John 1
1 In [the] beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
ਆਦੌ ਵਾਦ ਆਸੀਤ੍ ਸ ਚ ਵਾਦ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰੇਣ ਸਾਰ੍ਧਮਾਸੀਤ੍ ਸ ਵਾਦਃ ਸ੍ਵਯਮੀਸ਼੍ਵਰ ਏਵ|
2 He was in the beginning with God.
ਸ ਆਦਾਵੀਸ਼੍ਵਰੇਣ ਸਹਾਸੀਤ੍|
3 All things received being through him, and without him not one [thing] received being which has received being.
ਤੇਨ ਸਰ੍ੱਵੰ ਵਸ੍ਤੁ ਸਸ੍ਰੁʼਜੇ ਸਰ੍ੱਵੇਸ਼਼ੁ ਸ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟਵਸ੍ਤੁਸ਼਼ੁ ਕਿਮਪਿ ਵਸ੍ਤੁ ਤੇਨਾਸ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟੰ ਨਾਸ੍ਤਿ|
4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men.
ਸ ਜੀਵਨਸ੍ਯਾਕਾਰਃ, ਤੱਚ ਜੀਵਨੰ ਮਨੁਸ਼਼੍ਯਾਣਾਂ ਜ੍ਯੋਤਿਃ
5 And the light appears in darkness, and the darkness apprehended it not.
ਤੱਜ੍ਯੋਤਿਰਨ੍ਧਕਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਚਕਾਸ਼ੇ ਕਿਨ੍ਤ੍ਵਨ੍ਧਕਾਰਸ੍ਤੰਨ ਜਗ੍ਰਾਹ|
6 There was a man sent from God, his name John.
ਯੋਹਨ੍ ਨਾਮਕ ਏਕੋ ਮਨੁਜ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰੇਣ ਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼਼ਯਾਞ੍ਚਕ੍ਰੇ|
7 He came for witness, that he might witness concerning the light, that all might believe through him.
ਤਦ੍ਵਾਰਾ ਯਥਾ ਸਰ੍ੱਵੇ ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਸਨ੍ਤਿ ਤਦਰ੍ਥੰ ਸ ਤੱਜ੍ਯੋਤਿਸ਼਼ਿ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣੰ ਦਾਤੁੰ ਸਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਿਸ੍ਵਰੂਪੋ ਭੂਤ੍ਵਾਗਮਤ੍,
8 He was not the light, but that he might witness concerning the light.
ਸ ਸ੍ਵਯੰ ਤੱਜ੍ਯੋਤਿ ਰ੍ਨ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਤੱਜ੍ਯੋਤਿਸ਼਼ਿ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣੰ ਦਾਤੁਮਾਗਮਤ੍|
9 The true light was that which, coming into the world, lightens every man.
ਜਗਤ੍ਯਾਗਤ੍ਯ ਯਃ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਮਨੁਜੇਭ੍ਯੋ ਦੀਪ੍ਤਿੰ ਦਦਾਤਿ ਤਦੇਵ ਸਤ੍ਯਜ੍ਯੋਤਿਃ|
10 He was in the world, and the world had [its] being through him, and the world knew him not.
ਸ ਯੱਜਗਦਸ੍ਰੁʼਜਤ੍ ਤਨ੍ਮਦ੍ਯ ਏਵ ਸ ਆਸੀਤ੍ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਜਗਤੋ ਲੋਕਾਸ੍ਤੰ ਨਾਜਾਨਨ੍|
11 He came to his own, and his own received him not;
ਨਿਜਾਧਿਕਾਰੰ ਸ ਆਗੱਛਤ੍ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਪ੍ਰਜਾਸ੍ਤੰ ਨਾਗ੍ਰੁʼਹ੍ਲਨ੍|
12 but as many as received him, to them gave he [the] right to be children of God, to those that believe on his name;
ਤਥਾਪਿ ਯੇ ਯੇ ਤਮਗ੍ਰੁʼਹ੍ਲਨ੍ ਅਰ੍ਥਾਤ੍ ਤਸ੍ਯ ਨਾਮ੍ਨਿ ਵ੍ਯਸ਼੍ਵਸਨ੍ ਤੇਭ੍ਯ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯ ਪੁਤ੍ਰਾ ਭਵਿਤੁਮ੍ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਮ੍ ਅਦਦਾਤ੍|
13 who have been born, not of blood, nor of flesh's will, nor of man's will, but of God.
