John 8
1 But Jesus went to the mount of Olives.
১যীচু জৈতুন পৰ্বতলৈ গ’ল।
2 And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came to him; and he sat down and taught them.
২অতি ৰাতিপুৱাতে তেওঁ পুণৰ মন্দিৰলৈ আহিল; তেতিয়া সকলো মানুহ তেওঁৰ ওচৰলৈ অহাত তেওঁ বহি তেওঁলোকক উপদেশ দিবলৈ ধৰিলে।
3 And the scribes and the Pharisees bring [to him] a woman taken in adultery, and having set her in the midst,
৩তেনেতে বিধানৰ অধ্যাপক আৰু ফৰীচী সকলে ব্যভিচাৰ কৰ্মত ধৰা এগৰাকী মহিলাক আনি তেওঁলোকৰ মাজত থলে।
4 they say to him, Teacher, this woman has been taken in the very act, committing adultery.
৪তেওঁলোকে যীচুক সুধিলে, “হে গুৰু, এই মহিলা গৰাকী ব্যভিচাৰ কৰ্ম কৰোঁতেই ধৰা পৰিল।
5 Now in the law Moses has commanded us to stone such; thou therefore, what sayest thou?
৫এতিয়া, মোচিৰ বিধানত আমাক আজ্ঞা দিছে যে, এনে মহিলাক শিল দলিয়াই মাৰিব লাগে। এনে স্থলত আপুনি তাইৰ বিষয়ে কি কয়?”
6 But this they said proving him, that they might have [something] to accuse him [of]. But Jesus, having stooped down, wrote with his finger on the ground.
৬এই কথা তেওঁলোকে যীচুক পৰীক্ষা কৰিবলৈ ক’লে, যাতে তেওঁৰ নামত দোষাৰোপ কৰিবলৈ কিবা সূত্র পাব পাৰে। কিন্তু যীচুৱে তললৈ মুৰ কৰি আঙুলিৰে মাটিত লিখিবলৈ ধৰিলে।
7 But when they continued asking him, he lifted himself up and said to them, Let him that is without sin among you first cast the stone at her.
৭কিন্তু তেওঁলোকে যেতিয়া বাৰে বাৰে তেওঁক সুধিবলৈ ধৰিলে, তেওঁ মূৰ দাঙি তেওঁলোকক ক’লে, “আপোনালোকৰ মাজত যি জন নিষ্পাপী, তেৱেঁই প্ৰথমে তাইলৈ শিল দলিয়াওক।”
8 And again stooping down he wrote on the ground.
৮পাছত তেওঁ পুণৰ বাৰ তললৈ মূৰ কৰি মাটিত আঙুলিৰে লিখিব ধৰিলে।
9 But they, having heard [that], went out one by one beginning from the elder ones until the last; and Jesus was left alone and the woman standing there.
৯এই কথা শুনি তেওঁলোকৰ বয়সীয়া সকলৰ পৰা আৰম্ভ কৰি শেষৰ জনলৈকে এজন এজনকৈ সকলো বাহিৰলৈ ওলাই গ’ল৷ অৱশেষত কেৱল যীচু আৰু তেওঁলোকৰ মাজত থিয় হৈ থকা সেই মহিলা গৰাকীহে সেই ঠাইত থাকিল।
10 And Jesus, lifting himself up and seeing no one but the woman, said to her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? Has no one condemned thee?
১০যীচুৱে উঠি সেই মহিলা গৰাকীক সুধিলে, “হে নাৰী, তোমাক অপবাদ দিয়া সকল ক’ত গ’ল? তোমাক কোনেও দোষী নকৰিলে নেকি?”
11 And she said, No one, sir. And Jesus said to her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
১১তাই ক’লে, “নাই, কোনেও নকৰিলে প্ৰভু।” যীচুৱে ক’লে, “ময়ো দোষী নকৰোঁ; যোৱা, এতিয়াৰ পৰা পুনৰ পাপ নকৰিবা।”
12 Again therefore Jesus spoke to them, saying, I am the light of the world; he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
১২ইয়াৰ পাছত যীচুৱে আকৌ লোক সকলৰ লগত কথা কবলৈ ধৰিলে, “মই জগতৰ পোহৰ; যি জন মোৰ পাছে পাছে আহে, তেওঁ আন্ধাৰত নুফুৰি, জীৱনৰ পোহৰ পাব।”
13 The Pharisees therefore said to him, Thou bearest witness concerning thyself; thy witness is not true.
১৩তেতিয়া ফৰীচী সকলে তেওঁক ক’লে, “তোমাৰ সাক্ষ্য সত্য নহয়, কাৰণ তুমি নিজে নিজৰ বিষয়ে সাক্ষ্য দিছা।”
14 Jesus answered and said to them, Even if I bear witness concerning myself, my witness is true, because I know whence I came and whither I go: but ye know not whence I come and whither I go.
