< John 14 >

1 Let not your heart be troubled; ye believe on God, believe also on me.
“Ẹ má ṣe jẹ́ kí ọkàn yín kí ó dàrú, ẹ gba Ọlọ́run gbọ́, kí ẹ sì gbà mí gbọ́ pẹ̀lú.
2 In my Father's house there are many abodes; were it not so, I had told you: for I go to prepare you a place;
Nínú ilé Baba mi ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ ibùgbé ni ó wà, ìbá má ṣe bẹ́ẹ̀, èmi ìbá tí sọ fún yín. Èmi ń lọ láti pèsè ààyè sílẹ̀ fún yín.
3 and if I go and shall prepare you a place, I am coming again and shall receive you to myself, that where I am ye also may be.
Bí mo bá sì lọ láti pèsè ààyè sílẹ̀ fún un yín, èmi ó tún padà wá, èmi ó sì mú yín lọ sọ́dọ̀ èmi tìkára mi; pé níbi tí èmi gbé wà, kí ẹ̀yin lè wà níbẹ̀ pẹ̀lú.
4 And ye know where I go, and ye know the way.
Ẹ̀yin mọ ibi tí èmi gbé ń lọ, ẹ sì mọ ọ̀nà náà.”
5 Thomas says to him, Lord, we know not where thou goest, and how can we know the way?
Tomasi wí fún un pé, “Olúwa, a kò mọ ibi tí ìwọ ń lọ, a ó ha ti ṣe mọ ọ̀nà náà?”
6 Jesus says to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father unless by me.
Jesu dá wọn lóhùn pé, “Èmi ni ọ̀nà, òtítọ́ àti ìyè, kò sí ẹnikẹ́ni tí ó lè wá sọ́dọ̀ Baba, bí kò ṣe nípasẹ̀ mi.
7 If ye had known me, ye would have known also my Father, and henceforth ye know him and have seen him.
Ìbá ṣe pé ẹ̀yin ti mọ̀ mí, ẹ̀yin ìbá ti mọ Baba mi pẹ̀lú, láti ìsinsin yìí lọ ẹ̀yin mọ̀ ọ́n, ẹ sì ti rí i.”
8 Philip says to him, Lord, shew us the Father and it suffices us.
Filipi wí fún un pé, “Olúwa, fi Baba náà hàn wá, yóò sì tó fún wa.”
9 Jesus says to him, Am I so long a time with you, and thou hast not known me, Philip? He that has seen me has seen the Father; and how sayest thou, Shew us the Father?
Jesu wí fún un pé, “Bí àkókò tí mo bá yín gbé ti tó yìí, ìwọ, kò sì tí ì mọ̀ mí síbẹ̀ Filipi? Ẹni tí ó bá ti rí mi, ó ti rí Baba. Ìwọ ha ti ṣe wí pé, ‘Fi Baba hàn wá!’
10 Believest thou not that I [am] in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words which I speak to you I do not speak from myself; but the Father who abides in me, he does the works.
Ìwọ kò ha gbàgbọ́ pé, èmi wà nínú Baba, àti pé Baba wà nínú mi? Ọ̀rọ̀ tí èmi ń sọ fún yín, èmi kò dá a sọ; ṣùgbọ́n Baba ti ó wà nínú mi, òun ní ń ṣe iṣẹ́ rẹ̀.
11 Believe me that I [am] in the Father and the Father in me; but if not, believe me for the works' sake themselves.
Ẹ gbà mí gbọ́ pé, èmi wà nínú Baba, Baba sì wà nínú mi, bí kò ṣe bẹ́ẹ̀, ẹ gbà mí gbọ́ nítorí àwọn ẹ̀rí iṣẹ́ náà pàápàá!
12 Verily, verily, I say to you, He that believes on me, the works which I do shall he do also, and he shall do greater than these, because I go to the Father.
Lóòótọ́ lóòótọ́ ni mo wí fún yín, ẹni tí ó bá gbà mí gbọ́, iṣẹ́ tí èmi ń ṣe ni òun yóò ṣe pẹ̀lú; iṣẹ́ tí ó tóbi ju wọ̀nyí lọ ni yóò sì ṣe; nítorí tí èmi ń lọ sọ́dọ̀ Baba.
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, this will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
Ohunkóhun tí ẹ̀yin bá sì béèrè ní orúkọ mi, òun náà ni èmi ó ṣe, kí a lè yin Baba lógo nínú Ọmọ.
14 If ye shall ask anything in my name, I will do it.
Bí ẹ̀yin bá béèrè ohunkóhun ní orúkọ mi, èmi ó ṣe é.
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
“Bí ẹ̀yin bá fẹ́ràn mi, ẹ ó pa òfin mi mọ́.
16 And I will beg the Father, and he will give you another Comforter, that he may be with you for ever, (aiōn g165)
Nígbà náà èmi yóò wá béèrè lọ́wọ́ Baba. Òun yóò sì fún yín ní olùtùnú mìíràn. Olùtùnú náà yóò máa bá yín gbé títí láé. (aiōn g165)
17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see him nor know him; but ye know him, for he abides with you, and shall be in you.
