Joshua 21
1 Then the chief fathers of the Levites drew near to Eleazar the priest, and to Joshua the son of Nun, and to the chief fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel;
| آنگاه روسای آبای لاویان نزد العازرکاهن و نزد یوشع بن نون و نزد روسای آبای اسباط بنی‌اسرائیل آمدند. | ۱ |
2 and they spoke to them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, Jehovah commanded through Moses to give us cities to dwell in, and their suburbs for our cattle.
| و ایشان را درشیلوه در زمین کنعان مخاطب ساخته، گفتند که «خداوند به واسطه موسی‌امر فرموده است که شهرها برای سکونت و حوالی آنها به جهت بهایم ما، به ما داده شود.» | ۲ |
3 And the children of Israel gave to the Levites out of their inheritance, according to the word of Jehovah, these cities and their suburbs.
| پس بنی‌اسرائیل برحسب فرمان خداوند این شهرها را با حوالی آنها از ملک خود به لاویان دادند. | ۳ |
4 And the lot came forth for the families of the Kohathites. And the children of Aaron the priest, of the Levites, had by lot out of the tribe of Judah, and out of the tribe of the Simeonites, and out of the tribe of Benjamin, thirteen cities.
| و قرعه برای قبایل قهاتیان بیرون آمد، وبرای پسران هارون کاهن که از‌جمله لاویان بودند سیزده شهر از سبط یهودا، و از سبط شمعون و ازسبط بنیامین به قرعه رسید. | ۴ |
5 And the children of Kohath that remained had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim, and out of the tribe of Dan, and out of the half tribe of Manasseh, ten cities.
| و برای بقیه پسران قهات، ده شهر از قبایل سبط افرایم و از سبط دان و از نصف سبط منسی به قرعه رسید. | ۵ |
6 And the children of Gershon had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the half tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.
| و برای پسران جرشون سیزده شهر از قبایل سبط یساکار و از سبط اشیر و از سبط نفتالی و ازنصف سبط منسی در باشان به قرعه رسید. | ۶ |
7 The children of Merari according to their families had by lot out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.
| و برای پسران مراری برحسب قبایل ایشان دوازده شهر از سبط روبین و از سبط جاد و از سبطزبولون رسید. | ۷ |
8 And the children of Israel gave by lot to the Levites these cities and their suburbs, as Jehovah commanded through Moses.
| و بنی‌اسرائیل، این شهرها و حوالی آنها را به لاویان به قرعه دادند، چنانکه خداوند به واسطه موسی‌امر فرموده بود. | ۸ |
9 And they gave out of the tribe of the children of Judah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, these cities which were mentioned by name,
| و از سبط بنی یهودا و از سبط بنی شمعون این شهرها را که به نامها ذکر می‌شود، دادند. | ۹ |
10 and which the children of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites, of the children of Levi had (for theirs was the first lot);
| واینها به پسران هارون که از قبایل قهاتیان ازبنی لاوی بودند رسید، زیرا که قرعه اول از ایشان بود. | ۱۰ |
11 and they gave them Kirjath-Arba, [which Arba was] the father of Anak, that is, Hebron, in the mountain of Judah, with its suburbs round about it.
| پس قریه اربع پدر عناق که حبرون باشددر کوهستان یهودا با حوالی که در اطراف آن بود، به ایشان دادند. | ۱۱ |