১৪যীচুৱে উত্তৰ দি তেওঁলোকক ক’লে, “যদিও মই নিজৰ বিষয়ে নিজে সাক্ষ্য দিছোঁ, তথাপি মোৰ সাক্ষ্য সত্য; কিয়নো মই ক’ৰ পৰা আহিলোঁ, আৰু ক’লৈ গৈ আছোঁ, সেই বিষয়ে মই জানো; কিন্তু আপোনালোকে মই ক’ৰ পৰা আহিছোঁ, বা ক’লৈ যাওঁ সেই বিষয়ে নাজানে।
15 Ye judge according to the flesh, I judge no one.
১৫আপোনালোকে মাংসিক ভাব অনুসাৰে সোধ-বিচাৰ কৰিছে; মই এনেদৰে লোকৰ বিচাৰ নকৰোঁ।
16 And if also I judge, my judgment is true, because I am not alone, but I and the Father who has sent me.
১৬তথাপি যদি বিচাৰ কৰোঁ, তেনেহলে মোৰ সোধ-বিচাৰ সত্য; কিয়নো মই অকলশৰীয়া নহওঁ; মইতো আছোঁৱেই, আৰু মোক পঠোৱা পিতৃও আছে।
17 And in your law too it is written that the testimony of two men is true:
১৭আপোনালোকৰ বিধানত লিখা আছে, দুজনৰ সাক্ষ্য যদি একে হয়, তেনেহলে ই সত্য হয়।
18 I am [one] who bear witness concerning myself, and the Father who has sent me bears witness concerning me.
১৮মই নিজৰ বিষয়ে নিজে সাক্ষ্য দিছোঁ, আৰু মোক পঠোৱা পিতৃয়েও মোৰ বিষয়ে সাক্ষ্য দিছে।”
19 They said to him therefore, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye know neither me nor my Father. If ye had known me, ye would have known also my Father.
১৯তেতিয়া তেওঁলোকে যীচুক সুধিলে, “তোমাৰ পিতৃ ক’ত আছে?” যীচুৱে উত্তৰ দিলে, “আপোনালোকে মোকো নাজানে আৰু মোৰ পিতৃকো নাজানে; মোক জনা হ’লে মোৰ পিতৃকো জানিলেহেঁতেন।”
20 These words spoke he in the treasury, teaching in the temple; and no one took him, for his hour was not yet come.
২০মন্দিৰৰ ধনভঁৰালৰ কাষত থাকি শিক্ষা দিওঁতে তেওঁ এইবোৰ কথা ক’লে; তথাপি তেতিয়াও তেওঁৰ সময় উপস্থিত হোৱা নাই বাবে কোনেও তেওঁক বন্দী নকৰিলে।
21 He said therefore again to them, I go away, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sin; where I go ye cannot come.
২১পাছত তেওঁ আকৌ ফৰীচী সকলক ক’লে, “মই যাওঁ; আপোনালোকে মোক বিচাৰিব, কিন্তু আপোনালোক নিজ নিজ পাপতে মৰিব। মই যি ঠাইলৈ যাওঁ, সেই ঠাইলৈ আপোনালোকে যাব নোৱাৰে।”
22 The Jews therefore said, Will he kill himself, that he says, Where I go ye cannot come?
২২তেতিয়া ইহুদী সকলে ক’লে, “এওঁ কি আপোনঘাতী হ’ব নেকি? কিয়নো ‘মই যি ঠাইলৈ যাওঁ আপোনালোকে সেই ঠাইলৈ যাব নোৱাৰে’ বুলি যে কৈছে?”
23 And he said to them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above. Ye are of this world; I am not of this world.
২৩তেওঁ তেওঁলোকক ক’লে, “আপোনালোক তলৰ পৰা আহিছে আৰু মই ওপৰৰ পৰা আহিছোঁ; আপোনালোক এই জগতৰ; কিন্তু মই এই জগতৰ নহওঁ।
24 I said therefore to you, that ye shall die in your sins; for unless ye shall believe that I am [he], ye shall die in your sins.
