Joshua 15
1 And the lot of the tribe of the children of Judah according to their families was: to the border of Edom, the wilderness of Zin, southward, in the extreme south.
La parte que le tocó en suerte a la tribu de los hijos de Judá, según sus familias, iba hacia el límite de Edom, hacia el desierto de Zin al extremo sur.
2 And their southern border was from the end of the salt sea, from the tongue that turns southward;
Su límite por el lado sur iba desde la costa del mar Salado, desde la bahía que mira hacia el sur,
3 and it went out south of the ascent of Akrabbim, and passed on to Zin, and went up on the south of Kadesh-barnea, and passed to Hezron, and went up toward Addar, and turned toward Karkaah,
y seguía por el sur hacia la subida de Acrabim, pasaba hasta Zin, subía por el sur de Cades Barnea y pasaba por Hebrón, y después de subir por Adar, volvía a Carca.
4 and passed on to Azmon, and went out by the torrent of Egypt; and the border ended at the sea. That shall be your border southward.
De allí pasaba a Asmón y seguía hasta el arroyo de Egipto, y terminaba en el mar. Éste les será el límite del sur.
5 — And the eastern border was the salt sea as far as the end of the Jordan. — And the border on the north side was from the tongue of the salt sea, at the end of the Jordan;
El límite oriental era el mar Salado hasta la desembocadura del Jordán. El límite del norte era desde la costa del mar en la desembocadura del Jordán,
6 and the border went up toward Beth-hoglah, and passed north of Beth-Arabah; and the border went up to the stone of Bohan, the son of Reuben;
y el lindero subía a Bet-hogla, pasaba al norte de Bet-arabá y subía hasta la piedra de Bohán, hijo de Rubén.
7 and the border went up toward Debir from the valley of Achor, and turned northward to Gilgal, which is opposite to the ascent of Adummim, which is on the south side of the torrent; and the border passed to the waters of En-shemesh, and ended at En-rogel;
El lindero subía después desde el valle de Acor hasta Debir, y por el norte volvía hacia Gilgal, que se encuentra frente a la subida de Adumim, situada al lado sur del valle. Después el límite pasaba por las aguas de En-semes, y terminaba en En-rogel.
8 and the border went up to the valley of the son of Hinnom, toward the south side of the Jebusite, that is, Jerusalem; and the border went up to the top of the mountain that is before the valley of Hinnom westward, which is at the end of the valley of Rephaim northward;
El lindero subía por el valle del hijo de Hinom, en el lado sur de donde estaban los jebuseos, es decir, Jerusalén, y subía a la cumbre de la montaña que está delante del valle de Hinom hacia el occidente, en el extremo norte del valle de Refaim.
9 and the border reached along from the top of the mountain toward the spring of the waters of Nephtoah, and went out toward the cities of mount Ephron; and the border reached along to Baalah, that is, Kirjath-jearim;
Desde la cumbre de la montaña el límite volvía hasta la fuente de las aguas de Neftoa, y salía a las ciudades de la montaña Efrón, luego rodeaba a Baala, la cual es Quiriat-jearim.
10 and the border turned from Baalah westwards toward mount Seir, and passed toward the side of Har-jearim, that is, Chesalon, northwards, and went down to Beth-shemesh, and passed Timnah.
De Baala el límite giraba al occidente hasta la montaña Seír, y pasaba por la ladera de la montaña Jearim, por el norte, que es Quesalón, y descendía a Bet-semes, y pasaba a Timná.
11 And the border went out to the side of Ekron northwards, and the border reached along toward Shicron, and passed mount Baalah, and went toward Jabneel; and the border ended at the sea.
Después la línea partía hacia la ladera de Ecrón, al norte, y giraba hacia Sicrón y después de pasar por la montaña Baala, salía a Jabneel, y el límite terminaba en el mar.
12 — And the west border is the great sea and [its] coast. This is the border of the children of Judah round about, according to their families.
El límite occidental era el mar Grande. Estos son los límites alrededor de los hijos de Judá, según sus familias.
13 And to Caleb the son of Jephunneh he gave a portion among the children of Judah according to the commandment of Jehovah to Joshua, the city of Arba, the father of Anak, that is, Hebron.
Pero a Caleb, hijo de Jefone, le dio su porción entre los hijos de Judá, conforme a la Palabra de Yavé [dada] a Josué, la ciudad de Arba, padre de Anac, la cual es Hebrón.
14 And thence Caleb dispossessed the three sons of Anak, Sheshai and Ahiman and Talmai, who were born of Anak.
Caleb echó de allí a tres de los hijos de Anac: a Sesai, Aimán y Talmai, descendientes de Anac.
15 And from there he went up against the inhabitants of Debir; now the name of Debir before was Kirjath-sepher.
De allí subió contra los habitantes de Debir. Antiguamente el nombre de Debir era Quiriat-séfer.
16 And Caleb said, He that smites Kirjath-sepher and takes it, to him will I give Achsah my daughter as wife.
Entonces Caleb dijo: Al que ataque a Quiriat-sefer, y la conquiste, le daré a mi hija Acsa como esposa.
17 And Othniel the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, took it; and he gave him Achsah his daughter as wife.
Otoniel, hijo de Cenaz, hermano de Caleb, la conquistó. Y él le dio como esposa a su hija Acsa.
18 And it came to pass as she came, that she urged him to ask of her father a field; and she sprang down from the ass. And Caleb said to her, What wouldest thou?
Aconteció que cuando la llevaba, él la incitó a que pidiera a su padre un campo. Ella desmontó del asno, por lo cual Caleb le dijo: ¿Qué quieres?
19 And she said, Give me a blessing; for thou hast given me a southern land; give me also springs of water. Then he gave her the upper springs and the lower springs.
Ella entonces respondió: Dame una bendición. Porque me diste una tierra de sequedal, dame también fuentes de agua. Y él le dio las fuentes de arriba y las fuentes de abajo.
20 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Judah according to their families.
Esta es la heredad de la tribu de los hijos de Judá, según sus familias.
21 The cities at the extremity of the tribe of the children of Judah, toward the border of Edom in the south, were: Kabzeel, and Eder, and Jagur,
Las ciudades en el extremo sur de la tribu de los hijos de Judá, hacia el límite de Edom, fueron Cabseel, Eder, Jagur,
22 and Kinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah,
Cina, Dimona, Adada,
23 and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Jithnan,
Cedes, Hazor, Itnán,
24 Ziph, and Telem, and Bealoth,
Zif, Telem, Bealot,
25 and Hazor-hadattah, and Kerioth-Hezron, that is Hazor,
Hazor-hadata, Queriot, Hesrón (que es Hazor),
26 Amam, and Shema, and Molada,
Amam, Sema, Molada,
27 and Hazar-gaddah, and Heshmon, and Beth-Pelet,

