< Job 8 >
1 And Bildad the Shuhite answered and said,
Kalpasanna, simmungbat ni Bildad a Suhita ket kinunana,
2 How long wilt thou speak these things? and the words of thy mouth be a strong wind?
“Kasano pay kabayag nga ibagam dagitoy a banbanag? Kasano pay kabayag a dagiti sasao ti ngiwatmo ket agbalin a napigsa nga angin?
3 Doth God pervert judgment, and the Almighty pervert justice?
Ballikugen kadi ti Dios ti hustisia? Ballikugen kadi ti Mannakabalin amin ti kinalinteg?
4 If thy children have sinned against him, he hath also given them over into the hand of their transgression.
Nagbasol dagiti annakmo kenkuana, ammomi daytoy, ta impaimana ida kadagiti basbasolda.
5 If thou seek earnestly unto God, and make thy supplication to the Almighty,
Ngem kas pangarigan a sipapasnekka a nangbirok iti Dios ken indatagmo dagiti kiddawmo iti Mannakabalin amin.
6 If thou be pure and upright, surely now he will awake for thee, and make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous;
Kas pangarigan nasin-aw ken nalintegka; ket awan duadua nga agtignay isuna para kenka ken gun-gonaannaka iti pagtaengan a pudno a kukuam.
7 And though thy beginning was small, yet thine end shall be very great.
Uray no bassit ti nagrugiam, nasaysayaatto latta ti maudi a kasasaadmo.
8 For inquire, I pray thee, of the former generation, and attend to the researches of their fathers;
Ta agpakpakaasiak kenka, nga agpalutpotka, maipanggep iti napalabas a panawen; usarem ti bagim a mangadal kadagiti naduktalan dagiti kapuonantayo.
9 For we are [but] of yesterday, and know nothing, for our days upon earth are a shadow.
(Naiyanaktayo laeng idi kalman ken awan iti ammotayo gapu ta anniniwan dagiti aldawtayo iti daga).
10 Shall not they teach thee, [and] tell thee, and utter words out of their heart?
Saandaka kadi nga isuro wenno ibaga kenka? Saanda kadi nga agsao manipud kadagiti pusoda?
11 Doth the papyrus shoot up without mire? doth the reed-grass grow without water?
Dumakkel kadi ti badobadok no awan ti lubnak? Dumakkel kadi ti runo no awan ti danum?
12 Whilst it is yet in its greenness [and] not cut down, it withereth before any [other] grass.
Kabayatan a nalangtoda pay ken saanda pay a napukan, malaylayda sakbay kadagiti sabali a mula.
13 So are the paths of all that forget God; and the profane man's hope shall perish,
Kasta met laeng dagiti dalan dagiti amin a manglipat iti Dios, mapukawto ti namnama dagiti tattao nga awan ti diosna-
14 Whose confidence shall be cut off, and his reliance is a spider's web.
dagiti addaan iti kinatalged a madadael, ken dagidiay kas karasi ti saput ti lawalawa ti talekna.
15 He shall lean upon his house, and it shall not stand; he shall lay hold on it, but it shall not endure.
Agsadag ti kasta a tao iti balayna, ngem saan a tumakder daytoy; kumpet isuna iti daytoy, ngem saan daytoy nga agpaut.
16 He is full of sap before the sun, and his sprout shooteth forth over his garden;
Berde isuna iti sirok ti init, ket agtubo dagiti saringitna iti entero a minuyonganna.
17 His roots are entwined about the stoneheap; he seeth the place of stones.
Balkuten dagiti ramutna dagiti gabsuon ti bato; agbirok dagitoy iti nasayaat a lugar kadagiti kabatbatoan.
18 If he destroy him from his place, then it shall deny him: I have not seen thee!
Ngem no madadael daytoy a tao iti lugarna, ket ilibakto dayta a lugar isuna ket kunana, 'Saanka a pulos a nakita.'
19 Behold, this is the joy of his way, and out of the dust shall others grow.
Kitaem, daytoy ti “rag-o” ti kababalin iti kasta a tao; agtubo dagiti sabali a mula iti isu met laeng a daga iti lugarna.
20 Behold, God will not cast off a perfect man, neither will he take evil-doers by the hand.
Kitaem, saanto a papanawen ti Dios ti awan basolna a tao; wenno saanna nga alaen ti ima dagiti managdakdakes.
21 Whilst he would fill thy mouth with laughing and thy lips with shouting,
Ngem punnoennanto ti ngiwatmo iti katkatawa, dagiti bibigmo iti pukpukkaw.
22 They that hate thee shall be clothed with shame, and the tent of the wicked be no more.
Makawesanto iti pannakaibabain dagiti manggurgura kenka; awanton ti tolda dagiti nadangkes.”
