-offering, and the burnt-offering of the people, and make atonement for himself, and for the people.
Darauf soll er an heiliger Stätte ein Wasserbad nehmen, dann seine gewöhnlichen Amtskleider anziehen, hierauf wieder hinausgehen und das Brandopfer für sich und das Brandopfer für das Volk herrichten, um dadurch sich und dem Volke Sühne zu erwirken.
25 And the fat of the sin-offering shall he burn upon the altar.
Das Fett des Sündopfers soll er auf dem Altar in Rauch aufgehen lassen.
26 And he that letteth go the goat for Azazel shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water; and afterwards he may come into the camp.
Der Mann aber, der den Bock zu Asasel hinausgeschafft hat, muß seine Kleider waschen und ein Wasserbad nehmen: dann darf er wieder ins Lager kommen.
27 And the bullock of the sin-offering, and the goat of the sin-offering whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the sanctuary, shall one carry forth outside the camp; and they shall burn with fire their skins, and their flesh, and their dung.
Den Sündopferstier aber und den Sündopferbock, deren Blut hineingebracht worden ist, um im innersten Heiligtum zur Vollziehung der Sühnehandlungen zu dienen, soll man vor das Lager hinausschaffen und ihre Felle, ihr Fleisch und ihren Eingeweideinhalt im Feuer verbrennen.
28 And he that burneth them shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water; and afterwards he may come into the camp.
Der (Mann), welcher die Verbrennung besorgt hat, muß seine Kleider waschen und ein Wasserbad nehmen: dann darf er wieder ins Lager kommen.«
29 And this shall be an everlasting statute unto you. In the seventh month, on the tenth of the month, ye shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all, the home-born, and the stranger that sojourneth among you;
»Und folgendes soll für euch eine ewiggültige Verordnung sein: Im siebten Monat, am zehnten Tage des Monats, sollt ihr eure Seelen beugen und dürft keinerlei Arbeit verrichten, weder der Einheimische noch der Fremdling, der sich bei euch aufhält;
30 for on that day shall atonement be made for you, to cleanse you: from all your sins shall ye be clean before Jehovah.
denn an diesem Tage erwirkt man für euch Sühne, um euch zu reinigen: von all euren Sünden sollt ihr da vor dem HERRN rein werden.
31 A sabbath of rest shall it be unto you, and ye shall afflict your souls: [it is] an everlasting statute.
Ein Tag völliger Ruhe soll es für euch sein, und ihr sollt fasten; das ist eine ewiggültige Verordnung.
32 And the priest who hath been anointed, and who hath been consecrated, to exercise the priesthood in his father's stead, shall make atonement; and he shall put on the linen garments, the holy garments.
Die Sühnung soll aber der Priester vollziehen, den man gesalbt und in sein Amt eingesetzt haben wird, damit er an Stelle seines Vaters den Priesterdienst versehe; und er soll die leinenen Kleider, die heiligen Gewänder, anlegen
33 And he shall make atonement for the holy sanctuary; and for the tent of meeting, and for the altar shall he make atonement; and for the priests, and for the whole people of the congregation shall he make atonement.
und das Allerheiligste entsündigen; ebenso soll er das Offenbarungszelt und den Altar entsündigen und auch den Priestern und der gesamten Volksgemeinde Sühne erwirken.
34 And this shall be an everlasting statute unto you, to make atonement for the children of Israel [to cleanse them] from all their sins once a year. And he did as Jehovah had commanded Moses.
Dies soll für euch eine ewiggültige Verordnung sein, daß man den Israeliten einmal im Jahr Sühne für all ihre Sünden erwirken soll.« – Und (Aaron) tat, wie der HERR dem Mose geboten hatte.