ਤੇਸ਼਼ਾਂ ਜਨਿਃ ਸ਼ੋਣਿਤਾੰਨ ਸ਼ਾਰੀਰਿਕਾਭਿਲਾਸ਼਼ਾੰਨ ਮਾਨਵਾਨਾਮਿੱਛਾਤੋ ਨ ਕਿਨ੍ਤ੍ਵੀਸ਼੍ਵਰਾਦਭਵਤ੍|
14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us (and we have contemplated his glory, a glory as of an only-begotten with a father), full of grace and truth;
ਸ ਵਾਦੋ ਮਨੁਸ਼਼੍ਯਰੂਪੇਣਾਵਤੀਰ੍ੱਯ ਸਤ੍ਯਤਾਨੁਗ੍ਰਹਾਭ੍ਯਾਂ ਪਰਿਪੂਰ੍ਣਃ ਸਨ੍ ਸਾਰ੍ਧਮ੍ ਅਸ੍ਮਾਭਿ ਰ੍ਨ੍ਯਵਸਤ੍ ਤਤਃ ਪਿਤੁਰਦ੍ਵਿਤੀਯਪੁਤ੍ਰਸ੍ਯ ਯੋਗ੍ਯੋ ਯੋ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਤੰ ਮਹਿਮਾਨੰ ਤਸ੍ਯਾਪਸ਼੍ਯਾਮ|
15 (John bears witness of him, and he has cried, saying, This was he of whom I said, He that comes after me is preferred before me, for he was before me; )
ਤਤੋ ਯੋਹਨਪਿ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ੍ੱਯ ਸਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਮਿਦੰ ਦੱਤਵਾਨ੍ ਯੋ ਮਮ ਪਸ਼੍ਚਾਦ੍ ਆਗਮਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ ਸ ਮੱਤੋ ਗੁਰੁਤਰਃ; ਯਤੋ ਮਤ੍ਪੂਰ੍ੱਵੰ ਸ ਵਿਦ੍ਯਮਾਨ ਆਸੀਤ੍; ਯਦਰ੍ਥਮ੍ ਅਹੰ ਸਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਮਿਦਮ੍ ਅਦਾਂ ਸ ਏਸ਼਼ਃ|
16 for of his fulness we all have received, and grace upon grace.
ਅਪਰਞ੍ਚ ਤਸ੍ਯ ਪੂਰ੍ਣਤਾਯਾ ਵਯੰ ਸਰ੍ੱਵੇ ਕ੍ਰਮਸ਼ਃ ਕ੍ਰਮਸ਼ੋਨੁਗ੍ਰਹੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਤਾਃ|
17 For the law was given by Moses: grace and truth subsists through Jesus Christ.
ਮੂਸਾਦ੍ਵਾਰਾ ਵ੍ਯਵਸ੍ਥਾ ਦੱਤਾ ਕਿਨ੍ਤ੍ਵਨੁਗ੍ਰਹਃ ਸਤ੍ਯਤ੍ਵਞ੍ਚ ਯੀਸ਼ੁਖ੍ਰੀਸ਼਼੍ਟਦ੍ਵਾਰਾ ਸਮੁਪਾਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਤਾਂ|
18 No one has seen God at any time; the only-begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared [him].
ਕੋਪਿ ਮਨੁਜ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰੰ ਕਦਾਪਿ ਨਾਪਸ਼੍ਯਤ੍ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਪਿਤੁਃ ਕ੍ਰੋਡਸ੍ਥੋ(ਅ)ਦ੍ਵਿਤੀਯਃ ਪੁਤ੍ਰਸ੍ਤੰ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਯਤ੍|
19 And this is the witness of John, when the Jews sent from Jerusalem priests and Levites that they might ask him, Thou, who art thou?
