< Lamentations 5 >
1 Remember, O Jehovah, what is come upon us; consider, and see our reproach.
O, Yehowa, ɖo ŋku nu si dzɔ ɖe mía dzi la dzi, ɖo ŋku anyi eye nàkpɔ míaƒe ŋukpe ɖa.
2 Our inheritance is turned to strangers, our houses to aliens.
Wotsɔ míaƒe domenyinu, na amedzrowo eye wotsɔ míaƒe aƒewo na du bubu me tɔwo.
3 We are orphans and fatherless, our mothers are as widows.
Míezu tsyɔ̃eviwo kple tɔmanɔsitɔwo eye mía nɔwo zu ahosiwo.
4 Our water have we to drink for money, our wood cometh unto us for a price.
Ɖe míedzea tsi hafi nona eye ɖe míeƒlea míawo ŋutɔ ƒe nake.
5 Our pursuers are on our necks: we are weary, we have no rest.
Ame siwo ti mía yome la gogo, ɖeɖi te mía ŋu, ke gbɔɖeme meli o.
6 We have given the hand to Egypt, [and] to Asshur, to be satisfied with bread.
Míetsɔ mía ɖokui dzra na Egipte kple Asiria be míakpɔ abolo aɖu.
7 Our fathers have sinned, [and] they are not; and we bear their iniquities.
Mía fofowo wɔ nu vɔ̃ eye womegale agbe o gake woƒe tohehe va mía dzi.
8 Bondmen rule over us: there is no deliverer out of their hand.
Kluviwo ɖu amegã ɖe mía dzi eye ame aɖeke meli axɔ mí le woƒe asi me o.
9 We have to get our bread at the risk of our lives, because of the sword of the wilderness.
Míetsɔ míaƒe agbe ɖo anyi hafi kpɔa abolo ɖuna, le yi si le gbegbe la ta.
10 Our skin gloweth like an oven, because of the burning heat of the famine.
Míaƒe ŋutilã xɔ dzo abe kpodzo ene eye asrã lé mí le dɔwuame ta.
11 They have ravished the women in Zion, the maids in the cities of Judah.
Wogblẽ Zion nyɔnuwo kple ɖetugbi manyaŋutsuwo le Yuda duwo me.
12 Princes were hanged up by their hand; the faces of elders were not honoured.
Wobla dumegãwo tsɔ ku ati eye womede bubu ame tsitsiwo ŋu o.
13 The young men have borne the mill, and the youths have stumbled under the wood.
Ɖekakpuiwo le te tum atraɖii, eye ŋutsuviwo le ŋeŋem le nakegba te.
14 The elders have ceased from the gate, the young men from their music.
Ame tsitsiwo vɔ le agbonu eye ɖekakpuiwo ƒe hadzidzi nu tso.
15 The joy of our heart hath ceased; our dance is turned into mourning.
Dzidzɔ vavã dzo le míaƒe dziwo me eye míaƒe ɣeɖuɖu trɔ zu nuxaxa.
16 The crown is fallen from our head: woe unto us, for we have sinned!
Fiakuku ge le ta na mí. Baba na mí elabena míewɔ nu vɔ̃!
17 For this our heart is faint; for these things our eyes have grown dim,
Le esia ta míaƒe dziwo le nu xam, le nu siawo ta míaƒe ŋkuwo dzi tsyɔ,
18 Because of the mountain of Zion, which is desolate: foxes walk over it.
Elabena Zion to tsi ƒuƒlu eye amegaxiwo koe le fefem le afi ma.
19 Thou, Jehovah, dwellest for ever; thy throne is from generation to generation.
O, Yehowa, èle fia ɖum tegbee, wò fiazikpui li ke tso dzidzime yi dzidzime.
20 Wherefore dost thou forget us for ever, dost thou forsake us so long time?
Nu ka ta nèŋlɔa mí be ɣe sia ɣi? Nu ka ta nègblẽ mi ɖi eteƒe didi alea?
21 Turn thou us unto thee, Jehovah, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old.
O Yehowa, trɔ mí ɖe ɖokuiwò ŋu be míate ŋu atrɔ agbɔ, wɔ míaƒe ŋkekewo yeye abe le blema ene.
22 Or is it that thou hast utterly rejected us? Wouldest thou be exceeding wroth against us?
Ne menye ɖe nègbe mí keŋkeŋ, eye nèdo dziku ɖe mía ŋu wu ale si dze hã o.