12 But the fields of the city and the hamlets thereof gave they to Caleb the son of Jephunneh for his possession.
| لیکن مزرعه های شهر و دهات آن را به کالیب بن یفنه برای ملکیت دادند. | ۱۲ |
13 And they gave to the children of Aaron the priest the city of refuge for the slayer, Hebron and its suburbs; and Libnah and its suburbs,
| و به پسران هارون کاهن، حبرون را که شهرملجای قاتلان است با حوالی آن، و لبنه را باحوالی آن دادند. | ۱۳ |
14 and Jattir and its suburbs, and Eshtemoa and its suburbs,
| و یتیر را با نواحی آن واشتموع را با نواحی آن. | ۱۴ |
15 and Holon and its suburbs, and Debir and its suburbs,
| و حولون را با نواحی آن و دبیر را با نواحی آن. | ۱۵ |
16 and Ain and its suburbs, and Juttah and its suburbs, [and] Beth-shemesh and its suburbs: nine cities out of those two tribes;
| و عین را با نواحی آن و یطه را با نواحی آن و بیت شمس را با نواحی آن، یعنی از این دو سبط نه شهر را. | ۱۶ |
17 and out of the tribe of Benjamin: Gibeon and its suburbs, Geba and its suburbs,
| و از سبطبنیامین جبعون را با نواحی آن و جبع را با نواحی آن. | ۱۷ |
18 Anathoth and its suburbs, and Almon and its suburbs; four cities.
| عناتوت را با نواحی آن و علمون را بانواحی آن، یعنی چهار شهر دادند. | ۱۸ |
19 All the cities of the children of Aaron, the priests, were thirteen cities and their suburbs.
| تمامی شهرهای پسران هارون کهنه سیزده شهر با نواحی آنها بود. | ۱۹ |
20 And to the families of the children of Kohath, the Levites that remained of the children of Kohath, [they gave cities]. And the cities of their lot were out of the tribe of Ephraim,
| و اما قبایل بنی قهات لاویان، یعنی بقیه بنی قهات شهرهای قرعه ایشان از سبط افرایم بود. | ۲۰ |
21 and they gave them the city of refuge for the slayer, Shechem and its suburbs in mount Ephraim; and Gezer and its suburbs,
| پس شکیم را در کوهستان افرایم که شهرملجای قاتلان است با نواحی آن و جازر را بانواحی آن به ایشان دادند. | ۲۱ |
22 and Kibzaim and its suburbs, and Beth-horon and its suburbs: four cities;
| و قبصایم را بانواحی آن و بیت حورون را با نواحی آن، یعنی چهار شهر. | ۲۲ |
23 and out of the tribe of Dan, Eltekeh and its suburbs, Gibbethon and its suburbs,
| و از سبط دان التقی را با نواحی آن و جبتون را با نواحی آن. | ۲۳ |
24 Ajalon and its suburbs, Gath-Rimmon and its suburbs: four cities;
| و ایلون را با نواحی آن و جت رمون را با نواحی آن، یعنی چهار شهر. | ۲۴ |
25 and out of half the tribe of Manasseh, Taanach and its suburbs and Gath-Rimmon and its suburbs: two cities.
| و از نصف سبط منسی تعنک را با نواحی آن وجت رمون را با نواحی آن، یعنی دو شهر دادند. | ۲۵ |
26 All the cities were ten and their suburbs, for the families of the children of Kohath that remained.
| تمامی شهرهای قبایل بقیه بنی قهات با نواحی آنها ده بود. | ۲۶ |
27 And to the children of Gershon, of the families of the Levites, out of half the tribe of Manasseh, [they gave] the city of refuge for the slayer, Golan in Bashan and its suburbs; and Beeshterah and its suburbs: two cities;
| و به بنی جرشون که از قبایل لاویان بودند ازنصف سبط منسی جولان را در باشان که شهرملجای قاتلان است با نواحی آن و بعشتره را بانواحی آن، یعنی دو شهر دادند. | ۲۷ |
28 and out of the tribe of Issachar, Kishion and its suburbs, Dabrath and its suburbs,
| و از سبطیساکار قشیون را با نواحی آن و دابره را با نواحی آن. | ۲۸ |
29 Jarmuth and its suburbs, En-gannim and its suburbs: four cities;
| و یرموت را با نواحی آن و عین جنیم را بانواحی آن، یعنی چهار شهر. | ۲۹ |
30 and out of the tribe of Asher, Mishal and its suburbs, Abdon and its suburbs,
| و از سبط اشیرمشال را با نواحی آن و عبدون را با نواحی آن. | ۳۰ |
31 Helkath and its suburbs, and Rehob and its suburbs: four cities;
| و حلقات را با نواحی آن و رحوب را با نواحی آن، یعنی چهار شهر. | ۳۱ |
32 and out of the tribe of Naphtali, the city of refuge for the slayer, Kedesh in Galilee, and its suburbs; and Hammoth-Dor and its suburbs, and Kartan and its suburbs: three cities.