২৪এই কাৰণতে আপোনালোকক ক’লো যে, ‘আপোনালোক নিজ নিজ পাপ সমূহতে মৰিব’; আপোনালোকে যদি বিশ্বাস নকৰে যে ময়েই সেই জন, তেনেহলে অাপোনালোক নিজ নিজ পাপ সমূহত মৰিব।”
25 They said therefore to him, Who art thou? [And] Jesus said to them, Altogether that which I also say to you.
২৫তেতিয়া তেওঁলোকে তেওঁক সুধিলে “তুমি নো কোন?” যীচুৱে তেওঁলোকক ক’লে, “সেই বিষয়ে প্ৰথমৰে পৰা মই আপোনালোকক কৈ আছোঁ।
26 I have many things to say and to judge concerning you, but he that has sent me is true, and I, what I have heard from him, these things I say to the world.
২৬আপোনালোকৰ বিষয়ে ক’বলৈ আৰু বিচাৰ কৰিবলৈ অনেক কথা মোৰ আছে। কিন্তু মোক যি জনে পঠিয়াইছে, তেওঁ সত্য; মই তেওঁৰ পৰা যি শুনিলোঁ, সেই বিষয়ে জগতক কৈছোঁ।”
27 They knew not that he spoke to them of the Father.
২৭তেওঁ যে পিতৃৰ বিষয়ে এই কথা ক’লে ইয়াক তেওঁলোকে বুজি নাপালে।
28 Jesus therefore said to them, When ye shall have lifted up the Son of man, then ye shall know that I am [he], and [that] I do nothing of myself, but as the Father has taught me I speak these things.
২৮সেয়ে যীচুৱে ক’লে, “আপোনালোকে যেতিয়া মানুহৰ পুত্ৰক ওপৰলৈ তুলিব, তেতিয়া আপোনালোকে জানিব যে মইয়ে সেই জন আৰু মই নিজৰ পৰা একো নকৰোঁ। পিতৃয়ে যেনেকৈ মোক শিকাইছে, মই সেইদৰেই এইবোৰ কথা কৈছোঁ।
29 And he that has sent me is with me; he has not left me alone, because I do always the things that are pleasing to him.
২৯মোক যি জনে পঠালে, তেওঁ মোৰ লগত আছে। তেওঁ মোক অকলশৰীয়াকৈ ৰখা নাই, কিয়নো মই সদায় তেওঁৰ সন্তোষজনক কাম কৰোঁ।”
30 As he spoke these things many believed on him.
৩০যীচুৱে যেতিয়া এইবোৰ কথা কৈ আছিল, অনেকে তেওঁত বিশ্বাস কৰিলে।
31 Jesus therefore said to the Jews who believed him, If ye abide in my word, ye are truly my disciples;
৩১যি ইহুদী সকলে তেওঁক বিশ্বাস কৰিলে, যীচুৱে তেওঁলোকক ক’লে, “মোৰ বাক্যতে যদি আপোনালোক থাকে, তেনেহলে সঁচাকৈয়ে আপোনালোক মোৰ শিষ্য;
32 and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.
৩২আৰু আপোনালোকে সত্যক জানিব আৰু সেই সত্যই আপোনালোকক মুক্ত কৰিব।”
33 They answered him, We are Abraham's seed, and have never been under bondage to any one; how sayest thou, Ye shall become free?
৩৩তেওঁলোকে তেওঁক উত্তৰ দিলে, “আমি অব্ৰাহামৰ বংশধৰ; আৰু কেতিয়াও কাৰো সেৱাকৰ্ম কৰা নাই; তেনেস্থলত ‘আপোনালোকক মুক্ত কৰা হ’ব’, এনে কথা তুমি কেনেকৈ কৈছা?”
34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say to you, Every one that practises sin is the bondman of sin.
৩৪যীচুৱে উত্তৰ দিলে, “মই আপোনালোকক সঁচাই কওঁ, যি কোনোৱে পাপ-আচৰণ কৰে তেওঁ পাপৰ দাস।
৩৫দাস পৰিয়ালত চিৰকাল নাথাকে, কিন্তু সন্তান হ’লে সদায় পৰিয়ালত থাকে। (aiōn g165)
36 If therefore the Son shall set you free, ye shall be really free.
৩৬এই কাৰণে পুত্ৰই যদি আপোনালোকক মুক্ত কৰে, তেনেহলে আপোনালোক অৱশ্যেই মুক্ত হ’ব।
37 I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word has no entrance in you.
৩৭আপোনালোক যে অব্ৰাহামৰ বংশধৰ, সেই বিষয়ে মই জানো; কিন্তু আপোনালোকে মোক বধ কৰিবলৈ উপায় বিচাৰি ফুৰিছে; কাৰণ আপোনালোকৰ অন্তৰত মোৰ বাক্যই ঠাই নাপায়।
