Judges 12
1 And the men of Ephraim were called together, and passed over northwards, and said to Jephthah, Why didst thou pass over to fight against the children of Ammon, and didst not call us to go with thee? We will burn thy house upon thee with fire.
И собрашася мужие Ефремли и приидоша в Сефину, и реша Иеффаю: почто ходил еси ополчитися на сыны Аммони, и нас не позвал еси ити с тобою? Дом твой с тобою сожжем огнем.
2 And Jephthah said to them, I was at great strife, I and my people, with the children of Ammon; and I called you, but ye saved me not out of their hand.
И рече к ним Иеффай: имех прю аз и людие мои, и сынове Аммони оскорбиша мене зело: и воззвах вас, и не избависте мене от руки их:
3 And when I saw that ye would not save me, I put my life in my hand, and passed over against the children of Ammon, and Jehovah gave them into my hand. Why then are ye come up to me this day, to fight against me?
и видех, яко не бяше спасающаго, и положих душу мою в руку мою, и приидох к сыном Аммоним, и предаде я Господь в руку мою: и вскую приидосте ко мне днесь, ополчити ли ся на мя?
4 And Jephthah gathered together all the men of Gilead, and fought with Ephraim; and the men of Gilead smote Ephraim, because they said, Ye, Gilead, ye are fugitives of Ephraim in the midst of Ephraim, [and] in the midst of Manasseh.
И собра Иеффай вся мужы Галаадски и ополчися на Ефрема: и избиша мужие Галаадстии Ефрема, понеже глаголаху: уцелевшии от Ефрема, вы Галаад среде Ефрема и среде Манассии.
5 And Gilead took the fords of the Jordan before Ephraim; and it came to pass that when the fugitives of Ephraim said, Let me go over, the men of Gilead said to him, Art thou an Ephraimite? and he said, No.
И засяде Галаад проходы у Иордана Ефремовы. И бысть егда реша уцелевшии от Ефрема: прейдем: и рекоша им мужие Галаадстии: еда ли от Ефрема вы? И реша: несмы.
6 Then they said to him, Say now Shibboleth! and he said, Sibboleth, and did not manage to pronounce [it] rightly. Then they took him, and slaughtered him at the fords of the Jordan. And there fell at that time of Ephraim forty-two thousand.
И реша им: рцыте, клас. И не управиша рещи тако: и имаху их, и закалаху у преходов Иорданих: и падоша в то время от Ефрема четыредесять и две тысящы.
7 And Jephthah judged Israel six years. And Jephthah the Gileadite died, and was buried in [one of] the cities of Gilead.
И суди Иеффай Израилеви лет шесть: и умре Иеффай Галаадитин, и погребен бысть во граде своем в Галааде.
8 And after him Ibzan of Bethlehem judged Israel.
И суди по нем Израилеви Есевон от Вифлеема:
9 And he had thirty sons; and thirty daughters he sent out of the house, and thirty daughters he took in from abroad for his sons. And he judged Israel seven years.
и быша ему тридесять сыны и тридесять дщери, яже отдаде вон (мужем), и тридесять жен приведе сыном своим отвне: и суди Израилеви седмь лет:
10 And Ibzan died, and was buried at Bethlehem.
и умре Есевон, и погребен бысть в Вифлееме.
11 And after him Elon, the Zebulonite, judged Israel; and he judged Israel ten years.
И суди по нем Израилеви Елон Завулонянин десять лет:
12 And Elon the Zebulonite died, and was buried in Ajalon in the land of Zebulun.
и умре Елон Завулонянин, и погребен бысть во Елиме в земли Завулони.
13 And after him Abdon the son of Hillel, the Pirathonite, judged Israel.
И суди по нем Израилеви Авдон сын Еллихов Фарафонитин:
14 And he had forty sons and thirty grandsons, who rode on seventy ass colts. And he judged Israel eight years.
и быша ему четыредесять сынове и тридесять внуцы, ездящии на седмидесяти ослех: и суди Израилеви осмь лет:
15 And Abdon the son of Hillel, the Pirathonite, died, and was buried in Pirathon in the land of Ephraim, in the hill-country of the Amalekites.
и умре Авдон сын Еллихов Фарафонитин, и погребен бысть в Фарафоне, в земли Ефремли, в горе Амаликове.