| و از سبط نفتالی قادش رادر جلیل که شهر ملجای قاتلان است با نواحی آن و حموت دور را با نواحی آن و قرتان را، یعنی سه شهر دادند. | ۳۲ |
33 All the cities of the Gershonites according to their families were thirteen cities and their suburbs.
| و تمامی شهرهای جرشونیان برحسب قبایل ایشان سیزده شهر بود با نواحی آنها. | ۳۳ |
34 And to the families of the children of Merari, that remained of the Levites, [they gave] out of the tribe of Zebulun, Jokneam and its suburbs, Kartah and its suburbs,
| و به قبایل بنی مراری که از لاویان باقی‌مانده بودند، از سبط زبولون یقنعام را با نواحی آن و قرته را با نواحی آن. | ۳۴ |
35 Dimnah and its suburbs, Nahalal and its suburbs: four cities;
| و دمنه را با نواحی آن و نحلال را با نواحی، یعنی چهار شهر. | ۳۵ |
36 and out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer and its suburbs, and Jahzah and its suburbs,
| و از سبطروبین، باصر را با نواحی آن و یهصه را با نواحی آن. | ۳۶ |
37 Kedemoth and its suburbs, and Mephaath and its suburbs: four cities;
| و قدیموت را با نواحی آن و میفعه را بانواحی آن، یعنی چهار شهر. | ۳۷ |
38 and out of the tribe of Gad, the city of refuge for the slayer, Ramoth in Gilead and its suburbs; and Mahanaim and its suburbs,
| و از سبط جادراموت را در جلعاد که شهر ملجای قاتلان است بانواحی آن و محنایم را با نواحی آن. | ۳۸ |
39 Heshbon and its suburbs, Jaazer and its suburbs: four cities in all.
| و حشبون را با نواحی آن و یعزیر را با نواحی آن؛ همه این شهرها چهار می‌باشد. | ۳۹ |
40 [These were] all the cities of the children of Merari according to their families, which remained of the families of the Levites, and their lot was twelve cities.
| همه اینها شهرهای بنی مراری برحسب قبایل ایشان بود، یعنی بقیه قبایل لاویان و قرعه ایشان دوازده شهر بود. | ۴۰ |
41 All the cities of the Levites within the possession of the children of Israel were forty-eight cities and their suburbs.
| و جمیع شهرهای لاویان در میان ملک بنی‌اسرائیل چهل و هشت شهر با نواحی آنها بود. | ۴۱ |
42 Each one of these cities had its suburbs round about it: thus were all these cities.
| این شهرها هر یکی با نواحی آن به هر طرفش بود، و برای همه این شهرها چنین بود. | ۴۲ |
43 And Jehovah gave to Israel all the land which he swore to give unto their fathers; and they took possession of it, and dwelt in it.
| پس خداوند تمامی زمین را که برای پدران ایشان قسم خورده بود که به ایشان بدهد به اسرائیل داد، و آن را به تصرف آورده، در آن ساکن شدند. | ۴۳ |
44 And Jehovah gave them rest round about, according to all that he had sworn unto their fathers; and there stood not a man of all their enemies before them: Jehovah gave all their enemies into their hand.
| و خداوند ایشان را از هر طرف آرامی داد چنانکه به پدران ایشان قسم خورده بود، واحدی از دشمنان ایشان نتوانست با ایشان مقاومت نماید، زیرا که خداوند جمیع دشمنان ایشان را به‌دست ایشان سپرده بود. | ۴۴ |
45 There failed nothing of all the good things that Jehovah had spoken to the house of Israel: all came to pass.
| و از جمیع سخنان نیکویی که خداوند به خاندان اسرائیل گفته بود، سخنی به زمین نیفتاد بلکه همه واقع شد. | ۴۵ |