ਤ੍ਵੰ ਕਃ? ਇਤਿ ਵਾਕ੍ਯੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼਼੍ਟੁੰ ਯਦਾ ਯਿਹੂਦੀਯਲੋਕਾ ਯਾਜਕਾਨ੍ ਲੇਵਿਲੋਕਾਂਸ਼੍ਚ ਯਿਰੂਸ਼ਾਲਮੋ ਯੋਹਨਃ ਸਮੀਪੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼਼ਯਾਮਾਸੁਃ,
20 And he acknowledged and denied not, and acknowledged, I am not the Christ.
ਤਦਾ ਸ ਸ੍ਵੀਕ੍ਰੁʼਤਵਾਨ੍ ਨਾਪਹ੍ਨੂਤਵਾਨ੍ ਨਾਹਮ੍ ਅਭਿਸ਼਼ਿਕ੍ਤ ਇਤ੍ਯਙ੍ਗੀਕ੍ਰੁʼਤਵਾਨ੍|
21 And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he says, I am not. Art thou the prophet? And he answered, No.
ਤਦਾ ਤੇ(ਅ)ਪ੍ਰੁʼੱਛਨ੍ ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਕੋ ਭਵਾਨ੍? ਕਿੰ ਏਲਿਯਃ? ਸੋਵਦਤ੍ ਨ; ਤਤਸ੍ਤੇ(ਅ)ਪ੍ਰੁʼੱਛਨ੍ ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਭਵਾਨ੍ ਸ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਦ੍ਵਾਦੀ? ਸੋਵਦਤ੍ ਨਾਹੰ ਸਃ|
22 They said therefore to him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to those who sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?
ਤਦਾ ਤੇ(ਅ)ਪ੍ਰੁʼੱਛਨ੍ ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਭਵਾਨ੍ ਕਃ? ਵਯੰ ਗਤ੍ਵਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਕਾਨ੍ ਤ੍ਵਯਿ ਕਿੰ ਵਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਾਮਃ? ਸ੍ਵਸ੍ਮਿਨ੍ ਕਿੰ ਵਦਸਿ?
23 He said, I [am] [the] voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the path of [the] Lord, as said Esaias the prophet.
ਤਦਾ ਸੋਵਦਤ੍| ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ਸ੍ਯ ਪਨ੍ਥਾਨੰ ਪਰਿਸ਼਼੍ਕੁਰੁਤ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਤਃ| ਇਤੀਦੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ੍ਤਰੇ ਵਾਕ੍ਯੰ ਵਦਤਃ ਕਸ੍ਯਚਿਦ੍ਰਵਃ| ਕਥਾਮਿਮਾਂ ਯਸ੍ਮਿਨ੍ ਯਿਸ਼ਯਿਯੋ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਦ੍ਵਾਦੀ ਲਿਖਿਤਵਾਨ੍ ਸੋਹਮ੍|
24 And they were sent from among the Pharisees.
ਯੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼਼ਿਤਾਸ੍ਤੇ ਫਿਰੂਸ਼ਿਲੋਕਾਃ|
25 And they asked him and said to him, Why baptisest thou then, if thou art not the Christ, nor Elias, nor the prophet?
ਤਦਾ ਤੇ(ਅ)ਪ੍ਰੁʼੱਛਨ੍ ਯਦਿ ਨਾਭਿਸ਼਼ਿਕ੍ਤੋਸਿ ਏਲਿਯੋਸਿ ਨ ਸ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਦ੍ਵਾਦ੍ਯਪਿ ਨਾਸਿ ਚ, ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਲੋਕਾਨ੍ ਮੱਜਯਸਿ ਕੁਤਃ?
26 John answered them saying, I baptise with water. In the midst of you stands, whom ye do not know,
ਤਤੋ ਯੋਹਨ੍ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯਵੋਚਤ੍, ਤੋਯੇ(ਅ)ਹੰ ਮੱਜਯਾਮੀਤਿ ਸਤ੍ਯੰ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਯੰ ਯੂਯੰ ਨ ਜਾਨੀਥ ਤਾਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼ ਏਕੋ ਜਨੋ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕੰ ਮਧ੍ਯ ਉਪਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਤਿ|
27 he who comes after me, the thong of whose sandal I am not worthy to unloose.
