Jonah 3
1 And the word of Jehovah came unto Jonah the second time, saying,
Кувынтул Домнулуй а ворбит а доуа оарэ луй Иона астфел:
2 Arise, go to Nineveh, the great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I shall bid thee.
„Скоалэ-те, ду-те ла Ниниве, четатя чя маре, ши вестеште аколо стригаря пе каре ць-о вой да!”
3 And Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the word of Jehovah. Now Nineveh was an exceeding great city of three days' journey.
Ши Иона с-а скулат ши с-а дус ла Ниниве, дупэ Кувынтул Домнулуй. Ши Ниниве ера о четате фоарте маре, кыт о кэлэторие де трей зиле.
4 And Jonah began to enter into the city a day's journey, and he cried and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown!
Иона а ынчепут сэ пэтрундэ ын ораш кале де о зи, стригынд ши зикынд: „Ынкэ патрузечь де зиле, ши Ниниве ва фи нимичитэ!”
5 And the men of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.
Оамений дин Ниниве ау крезут ын Думнезеу, ау вестит ун пост ши с-ау ымбрэкат ку сачь, де ла чей май марь пынэ ла чей май мичь.
6 And the word reached the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and laid his robe from him, and covered himself with sackcloth, and sat in ashes.
Лукрул а ажунс ла урекя ымпэратулуй дин Ниниве; ел с-а скулат де пе скаунул луй де домние, шь-а скос мантия де пе ел, с-а акоперит ку ун сак ши а шезут ын ченушэ.
7 And he caused it to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste anything: let them not feed, nor drink water;
Ши а тримис сэ се дя де штире ын Ниниве, дин порунка ымпэратулуй ши май-марилор луй, урмэтоареле: „Оамений ши вителе, боий ши оиле сэ ну густе нимик, сэ ну паскэ ши нич сэ ну бя апэ делок!
8 and let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God; and let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands.
Чи оамений ши вителе сэ се акопере ку сачь, сэ стриӂе ку путере кэтре Думнезеу ши сэ се ынтоаркэ де ла каля лор чя ря ши де ла фаптеле де асуприре де каре ле сунт плине мыниле!
9 Who knoweth but that God will turn and repent, and will turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not?
Чине штие дакэ ну Се ва ынтоарче Думнезеу ши Се ва кэй ши дакэ ну-Шь ва опри мыния Луй апринсэ, ка сэ ну перим!”
10 And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil that he had said he would do unto them, and he did [it] not.
Думнезеу а вэзут че фэчяу ей ши кэ се ынторчяу де ла каля лор чя ря. Атунч, Думнезеу С-а кэит де рэул пе каре Се хотэрысе сэ ли-л факэ ши ну л-а фэкут.