38 I speak what I have seen with my Father, and ye then do what ye have seen with your father.
৩৮মই মোৰ পিতৃৰ ওচৰত যি দেখিলোঁ, সেই বিষয়েই কৈ থাকো আৰু আপোনালোকেও আপোনালোকৰ পিতৃৰ পৰা যি শুনিলে, তাকেই কৰি থাকে।”
39 They answered and said to him, Abraham is our father. Jesus says to them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham;
৩৯তাৰ উত্তৰত তেওঁলোকে যীচুক ক’লে, “আমাৰ পিতৃ অব্ৰাহাম।” যীচুৱে তেওঁলোকক ক’লে, “আপোনালোক যদি অব্ৰাহামৰ সন্তান হয়, তেনেহলে অব্রাহামে যি কৰিলে, আপোনালোকেও তেনে কৰ্ম কৰিলেহেঁতেন।
40 but now ye seek to kill me, a man who has spoken the truth to you, which I have heard from God: this did not Abraham.
৪০ঈশ্বৰৰ ওচৰৰ পৰা যি সত্য মই শুনিলো, তাকেই আপোনালোকক কৈছোঁ। তথাপি এতিয়া আপোনালোকে মোকে বধ কৰিবলৈ বিচাৰিছে; কিন্তু অব্ৰাহামেতো এনে কৰ্ম কৰা নাই।
41 Ye do the works of your father. They said [therefore] to him, We are not born of fornication; we have one father, God.
৪১আপোনালোকৰ পিতৃয়ে যি কর্ম কৰে, আপোনালোকে তাকে কৰে।” তেওঁলোকে তেতিয়া যীচুক ক’লে, “আমি জাৰজ সন্তান নহওঁ; আমাৰ এজন পিতৃ আছে, তেওঁ ঈশ্বৰ।”
42 Jesus said to them, If God were your father ye would have loved me, for I came forth from God and am come [from him]; for neither am I come of myself, but he has sent me.
৪২যীচুৱে তেওঁলোকক ক’লে, “ঈশ্বৰ আপোনালোকৰ পিতৃ হোৱা হ’লে, আপোনালোকে মোক প্ৰেম কৰিলেহেঁতেন; কিয়নো মই ঈশ্বৰৰ ওচৰৰ পৰা আহিছোঁ; মই নিজৰ পৰা আহি ইয়াত থকা নাই, কিন্তু ঈশ্বৰেহে মোক ইয়ালৈ পঠিয়ালে।
43 Why do ye not know my speech? Because ye cannot hear my word.
৪৩আপোনালোকে মোৰ কথাবোৰ কিয় নুবুজে? তাৰ কাৰণ এই যে আপোনালোকে মোৰ কথাবোৰ শুনি সহন কৰিব পৰা নাই।
44 Ye are of the devil, as [your] father, and ye desire to do the lusts of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has not stood in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks falsehood, he speaks of what is his own; for he is a liar and its father:
৪৪চয়তান আপোনালোকৰ পিতৃ আৰু আপোনালোক তাৰ পৰা হৈছে। সেই কাৰণে আপোনালোকে আপোনালোকৰ সেই পিতৃৰ অভিলাষ পূর্ণ কৰিবলৈ ইচ্ছা কৰে। চয়তান আদিৰে পৰা নৰবধী; সি সত্যত নাথাকে, কিয়নো তাৰ ভিতৰত সত্য নাই। সি যেতিয়া মিছা কথা কয়, তেতিয়া সি নিজৰ স্বভাৱৰ পৰাই কয়। কাৰণ সি মিছলীয়া আৰু সকলো মিছাৰ বাপেক।
45 and because I speak the truth, ye do not believe me.
৪৫মই সত্য কথা কওঁ বাবে আপোনালোকে মোক বিশ্বাস নকৰে।
46 Which of you convinces me of sin? If I speak truth, why do ye not believe me?
৪৬আপোনালোকৰ মাজৰ কোনে মোক পাপী বুলি দোষী কৰিব পাৰে? মই যদি সত্য কথা কৈছোঁ, তেনেহলে আপোনালোকে কিয় মোক বিশ্বাস নকৰে?
47 He that is of God hears the words of God: therefore ye hear [them] not, because ye are not of God.
৪৭যি জন ঈশ্বৰৰ লোক, তেওঁ ঈশ্বৰৰ কথা শুনে। আপোনালোকে সেই বাবেই নুশুনে, কাৰণ আপোনালোক ঈশ্বৰৰ লোক নহয়৷”
48 The Jews answered and said to him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan and hast a demon?
৪৮ইহুদী সকলে উত্তৰ দি তেওঁক ক’লে, “আমি সঁচাকৈয়ে জানো কোৱা নাছিলো যে তুমি এজন চমৰীয়া, আৰু তোমাৰ ভিতৰত এটা ভূত আছে?”
