Job 5
1 Call, I pray thee! Is there any that answereth thee? and to which of the holy ones wilt thou turn?
১এখন ডাক, এখানে কি কেউ আছে যে তোমায় উত্তর দেবে? কোন পবিত্র ব্যক্তির দিকে তুমি ফিরবে?
2 For vexation killeth the foolish man, and envy slayeth the simple.
২কারণ রাগ বোকা মানুষকে মেরে ফেলে; হিংসা বোকা মানুষকে মারে।
3 I myself saw the foolish taking root, but suddenly I cursed his habitation.
৩আমি একজন বোকা মানুষকে দৃঢ় প্রতিষ্ঠিত হতে দেখেছি, কিন্তু তক্ষুনি আমি তার ঘরকে অভিশাপ দিলাম।
4 His children are far from safety, and they are crushed in the gate, and there is no deliverer:
৪তার সন্তানেরা নিরাপদ জায়গা থেকে অনেক দূরে; তারা শহরের দরজায় চূর্ণ হয়েছে। তাদের উদ্ধার করার কেউ নেই,
5 Whose harvest the hungry eateth up, and taketh even out of the thorns; and the snare gapeth for his substance.
৫তাদের শস্য অন্যরা খেয়ে নিয়েছে যারা ক্ষুধার্ত ছিল, লোকেরা এমনকি কাঁটার বেড়ার মধ্যে থেকেও নেয়; যারা তাদের সম্পত্তির জন্য আকুল আকাঙ্খী, লোকেরা তাদের সম্পত্তি গ্রাস করেছে।
6 For evil cometh not forth from the dust, neither doth trouble spring out of the ground;
৬কারণ সমস্যা মাটি থেকে বেরিয়ে আসে না; না ঝামেলা মাটি থেকে জন্মায়;
7 For man is born to trouble, as the sparks fly upwards.
৭কিন্তু মানবজাতি নিজের ঝামেলা নিজে তৈরী করে, ঠিক যেমন আগুনের ফুলকি উপরে ওড়ে।
8 But as for me I will seek unto God, and unto God commit my cause;
৮কিন্তু আমার জন্য, আমি ঈশ্বরের দিকে ফিরব; তাঁর কাছে আমি আমার অভিযোগ সমর্পণ করব,
9 Who doeth great things and unsearchable, marvellous things without number;
৯তিনি যিনি মহান এবং অসামান্য কাজ করেছেন, অসংখ্য আশ্চর্য্য জিনিস করেছেন।
10 Who giveth rain on the face of the earth, and sendeth waters on the face of the fields;
১০তিনি পৃথিবীতে বৃষ্টি দেন এবং মাঠে জল পাঠান।
11 Setting up on high those that are low; and mourners are exalted to prosperity.
১১তিনি এটা করেছেন যাতে যারা নিচু তাদের উঁচু করতে এবং যারা ছাইয়ে বসে শোক করছিল তাদের নিরাপত্তা দিতে তোলেন।
12 He disappointeth the devices of the crafty, and their hands carry not out the enterprise.
১২তিনি ধূর্তদের পরিকল্পনা বিফল করেন, যাতে তাদের হাত তাদের ষড়যন্ত্র বয়ে না নিয়ে যেতে পারে।
13 He taketh the wise in their own craftiness; and the counsel of the wily is carried headlong:
১৩তিনি জ্ঞানীদের তাদের ধূর্ততায় ধরেন; চালাক লোকের পরিকল্পনা তাড়াতাড়ি শেষ হবে।
14 They meet with darkness in the daytime, and grope at midday as in the night.
১৪তারা দিনের রবেলায় অন্ধকারের সঙ্গে মিলিত হয় এবং দুপুরে তারা রাতের মত হাতড়ায়।
15 And he saveth the needy from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hand of the mighty.
১৫কিন্তু তিনি গরিবদের রক্ষা করেছেন তাদের মুখের তলোয়ার থেকে এবং অতি দরিদ্রদের শক্তিশালীদের হাত থেকে রক্ষা করেছেন।
16 So the poor hath what he hopeth for, and unrighteousness stoppeth her mouth.
১৬তাই গরিবের আশা আছে এবং অন্যায়ী সে তার নিজের মুখ বন্ধ করেছে।
17 Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth; therefore despise not the chastening of the Almighty.
১৭দেখ, সেই মানুষ ধন্য সেই ব্যক্তি যাকে ঈশ্বর সংশোধন করেন; এই জন্য, সর্বশক্তিমানের সংশোধন করার উদ্দেশ্যে দেওয়া শাস্তিকে তুচ্ছ করো না।
18 For he maketh sore, and bindeth up; he woundeth, and his hands make whole.
১৮কারণ তিনি আঘাত করেন এবং তারপর বেঁধে দেন; তিনি আঘাত করেন এবং তারপর তাঁর হাত সুস্থ করেন।
19 He will deliver thee in six troubles, and in seven there shall no evil touch thee.
১৯তিনি তোমায় ছয়টি সমস্যা থেকে উদ্ধার করবেন; প্রকৃত পক্ষে, সাতটি সমস্যা থেকে, কোন মন্দ তোমায় স্পর্শ করবে না।
20 In famine he will redeem thee from death, and in war from the power of the sword.
২০দূর্ভিক্ষে তিনি তোমায় মৃত্যু থেকে উদ্ধার করবেন; যুদ্ধে তলোয়ারের শক্তি থেকে উদ্ধার করবেন।
21 Thou shalt be hidden from the scourge of the tongue; and thou shalt not be afraid of destruction when it cometh.
২১তুমি জিভের চাবুক থেকে গুপ্ত থাকবে এবং যখন বিনাশক আসবে তখন তুমি ভয় পাবে না।
22 At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh, and of the beasts of the earth thou shalt not be afraid.
২২তুমি বিনাশ ও দূর্ভিক্ষে হাঁসবে এবং তুমি জঙ্গলের পশুদের থেকে ভয় পাবে না।
23 For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field, and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee.
২৩কারণ তোমার মাঠের পাথরের সঙ্গে তোমার এক চুক্তি থাকবে; তুমি জঙ্গলের পশুদের সঙ্গে শান্তিতে থাকবে।
24 And thou shalt know that thy tent is in peace; and thou wilt survey thy fold, and miss nothing.
২৪তুমি জানবে যে তোমার তাঁবু নিরাপত্তায় আছে; তুমি তোমার ভেড়ার পাল দেখতে যাবে এবং দেখবে কিছুই হারায়নি।
25 And thou shalt know that thy seed is numerous, and thine offspring as the herb of the earth.
২৫তুমি আরও জানবে যে তোমার বংশ মহান হবে, তোমার সন্তানসন্ততি মাঠের ঘাসের মত হবে।
26 Thou shalt come to the grave in a ripe age, as a shock of corn is brought in in its season.
২৬তুমি তোমার কবরে আসবে পূর্ণ বয়সে, যেমন শস্যের আঁটি তুলে নিয়ে যাওয়া হয় খামারে।
27 Behold this, we have searched it out, so it is; hear it, and know thou it for thyself.
২৭দেখ, আমরা এ বিষয়ে পরীক্ষা করে দেখেছি; এটা এরকম, এটা শোন এবং এটা জানো নিজের জন্য।