ਸ ਮਤ੍ਪਸ਼੍ਚਾਦ੍ ਆਗਤੋਪਿ ਮਤ੍ਪੂਰ੍ੱਵੰ ਵਰ੍ੱਤਮਾਨ ਆਸੀਤ੍ ਤਸ੍ਯ ਪਾਦੁਕਾਬਨ੍ਧਨੰ ਮੋਚਯਿਤੁਮਪਿ ਨਾਹੰ ਯੋਗ੍ਯੋਸ੍ਮਿ|
28 These things took place in Bethany, across the Jordan, where John was baptising.
ਯਰ੍ੱਦਨਨਦ੍ਯਾਃ ਪਾਰਸ੍ਥਬੈਥਬਾਰਾਯਾਂ ਯਸ੍ਮਿਨ੍ਸ੍ਥਾਨੇ ਯੋਹਨਮੱਜਯਤ੍ ਤਸ੍ਮਿਨ ਸ੍ਥਾਨੇ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਮੇਤਦ੍ ਅਘਟਤ|
29 On the morrow he sees Jesus coming to him, and says, Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.
ਪਰੇ(ਅ)ਹਨਿ ਯੋਹਨ੍ ਸ੍ਵਨਿਕਟਮਾਗੱਛਨ੍ਤੰ ਯਿਸ਼ੁੰ ਵਿਲੋਕ੍ਯ ਪ੍ਰਾਵੋਚਤ੍ ਜਗਤਃ ਪਾਪਮੋਚਕਮ੍ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯ ਮੇਸ਼਼ਸ਼ਾਵਕੰ ਪਸ਼੍ਯਤ|
30 He it is of whom I said, A man comes after me who takes a place before me, because he was before me;
ਯੋ ਮਮ ਪਸ਼੍ਚਾਦਾਗਮਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ ਸ ਮੱਤੋ ਗੁਰੁਤਰਃ, ਯਤੋ ਹੇਤੋਰ੍ਮਤ੍ਪੂਰ੍ੱਵੰ ਸੋ(ਅ)ਵਰ੍ੱਤਤ ਯਸ੍ਮਿੰਨਹੰ ਕਥਾਮਿਮਾਂ ਕਥਿਤਵਾਨ੍ ਸ ਏਵਾਯੰ|
31 and I knew him not; but that he might be manifested to Israel, therefore have I come baptising with water.
ਅਪਰੰ ਨਾਹਮੇਨੰ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯਭਿਜ੍ਞਾਤਵਾਨ੍ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਇਸ੍ਰਾਯੇੱਲੋਕਾ ਏਨੰ ਯਥਾ ਪਰਿਚਿਨ੍ਵਨ੍ਤਿ ਤਦਭਿਪ੍ਰਾਯੇਣਾਹੰ ਜਲੇ ਮੱਜਯਿਤੁਮਾਗੱਛਮ੍|
32 And John bore witness, saying, I beheld the Spirit descending as a dove from heaven, and it abode upon him.
ਪੁਨਸ਼੍ਚ ਯੋਹਨਪਰਮੇਕੰ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣੰ ਦਤ੍ਵਾ ਕਥਿਤਵਾਨ੍ ਵਿਹਾਯਸਃ ਕਪੋਤਵਦ੍ ਅਵਤਰਨ੍ਤਮਾਤ੍ਮਾਨਮ੍ ਅਸ੍ਯੋਪਰ੍ੱਯਵਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਨ੍ਤੰ ਚ ਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟਵਾਨਹਮ੍|
33 And I knew him not; but he who sent me to baptise with water, he said to me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending and abiding on him, he it is who baptises with [the] Holy Spirit.
