Job 30
1 But now they that are younger than I have me in derision, whose fathers I would have disdained to set with the dogs of my flock.
૧પરંતુ હવે જે મારા કરતાં ઉંમરમાં નાના છે જેઓના પિતાઓને હું મારા ટોળાંના કૂતરાઓની હરોળમાં પણ ન રાખું તેટલા નીચા ગણતો, તેઓ આજે મારી હાંસી કરે છે.
2 Yea, whereto [should] the strength of their hands [profit] me, [men] in whom vigour hath perished?
૨હા, જે માણસોનું બળ નાશ પામ્યું છે તેઓના બાહુબળથી મને શો લાભ થાય?
3 Withered up through want and hunger, they flee into waste places long since desolate and desert:
૩દુકાળ તથા ભૂખથી તેઓ લેવાઈ ગયા છે; ઉજ્જડ તથા વેરાન જગ્યાના અંધકારમાં તેઓ અરણ્યની સૂકી ધૂળ ખાય છે.
4 They gather the salt-wort among the bushes, and the roots of the broom for their food.
૪તેઓ રણમાં ખારી ભાજી ચૂંટી કાઢે છે અને રોતેમ વૃક્ષનાં મૂળિયાં ખાય છે.
5 They are driven forth from among [men] — they cry after them as after a thief —
૫તેઓને મનુષ્યોમાંથી હાંકી કાઢવામાં આવ્યા છે. ચોરની જેમ લોકો તેઓની પાછળ ચીસો પાડે છે.
6 To dwell in gloomy gorges, in caves of the earth and the rocks:
૬તેઓ ખીણમાં, ખડકોમાં, ગુફાઓમાં, અને ખાડાઓમાં પડી રહે છે.
7 They bray among the bushes; under the brambles they are gathered together:
૭તેઓ પશુની જેમ ઝાડીઓમાં બરાડા પાડે છે; તેઓ ઝાડ નીચે સમૂહમાં ભેગા થાય છે.
8 Sons of fools, and sons of nameless sires, they are driven out of the land.
૮તેઓ મૂર્ખોનાં સંતાનો હા, અધમ પુરુષોનાં સંતાનો છે. દેશમાંથી તેઓને કાઢી મૂકવામાં આવ્યા હતા.
9 And now I am their song, yea, I am their byword.
૯હવે તે માણસો મારી મશ્કરી કરે છે. હું તેઓ મધ્યે કહેવતરૂપ બન્યો છું.
10 They abhor me, they stand aloof from me, yea, they spare not to spit in my face.
૧૦તેઓ મારા પ્રત્યે ઘૃણા કરે છે અને મારી પાસે આવતા નથી. મારા મોં પર થૂંકતાં પણ તેઓ અચકાતા નથી.
11 For he hath loosed my cord and afflicted me; so they cast off the bridle before me.
૧૧કેમ કે ઈશ્વરે પોતાની દોરી છોડીને મને દુઃખી કર્યો છે. અને લોકોએ મારી સામું પોતાનો બધો અંકુશ ગુમાવ્યો છે.
12 At [my] right hand rise the young brood; they push away my feet, and raise up against me their pernicious ways;
૧૨મારી જમણી બાજુએ હુલ્લડખોરો ઊઠે છે; તેઓ મને દૂર હાંકી કાઢે છે અને મારો નાશ કરવા તેઓ ઘેરો નાખે છે.
13 They mar my path, they set forward my calamity, without any to help them;
૧૩તેઓ રસ્તા તોડી નાખે છે જેથી હું ભાગી ન શકું. મારો નાશ કરવામાં તેઓ સફળ થયા છે. તેઓને કોઈની મદદની જરૂર નથી.
14 They come in as through a wide breach: amid the confusion they roll themselves onward.
૧૪તેઓ દીવાલમાં બાકોરું પાડે છે. તેઓ તેની આરપાર ધસી જાય છે અને પથ્થરો મારી પર પડે છે.
15 Terrors are turned against me; they pursue mine honour as the wind; and my welfare is passed away like a cloud.
૧૫મારા માથે વિનાશ આવી પડ્યો છે. તેઓ પવનની જેમ મારા સ્વમાનને ઘસડી લઈ જાય છે. મારી આબાદી વાદળોની જેમ લોપ ગઈ છે.
