Job 32
1 And these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.
Los tres amigos de Job dejaron de responderle porque él seguía protestando su inocencia.
2 Then was kindled the anger of Elihu the son of Barachel, the Buzite, of the family of Ram: against Job was his anger kindled, because he justified himself rather than God;
Entonces Eliú, hijo de Baraquel el Buzita, de la familia de Ram, se enojó. Se enojó con Job por afirmar que él tenía la razón y no Dios.
3 and against his three friends was his anger kindled, because they found no answer, and [yet] condemned Job.
Eliú también se enfadó con los tres amigos de Job porque hacían ver que Dios estaba equivocado, ya que no habían sido capaces de responder a Job.
4 But Elihu had waited till Job had finished speaking, because they were older than he.
Elihú había esperado a que los otros tres hablaran con Job, ya que eran mayores que él.
5 And Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of the three men, and his anger was kindled.
Pero al ver que no podían responder a Job, se enojó mucho.
6 And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and ye are aged; wherefore I was timid, and feared to shew you what I know.
Eliú, hijo de Baraquel el Buzita, dijo: “Yo soy joven y ustedes son viejos, por eso me resistí a decirles lo que sé.
7 I said, Let days speak, and multitude of years teach wisdom.
Me dije a mí mismo: ‘Los que son mayores deben hablar, los que son mayores deben enseñar la sabiduría’.
8 But there is a spirit which is in man; and the breath of the Almighty giveth them understanding.
Sin embargo, hay un espíritu en los seres humanos, el aliento del Todopoderoso, que les da entendimiento.
9 It is not the great that are wise; neither do the aged understand judgment.
No son los viejos los que son sabios, ni los ancianos los que saben lo que es correcto.
10 Therefore I say, Hearken to me; I also will shew what I know.
Por eso te digo que me escuches ahora: déjame decirte lo que sé.
11 Lo, I waited for your words; I gave ear to your reasonings, until ye searched out what to say.
Pues bien, esperé a oír lo que tenías que decir, escuchando tus ideas mientras buscabas las palabras adecuadas para hablar.
12 Yea, I gave you mine attention, and behold, there was none of you that confuted Job, that answered his words;
Les he prestado mucha atención a todos, y ninguno ha demostrado que Job estuviera equivocado ni ha respondido a sus argumentos.
13 That ye may not say, We have found out wisdom; God will make him yield, not man.
No digan dentro de ustedes mismo: ‘Somos muy sabios’, porque Dios, y no un ser humano, les demostrará que están equivocados.
14 Now he hath not directed [his] words against me; and I will not answer him with your speeches. ...
Job no alineó sus argumentos contra mí, y yo no le responderé como ustedes lo hicieron.
15 They were amazed, they answered no more; words failed them.
Se quedaron sin palabras, sin nada más que decir.
16 And I waited, for they spoke not, but stood still, and answered no more; —
¿Debo seguir esperando, siendo que no hablan y solo están ahí de pie sin decir nada?
17 I will answer, I also in my turn, I also will shew what I know:
Pues ahora yo también daré mi respuesta. Les diré lo que sé.
18 For I am full of matter, the spirit within me constraineth me.
¡Tengo tanto que decir que no puedo retener las palabras!
19 Behold, my belly is as wine which hath no vent; like new flasks, it is ready to burst.
Por dentro soy como un vino en fermentación, embotellado; como odres nuevos a punto de estallar.
20 I will speak, that I may find relief; I will open my lips and answer.
Tengo que hablar antes de estallar; abriré mis labios para responderle.
21 Let me not, I pray you, accept any man's person; neither will I give flattery to man.
No tomaré partido, y no voy a adular a nadie.
22 For I know not how to flatter; my Maker would soon take me away.
No sé adular, y si lo hiciera mi Creador pronto me destruiría”.