33 — In the lowland: Eshtaol, and Zoreah, and Ashnah,

35 Jarmuth and Adullam, Sochoh and Azekah,
Jerimut, Adulam, Soco, Azeca,
36 and Shaaraim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, and Gederothaim: fourteen cities and their hamlets.
Saraim, Aditaim, Gedera y Gederotaim: 14 ciudades con sus aldeas.
37 Zenan, and Hadashah, and Migdal-Gad,
Zenán, Hadasa, Migdal-gad,
38 and Dilean, and Mizpeh, and Joktheel,
Dileán, Mizpa, Jocteel,
39 Lachish, and Bozkath, and Eglon,
Laquis, Boscat, Eglón,
40 and Cabbon, and Lahmas, and Chithlish,
Cabón, Lahmam, Quitlis,
41 and Gederoth, Beth-Dagon, and Naamah, and Makkedah: sixteen cities and their hamlets.

42 Libna, and Ether, and Ashan,

Queila, Aczib y Maresa: nueve ciudades con sus aldeas.
45 Ekron and its dependent villages and its hamlets.
Ecrón con sus villas y sus aldeas.
46 From Ekron and westward all that are by the side of Ashdod, and their hamlets.
Desde Ecrón hasta el mar, todas las que están junto a Asdod, con sus aldeas.
47 Ashdod, its dependent villages and its hamlets; Gazah, its dependent villages and its hamlets, as far as the torrent of Egypt, and the great sea and [its] coast.
Asdod, sus villas y sus aldeas. Gaza, sus villas y sus aldeas hasta el río de Egipto y el mar Grande, con su territorio.
48 — And in the hill-country: Shamir, and Jattir, and Sochoh,
En la región montañosa: Samir, Jatir, Sucot,
49 and Dannah, and Kirjath-sannah, that is, Debir,
Dana, Quiriat-sana, que es Debir,
50 and Anab, and Eshtemoh, and Anim,
Anab, Estemó, Anim,
51 and Goshen, and Holon, and Giloh: eleven cities and their hamlets.
Gosén, Holón y Gilo: 11 ciudades con sus aldeas.
52 Arab, and Dumah, and Eshan,
Arab, Duma, Esán,
53 and Janum, and Beth-Tappuah, and Aphekah,
Janum, Bet-tapúa, Afeca,
54 and Humtah, and Kirjath-Arba, that is, Hebron, and Zior: nine cities and their hamlets.

55 Maon, Carmel, and Ziph, and Jutah,

56 and Jizreel, and Jokdeam, and Zanoah,

57 Kain, Gibeah and Timnah: ten cities and their hamlets.
Caín, Gabaa y Timná: diez ciudades con sus aldeas.
58 Halhul, Beth-Zur, and Gedor,

59 and Maarath, and Beth-anoth, and Eltekon: six cities and their hamlets.
Maarat, Bet-anot y Eltecón: seis ciudades con sus aldeas.
60 Kirjath-Baal, that is, Kirjath-jearim, and Rabbah: two cities and their hamlets.
Quiriat-baal, que es Quiriat-jearim, y Rabá: dos ciudades con sus aldeas.
61 — In the wilderness: Beth-Arabah, Middin, and Secacah,
En el desierto: Bet-arabá, Midín, Secaca,
62 and Nibshan, and Ir-Hammelah, and En-gedi: six cities and their hamlets.
Nibsán, la Ciudad de la Sal, y En-guedi: seis ciudades con sus aldeas.
63 But as for the Jebusites, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the children of Judah could not dispossess them; and the Jebusites dwell with the children of Judah at Jerusalem to this day.
Pero los hijos de Judá no pudieron echar a los jebuseos que habitaban en Jerusalén. Así que los jebuseos viven con los hijos de Judá en Jerusalén hasta hoy.
