John 17

1 These things Jesus spoke, and lifted up his eyes to heaven and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son may glorify thee;

2 as thou hast given him authority over all flesh, that [as to] all that thou hast given to him, he should give them life eternal. (aiōnios g166)

Ceamyihna thlang boeih boeih ak khanawh saithainaak na peek ce, a venawh na peek thlang boeih kumqui hqingnaak a peek naak thai ham. (aiōnios g166)

3 And this is the eternal life, that they should know thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent. (aiōnios g166)

Ve ve kumqui hqingnaak ni: nang Khawsa doeng ingkaw na tyih Jesu Khrih sim ve. (aiōnios g166)

4 I have glorified thee on the earth, I have completed the work which thou gavest me that I should do it;

5 and now glorify me, thou Father, along with thyself, with the glory which I had along with thee before the world was.

Aw ka Pa, khawmdek a syn hlanawh na venawh zoeksangnaakna ka awm ce, tuhawh namah qoe ing ni zoeksang lah.

6 I have manifested thy name to the men whom thou gavest me out of the world. They were thine, and thou gavest them me, and they have kept thy word.

Nang ing khawmdek khui awhkawng ak cawn nani peek khqi venawh nang ming dangsak hawh nyng; amingmih taw na koe na awm unawh, nang ing nani peekkhqi na awm uhy; amingmih ing nak awipek ngaih uhy.

7 Now they have known that all things that thou hast given me are of thee;

Ik-oeih nani peekkhqi boeih ce nang a venawh kaw ni tice tuh sim hawh uhy.

8 for the words which thou hast given me I have given them, and they have received [them], and have known truly that I came out from thee, and have believed that thou sentest me.

Nang ing nani peek awikhqi ce cekkhqi venawh pe nyng saw a mingmih ing do uhy. Kai ve nang a venawh kawng ni a law, tice ak ceet cana sim hawh uhy, nang ing ni a tyih ti awm cangna hawh uhy.

9 I demand concerning them; I do not demand concerning the world, but concerning those whom thou hast given me, for they are thine,

A mingmih aham cykcah nyng. Khawmdek aham am cykcah nyng, cehlai nang ing nani peek thlangkhqi hamna ni kak cykcah, na koena awm unawh.

10 (and all that is mine is thine, and [all] that is thine mine, ) and I am glorified in them.

Kai ing ka taakkhqi boeih ce nang a koe ni, nang ing na taakkhqi boeih awm nang a koe ni. A mingmih awh zoeksangnaak ce ka venawh awm hy.

11 And I am no longer in the world, and these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep them in thy name which thou hast given me, that they may be one as we.

Khawmdek awh khawqyt am awm voel kawng, cehlai a mingmih taw khawmdek awh awm hyn kawm uh, kai taw nang a venna law hawh kawng nyng. Ka Pa Ciimcaih, nang ming saithainaak ing a mingmih ce chungdah khqi lah – ningnih pynoet na ni awm amyihna a mingmih awm pynoet na ami awmnaak thai aham.

12 When I was with them I kept them in thy name; those thou hast given me I have guarded, and not one of them has perished, but the son of perdition, that the scripture might be fulfilled.

Vekkhqi mi ka awm awh, nang ing nani peek ming ing a mingmih ce chung ak dah khqi nyng saw a nep cana khoem nyng. Cak Ciim a soepnaak aham, ak qeng thlang pynoet ti kaa taw, pynoet awm am qeng ti kawm uh.

13 And now I come to thee. And these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in them.

Tuh nang a venna law hly hawh nyng, cehlai ve khawmdek awh ka awm hyn awh, kai a zeelnaak ce a mingmih ak khuiawh ak be na ami taaknaak thai aham, vekhqi ve kqawn nyng.

14 I have given them thy word, and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, as I am not of the world.

Nak awi ce a mingmih a venawh pe hawh nyng, kai khawmdek a koena am ka awm amyihna, a mingmih awm khawmdek a koena a mami awm a dawngawh, khawmdek ing a mingmih ce sawh nak khqi hawh hy.

15 I do not demand that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them out of evil.

Khawmdek awhkawng ak chang na a mingmih ce khyn valh aham am cykcah nyng, cehlai them che ak khuiawh kawng a mingmih ce chungdah ahamni kak cykcah.

16 They are not of the world, as I am not of the world.

Kai khawmdek a koena am ka awm lawt amyihna, a mingmih awm khawmdek a koena am awm uhy.

17 Sanctify them by the truth: thy word is truth.

Awitak ing a mingmih ce ciimcaih sak lah; nak awi taw awitak ni.

18 As thou hast sent me into the world, I also have sent them into the world;

Khawmdek na nang ing nani tyih amyihna, kai ingawm a mingmih ce khawmdek awh tyi khqi nyng.

19 and I sanctify myself for them, that they also may be sanctified by truth.

A mingmih aham kamah ingkaw kamah ciim qunyng, a mingmih awm ami ciim lawt ham awm hy.

20 And I do not demand for these only, but also for those who believe on me through their word;

A mingmih aham doeng am cykcah nyng. A mingmih ing awi amik khypyi ak camawh ak cangnaak hly kawi thlangkhqi ham awm cykcah nyng.

21 that they may be all one, as thou, Father, [art] in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us, that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

22 And the glory which thou hast given me I have given them, that they may be one, as we are one;

Nyngnih pynoet na ni awm amyihna a mingmih awm pynoet na ami awmnaak aham, nang ing nani peek zoeksangnaak ce a mingmih a venawh pe khqi nyng.

23 I in them and thou in me, that they may be perfected into one [and] that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and [that] thou hast loved them as thou hast loved me.

A mingmih ak khuiawh kai awm nyng kai ak khuiawh nang awm hyk ti. Nang ing kai ni tyi nawh kai nani lungnaak amyihna a mingmih awm lungna hyk ti tice khawmdek sim sak aham a mingmih ce pynoet na coeng sak lah.

24 Father, [as to] those whom thou hast given me, I desire that where I am they also may be with me, that they may behold my glory which thou hast given me, for thou lovedst me before [the] foundation of [the] world.

Ka Pa, nang ing nani peekkhqi ve, nang ing khawmdek a syn hlanawh ni lungna nawh nani peek kai a boeimangnaak ce huh sak aham, kamah ka awmnaak awh awm sak lawt aham ngaih nyng.

25 Righteous Father, — and the world has not known thee, but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.

Ak dyng ka Pa, khawmdek ing nang ce amni sim seiawm, kai ing nang ce ni sim nyng, nang ing ni tyi hyk ti tice a mingmih ing sim hawh uhy.

26 And I have made known to them thy name, and will make [it] known; that the love with which thou hast loved me may be in them and I in them.

A mingmih a venawh nang ming ce khypyi hawh nyng, nang ing kai nani lungnaak ce a mingmih a venawh awm nawh kamah qoe ce a mingmih a venawh ka awm thainaak aham, nang ming ce khypyi hyn kawng nyng,” tinawh cykcah hy.