ਨਾਹਮੇਨੰ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯਭਿਜ੍ਞਾਤਵਾਨ੍ ਇਤਿ ਸਤ੍ਯੰ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਯੋ ਜਲੇ ਮੱਜਯਿਤੁੰ ਮਾਂ ਪ੍ਰੈਰਯਤ੍ ਸ ਏਵੇਮਾਂ ਕਥਾਮਕਥਯਤ੍ ਯਸ੍ਯੋਪਰ੍ੱਯਾਤ੍ਮਾਨਮ੍ ਅਵਤਰਨ੍ਤਮ੍ ਅਵਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਨ੍ਤਞ੍ਚ ਦ੍ਰਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਯਸਿ ਸਏਵ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰੇ ਆਤ੍ਮਨਿ ਮੱਜਯਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ|
34 And I have seen and borne witness that this is the Son of God.
ਅਵਸ੍ਤੰਨਿਰੀਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਾਯਮ੍ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯ ਤਨਯ ਇਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣੰ ਦਦਾਮਿ|
35 Again, on the morrow, there stood John and two of his disciples.
ਪਰੇ(ਅ)ਹਨਿ ਯੋਹਨ੍ ਦ੍ਵਾਭ੍ਯਾਂ ਸ਼ਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਾਭ੍ਯਾਂ ਸਾਰ੍ੱਧੇਂ ਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਨ੍
36 And, looking at Jesus as he walked, he says, Behold the Lamb of God.
ਯਿਸ਼ੁੰ ਗੱਛਨ੍ਤੰ ਵਿਲੋਕ੍ਯ ਗਦਿਤਵਾਨ੍, ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯ ਮੇਸ਼਼ਸ਼ਾਵਕੰ ਪਸ਼੍ਯਤੰ|
37 And the two disciples heard him speaking, and followed Jesus.
ਇਮਾਂ ਕਥਾਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੁਤ੍ਵਾ ਦ੍ਵੌ ਸ਼ਿਸ਼਼੍ਯੌ ਯੀਸ਼ੋਃ ਪਸ਼੍ਚਾਦ੍ ਈਯਤੁਃ|
38 But Jesus having turned, and seeing them following, says to them, What seek ye? And they said to him, Rabbi (which, being interpreted, signifies Teacher), where abidest thou?
ਤਤੋ ਯੀਸ਼ੁਃ ਪਰਾਵ੍ਰੁʼਤ੍ਯ ਤੌ ਪਸ਼੍ਚਾਦ੍ ਆਗੱਛਨ੍ਤੌ ਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟ੍ਵਾ ਪ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟਵਾਨ੍ ਯੁਵਾਂ ਕਿੰ ਗਵੇਸ਼ਯਥਃ? ਤਾਵਪ੍ਰੁʼੱਛਤਾਂ ਹੇ ਰੱਬਿ ਅਰ੍ਥਾਤ੍ ਹੇ ਗੁਰੋ ਭਵਾਨ੍ ਕੁਤ੍ਰ ਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਤਿ?
39 He says to them, Come and see. They went therefore, and saw where he abode; and they abode with him that day. It was about the tenth hour.
ਤਤਃ ਸੋਵਾਦਿਤ੍ ਏਤ੍ਯ ਪਸ਼੍ਯਤੰ| ਤਤੋ ਦਿਵਸਸ੍ਯ ਤ੍ਰੁʼਤੀਯਪ੍ਰਹਰਸ੍ਯ ਗਤਤ੍ਵਾਤ੍ ਤੌ ਤੱਦਿਨੰ ਤਸ੍ਯ ਸਙ੍ਗੇ(ਅ)ਸ੍ਥਾਤਾਂ|
40 Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter, was one of the two who heard [this] from John and followed him.