Òun ni Ẹ̀mí òtítọ́. Ayé kò le gbà á. Nítorí ayé kò mọ̀ ọ́n, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni kò rí i rí. Ẹ̀yin mọ̀ ọn nítorí láti ìgbà tí ẹ ti wà pẹ̀lú mí. Òun náà ti wà pẹ̀lú yín. Ṣùgbọ́n ní ọjọ́ kan yóò wọ inú yín láti máa gbé ibẹ̀.
18 I will not leave you orphans, I am coming to you.
Èmi kò ní fi yín sílẹ̀ láìní Olùtùnú, kí ẹ ma dàbí ọmọ tí kò ní òbí. Rárá o! Mo tún ń tọ̀ yín bọ̀.
19 Yet a little and the world sees me no longer; but ye see me; because I live ye also shall live.
Nígbà díẹ̀ sí i, ayé kì yóò rí mi mọ́; ṣùgbọ́n ẹ̀yin yóò rí mi, nítorí tí èmi wà láààyè, ẹ̀yin yóò wà láààyè pẹ̀lú.
20 In that day ye shall know that I [am] in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
Ní ọjọ́ náà ni ẹ̀yin yóò mọ̀ pé, èmi wà nínú Baba mi, àti ẹ̀yin nínú mi, àti èmi nínú yín.
21 He that has my commandments and keeps them, he it is that loves me; but he that loves me shall be loved by my Father, and I will love him and will manifest myself to him.
Ẹni tí ó bá ní òfin mi, tí ó bá sì ń pa wọ́n mọ́, òun ni ẹni tí ó fẹ́ràn mi, ẹni tí ó bá sì fẹ́ràn mi, a ó fẹ́ràn rẹ̀ láti ọ̀dọ̀ Baba mi, èmi ó sì fẹ́ràn rẹ̀, èmi ó sì fi ara mi hàn fún un.”
22 Judas, not the Iscariote, says to him, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself to us and not to the world?
Judasi (kì í ṣe Judasi Iskariotu) wí fún un pé, “Olúwa, èéha ti ṣe tí ìwọ ó fi ara rẹ hàn fún àwa, tí kì yóò sì ṣe fún aráyé?”
23 Jesus answered and said to him, If any one love me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our abode with him.
Jesu dáhùn ó sì wí fún un pé, “Bí ẹnìkan bá fẹ́ràn mi, yóò pa ọ̀rọ̀ mi mọ́. Baba mi yóò sì fẹ́ràn rẹ̀, àwa ó sì tọ̀ ọ́ wá, a ó sì ṣe ibùgbé wa pẹ̀lú rẹ̀.
24 He that loves me not does not keep my words; and the word which ye hear is not mine, but [that] of the Father who has sent me.
Ẹni tí kò fẹ́ràn mi ni kò pa ọ̀rọ̀ mi mọ́. Ọ̀rọ̀ tí ẹ̀yin ń gbọ́ kì í ṣe ti èmi, ṣùgbọ́n ti Baba tí ó rán mi.
25 These things I have said to you, abiding with you;
“Nǹkan wọ̀nyí ni èmi ti sọ fún yín, nígbà tí mo ń bá yín gbé.
26 but the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and will bring to your remembrance all the things which I have said to you.
Ṣùgbọ́n Olùtùnú náà, Ẹ̀mí Mímọ́, ẹni tí Baba yóò rán ní orúkọ mi, òun ni yóò kọ́ yín ní ohun gbogbo, yóò sì rán yín létí ohun gbogbo tí mo ti sọ fún yín.
27 I leave peace with you; I give my peace to you: not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it fear.
Àlàáfíà ni mo fi sílẹ̀ fún yín pé, àlàáfíà mi ni mo fi fún yin, kì í ṣe bí ayé ti fi fún ni. Ẹ má ṣe jẹ́ kí ọkàn yín dàrú, ẹ má sì jẹ́ kí ó wárìrì.
28 Ye have heard that I have said unto you, I go away and I am coming to you. If ye loved me ye would rejoice that I go to the Father, for [my] Father is greater than I.
“Ẹ̀yin sá ti gbọ́ bí mo ti wí fún yín pé, ‘Èmi ń lọ, èmi ó sì tọ̀ yín wá.’ Ìbá ṣe pé ẹ̀yin fẹ́ràn mi, ẹ̀yin ìbá yọ̀ nítorí èmi ń lọ sọ́dọ̀ Baba; nítorí Baba mi tóbi jù mí lọ.
29 And now I have told you before it comes to pass, that when it shall have come to pass ye may believe.
Èmi sì ti sọ fún yín nísinsin yìí kí ó tó ṣẹ, pé nígbà tí ó bá ṣẹ, kí ẹ lè gbàgbọ́.
30 I will no longer speak much with you, for the ruler of the world comes, and in me he has nothing;
Èmi kì yóò bá yín sọ̀rọ̀ púpọ̀, nítorí ọmọ-aládé ayé yí wá, kò sì ní nǹkan kan lòdì sí mi.
31 but that the world may know that I love the Father, and as the Father has commanded me, thus I do. Rise up, let us go hence.
Ṣùgbọ́n nítorí kí ayé lè mọ̀ pé èmi fẹ́ràn Baba; gẹ́gẹ́ bí Baba sì ti fi àṣẹ fún mi, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni èmi ń ṣe. “Ẹ dìde, ẹ jẹ́ kí a lọ kúrò níhìn-ín yìí.