16 And now my soul is poured out in me; days of affliction have taken hold upon me.
૧૬હવે મારું જીવન લગભગ ખતમ થઈ ગયું છે ઘણાં દુ: ખોના દિવસોએ મને ઘેરી લીધો છે.
17 The night pierceth through my bones [and detacheth them] from me, and my gnawing pains take no rest:
૧૭રાત્રી દરમ્યાન મારાં હાડકાંઓને પીડા થાય છે, પીડા મને સતાવવાનું છોડતી નથી.
18 By their great force they have become my raiment; they bind me about as the collar of my coat.
૧૮મારા અતિ મંદવાડને કારણે મારાં વસ્ત્રો વેરવિખેર થઈ ગયાં છે. મારા વસ્ત્રના ગળાની પટ્ટી માફક તેઓએ મને ટૂંપો દીધો છે.
19 He hath cast me into the mire, and I have become like dust and ashes.
૧૯ઈશ્વરે મને કાદવમાં ફેંકી દીધો છે. હવે હું ધૂળ તથા રાખ જેવો બની ગયો છું.
20 I cry unto thee, and thou answerest me not; I stand up, and thou lookest at me.
૨૦ઓ ઈશ્વર હું કાલાવાલા કરું છું, પણ તમે મારું સાંભળતા નથી. હું તમારી સમક્ષ આવીને ઊભો છું પણ તમે મારી સામે નજર કરતા નથી.
21 Thou art changed to a cruel one to me; with the strength of thy hand thou pursuest me.
૨૧તમે મારા પ્રત્યે નિષ્ઠુર થઈ ગયા છો. તમે તમારી શક્તિનો ઉપયોગ મને ઈજા પહોંચાડવામાં કરો છો.
22 Thou liftest me up to the wind; thou causest me to be borne away, and dissolvest my substance.
૨૨તમે મને વાયુમાં ઊંચો કરો છો તમે મને તેની પર સવારી કરાવો છો; તમે મને હવાના તોફાનમાં વાદળાની જેમ પિગળાવી નાખો છો.
23 For I know that thou wilt bring me to death, and into the house of assemblage for all living.
૨૩હું જાણું છું કે તમે મને મૃત્યુમાં, એટલે સર્વ સજીવોને માટે નિશ્ચિત કરેલા ઘરમાં લઈ જશો.
24 Indeed, no prayer [availeth] when he stretcheth out [his] hand: though they cry when he destroyeth.
૨૪મુશ્કેલીમાં આવી પડેલો માણસ હાથ લાંબો નહિ કરે? તેની પડતીમાં તે મદદને માટે કાલાવાલા નહિ કરે?
25 Did not I weep for him whose days were hard? was not my soul grieved for the needy?
૨૫શું દુ: ખી માનવીઓ માટે મેં આંસુ સાર્યાં નથી? કંગાલો માટે મારું હૃદય શું રડી ઊઠયું નથી?
26 For I expected good, and there came evil; and I waited for light, but there came darkness.
૨૬મેં ભલાઈની આશા રાખી હતી પણ દુષ્ટતા આવી પડી મેં પ્રકાશની આશા રાખી હતી પણ અંધારું આવી પડ્યું.
27 My bowels well up, and rest not; days of affliction have confronted me.
૨૭મારું અંતર ઊકળે છે. દુ: ખનો અંત આવતો નથી. મારા પર વિપત્તિના દિવસો આવી પડ્યા છે.
28 I go about blackened, but not by the sun; I stand up, I cry in the congregation.
૨૮હું સૂર્યના પ્રકાશ વિના શોક કરતો ફરું છું, હું જાહેર સભામાં ઊભો રહીને મદદ માટે બૂમો પાડું છું.
29 I am become a brother to jackals, and a companion of ostriches.
૨૯હું શિયાળોનો ભાઈ અને શાહમૃગોનો સાથી થયો છું.
30 My skin is become black [and falleth] off me, and my bones are parched with heat.
૩૦મારી ચામડી કાળી પડી ગઈ છે અને મારા શરીર પરથી ખરી પડી છે. ગરમીથી મારાં હાડકાં બળી જાય છે.
31 My harp also is [turned] to mourning, and my pipe into the voice of weepers.
૩૧તેથી મારી વીણામાંથી હવે વેદનાના સૂર નીકળે છે, મારી વાંસળીમાંથી હવે રુદનનો સ્વર સંભળાય છે.