ਯੌ ਦ੍ਵੌ ਯੋਹਨੋ ਵਾਕ੍ਯੰ ਸ਼੍ਰੁਤ੍ਵਾ ਯਿਸ਼ੋਃ ਪਸ਼੍ਚਾਦ੍ ਆਗਮਤਾਂ ਤਯੋਃ ਸ਼ਿਮੋਨ੍ਪਿਤਰਸ੍ਯ ਭ੍ਰਾਤਾ ਆਨ੍ਦ੍ਰਿਯਃ
41 He first finds his own brother Simon, and says to him, We have found the Messias (which being interpreted is Christ).
ਸ ਇਤ੍ਵਾ ਪ੍ਰਥਮੰ ਨਿਜਸੋਦਰੰ ਸ਼ਿਮੋਨੰ ਸਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਾਤ੍ਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਯ ਕਥਿਤਵਾਨ੍ ਵਯੰ ਖ੍ਰੀਸ਼਼੍ਟਮ੍ ਅਰ੍ਥਾਤ੍ ਅਭਿਸ਼਼ਿਕ੍ਤਪੁਰੁਸ਼਼ੰ ਸਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਾਤ੍ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤਵਨ੍ਤਃ|
42 And he led him to Jesus. Jesus looking at him said, Thou art Simon, the son of Jonas; thou shalt be called Cephas (which interpreted is stone).
ਪਸ਼੍ਚਾਤ੍ ਸ ਤੰ ਯਿਸ਼ੋਃ ਸਮੀਪਮ੍ ਆਨਯਤ੍| ਤਦਾ ਯੀਸ਼ੁਸ੍ਤੰ ਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟ੍ਵਾਵਦਤ੍ ਤ੍ਵੰ ਯੂਨਸਃ ਪੁਤ੍ਰਃ ਸ਼ਿਮੋਨ੍ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਤ੍ਵੰਨਾਮਧੇਯੰ ਕੈਫਾਃ ਵਾ ਪਿਤਰਃ ਅਰ੍ਥਾਤ੍ ਪ੍ਰਸ੍ਤਰੋ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ|
43 On the morrow he would go forth into Galilee, and Jesus finds Philip, and says to him, Follow me.
ਪਰੇ(ਅ)ਹਨਿ ਯੀਸ਼ੌ ਗਾਲੀਲੰ ਗਨ੍ਤੁੰ ਨਿਸ਼੍ਚਿਤਚੇਤਸਿ ਸਤਿ ਫਿਲਿਪਨਾਮਾਨੰ ਜਨੰ ਸਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਾਤ੍ਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਯਾਵੋਚਤ੍ ਮਮ ਪਸ਼੍ਚਾਦ੍ ਆਗੱਛ|
44 And Philip was from Bethsaida, of the city of Andrew and Peter.
ਬੈਤ੍ਸੈਦਾਨਾਮ੍ਨਿ ਯਸ੍ਮਿਨ੍ ਗ੍ਰਾਮੇ ਪਿਤਰਾਨ੍ਦ੍ਰਿਯਯੋਰ੍ਵਾਸ ਆਸੀਤ੍ ਤਸ੍ਮਿਨ੍ ਗ੍ਰਾਮੇ ਤਸ੍ਯ ਫਿਲਿਪਸ੍ਯ ਵਸਤਿਰਾਸੀਤ੍|
45 Philip finds Nathanael, and says to him, We have found him of whom Moses wrote in the law, and the prophets, Jesus, the son of Joseph, who is from Nazareth.
ਪਸ਼੍ਚਾਤ੍ ਫਿਲਿਪੋ ਨਿਥਨੇਲੰ ਸਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਾਤ੍ਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਯਾਵਦਤ੍ ਮੂਸਾ ਵ੍ਯਵਸ੍ਥਾ ਗ੍ਰਨ੍ਥੇ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਦ੍ਵਾਦਿਨਾਂ ਗ੍ਰਨ੍ਥੇਸ਼਼ੁ ਚ ਯਸ੍ਯਾਖ੍ਯਾਨੰ ਲਿਖਿਤਮਾਸ੍ਤੇ ਤੰ ਯੂਸ਼਼ਫਃ ਪੁਤ੍ਰੰ ਨਾਸਰਤੀਯੰ ਯੀਸ਼ੁੰ ਸਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਾਦ੍ ਅਕਾਰ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਮ ਵਯੰ|
46 And Nathanael said to him, Can anything good come out of Nazareth? Philip says to him, Come and see.
ਤਦਾ ਨਿਥਨੇਲ੍ ਕਥਿਤਵਾਨ੍ ਨਾਸਰੰਨਗਰਾਤ ਕਿੰ ਕਸ਼੍ਚਿਦੁੱਤਮ ਉਤ੍ਪਨ੍ਤੁੰ ਸ਼ਕ੍ਨੋਤਿ? ਤਤਃ ਫਿਲਿਪੋ (ਅ)ਵੋਚਤ੍ ਏਤ੍ਯ ਪਸ਼੍ਯ|
47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and says of him, Behold [one] truly an Israelite, in whom there is no guile.