49 Jesus answered, I have not a demon; but I honour my Father, and ye dishonour me.
৪৯যীচুৱে উত্তৰ দিলে, “মোক ভূতে পোৱা নাই, বৰঞ্চ মই মোৰ পিতৃক সন্মান কৰোঁ; কিন্তু, আপোনালোকে মোক অসন্মান কৰে।
50 But I do not seek my own glory: there is he that seeks and judges.
৫০মই মোৰ নিজৰ মৰ্যদা নিবিচাৰোঁ; কিন্তু এজন আছে যি জনে বিচাৰে আৰু তেওঁ বিচাৰো কৰে।
51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, If any one shall keep my word, he shall never see death. (aiōn g165)
৫১মই আপোনালোকক সঁচাকৈয়ে কওঁ, কোনোৱে যদি মোৰ বাক্য পালন কৰে, তেওঁ কোনো কালে মৃত্যুক নেদেখিব।” (aiōn g165)
52 The Jews therefore said to him, Now we know that thou hast a demon. Abraham has died, and the prophets, and thou sayest, If any one keep my word, he shall never taste death. (aiōn g165)
৫২ইহুদী সকলে তেওঁক ক’লে, “এতিয়া আমি সঁচাই বুজিছো যে তোমাৰ গাত ভূত আছে। অব্ৰাহাম আৰু ভাৱবাদী সকল মৰি গ’ল, কিন্তু তুমি কৈছা, ‘কোনোৱে যদি মোৰ বাক্য পালন কৰে, তেওঁ কোনো কালে মৃত্যুভোগ নকৰিব।’ (aiōn g165)
53 Art thou greater than our father Abraham, who has died? and the prophets have died: whom makest thou thyself?
৫৩তুমি কি আমাৰ ওপৰ-পিতৃ অব্ৰাহামতকৈয়ো মহান হ’লা নেকি? তেওঁৰ মৃত্যু হ’ল আৰু ভাৱবাদী সকলৰো মৃত্যু হ’ল; তুমি নিজকে কোন বুলি ভাৱিছা?”
54 Jesus answered, If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing: it is my Father who glorifies me, [of] whom ye say, He is our God.
৫৪যীচুৱে উত্তৰ দিলে, “মই যদি নিজে নিজক মহিমান্বিত কৰোঁ, তেনেহলে মোৰ মহিমাৰ একো মূল্য নাই; কিন্তু মোৰ পিতৃ, যি জনক আপোনালোকে আপোনালোকৰ ঈশ্বৰ বুলি দাবী কৰে, তেৱেঁই মোক গৌৰৱান্বিত কৰে।
55 And ye know him not; but I know him; and if I said, I know him not, I should be like you, a liar. But I know him, and I keep his word.
৫৫আপোনালোকে তেওঁক নাজানে; মই হ’লে তেওঁক জানো; মই তেওঁক নাজানো বুলি যদি কওঁ, তেনেহলে আপোনালোকৰ নিচিনা মিছলীয়া হ’ম। কিন্তু মই তেওঁক জানো, আৰু তেওঁৰ বাক্য পালন কৰোঁ।
56 Your father Abraham exulted in that he should see my day, and he saw and rejoiced.
৫৬আপোনালোকৰ ওপৰ-পুৰুষ অব্ৰাহামে মোৰ দিন দেখাৰ আশাত উল্লাসিত হৈছিল; তেওঁ সেইদিন দেখিলে আৰু আনন্দ কৰিলে।”
57 The Jews therefore said to him, Thou hast not yet fifty years, and hast thou seen Abraham?
৫৭ইহুদী সকলে যীচুক ক’লে, “তোমাৰ বয়স এতিয়াও পঞ্চাশ বছৰ হোৱাই নাই আৰু তুমি অব্ৰাহামক দেখিলা নে?”
58 Jesus said to them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
৫৮যীচুৱে তেওঁলোকক ক’লে, “সঁচাকৈয়ে মই আপোনালোকক কওঁ, অব্ৰাহামৰ জন্মৰ আগৰে পৰা মই আছোঁ।”
59 They took up therefore stones that they might cast [them] at him; but Jesus hid himself and went out of the temple, [going through the midst of them, and thus passed on.]
৫৯তেতিয়া তেওঁলোকে তেওঁক মাৰিবৰ কাৰণে শিল তুলি ল’লে। কিন্তু যীচুৱে গোপনে মন্দিৰৰ পৰা বাহিৰলৈ ওলাই গ’ল।