ਅਪਰਞ੍ਚ ਯੀਸ਼ੁਃ ਸ੍ਵਸ੍ਯ ਸਮੀਪੰ ਤਮ੍ ਆਗੱਛਨ੍ਤੰ ਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟ੍ਵਾ ਵ੍ਯਾਹ੍ਰੁʼਤਵਾਨ੍, ਪਸ਼੍ਯਾਯੰ ਨਿਸ਼਼੍ਕਪਟਃ ਸਤ੍ਯ ਇਸ੍ਰਾਯੇੱਲੋਕਃ|
48 Nathanael says to him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said to him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig-tree, I saw thee.
ਤਤਃ ਸੋਵਦਦ੍, ਭਵਾਨ੍ ਮਾਂ ਕਥੰ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯਭਿਜਾਨਾਤਿ? ਯੀਸ਼ੁਰਵਾਦੀਤ੍ ਫਿਲਿਪਸ੍ਯ ਆਹ੍ਵਾਨਾਤ੍ ਪੂਰ੍ੱਵੰ ਯਦਾ ਤ੍ਵਮੁਡੁਮ੍ਬਰਸ੍ਯ ਤਰੋਰ੍ਮੂਲੇ(ਅ)ਸ੍ਥਾਸ੍ਤਦਾ ਤ੍ਵਾਮਦਰ੍ਸ਼ਮ੍|
49 Nathanael answered and said to him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God, thou art the King of Israel.
ਨਿਥਨੇਲ੍ ਅਚਕਥਤ੍, ਹੇ ਗੁਰੋ ਭਵਾਨ੍ ਨਿਤਾਨ੍ਤਮ੍ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯ ਪੁਤ੍ਰੋਸਿ, ਭਵਾਨ੍ ਇਸ੍ਰਾਯੇਲ੍ਵੰਸ਼ਸ੍ਯ ਰਾਜਾ|
50 Jesus answered and said to him, Because I said to thee, I saw thee under the fig-tree, believest thou? Thou shalt see greater things than these.
ਤਤੋ ਯੀਸ਼ੁ ਰ੍ਵ੍ਯਾਹਰਤ੍, ਤ੍ਵਾਮੁਡੁਮ੍ਬਰਸ੍ਯ ਪਾਦਪਸ੍ਯ ਮੂਲੇ ਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟਵਾਨਾਹੰ ਮਮੈਤਸ੍ਮਾਦ੍ਵਾਕ੍ਯਾਤ੍ ਕਿੰ ਤ੍ਵੰ ਵ੍ਯਸ਼੍ਵਸੀਃ? ਏਤਸ੍ਮਾਦਪ੍ਯਾਸ਼੍ਚਰ੍ੱਯਾਣਿ ਕਾਰ੍ੱਯਾਣਿ ਦ੍ਰਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਸਿ|
51 And he says to him, Verily, verily, I say to you, Henceforth ye shall see the heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of man.
ਅਨ੍ਯੱਚਾਵਾਦੀਦ੍ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਨਹੰ ਯਥਾਰ੍ਥੰ ਵਦਾਮਿ, ਇਤਃ ਪਰੰ ਮੋਚਿਤੇ ਮੇਘਦ੍ਵਾਰੇ ਤਸ੍ਮਾਨ੍ਮਨੁਜਸੂਨੁਨਾ ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯ ਦੂਤਗਣਮ੍ ਅਵਰੋਹਨ੍ਤਮਾਰੋਹਨ੍ਤਞ੍ਚ ਦ੍ਰਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਥ|
