Job 24
1 Why are not times treasured up with the Almighty? why do not they that know him see his days?
১কেন সর্বশক্তিমান পাপীদের বিচারের জন্য দিন ঠিক করে রাখেন না? যারা তাঁকে জানে তারা কেন তাঁর বিচারের দিন দেখতে পায় না?
2 They remove the landmarks; they violently take away the flocks and pasture them;
২যারা জমির সীমানা সরিয়ে দেয় এবং যারা জোর করে পশুপাল নিয়ে যায় এবং তাদের নিজেদের জমিতে রাখে।
3 They drive away the ass of the fatherless, they take the widow's ox for a pledge;
৩তারা পিতৃহীনদের গাধা কেড়ে নেয়; তারা বিধবার গরু জামিন হিসাবে নিয়ে যায়।
4 They turn the needy out of the way: the afflicted of the land all hide themselves.
৪তারা দরিদ্রদের রাস্তা থেকে জোর করে তাড়িয়ে দেয়; পৃথিবীর সমস্ত গরিবেরা নিজেদের লোকায় তাদের থেকে।
5 Lo, [as] wild asses in the desert, they go forth to their work, seeking early for the prey: the wilderness [yieldeth] them food for [their] children.
৫দেখ, ঠিক মরুপ্রান্তের বুনো গাধার মত, এই গরিব লোকেরা তাদের কাজে বাইরে যায়, যত্ন করে খাবার খোঁজে; জঙ্গল তাদের সন্তানদের জন্য খাবার যোগায়।
6 They reap in the field the fodder thereof, and they gather the vintage of the wicked;
৬গরিবরা রাতে লোকেদের জমিতে শস্য কাটে; তারা পাপীদের ফসল ক্ষেত্র থেকে আঙ্গুর কুড়ায়।
7 They pass the night naked without clothing, and have no covering in the cold;
৭তারা কাপড় ছাড়া সারা রাতে শুয়ে থাকে; শীতে ঢাকার তাদের কিছু নেই।
8 They are wet with the showers of the mountains, and for want of a shelter embrace the rock...
৮তারা পাহাড়ের বৃষ্টিতে ভেজে এবং থাকার জায়গার অভাবে পাথরে আশ্রয় নেয়।
9 They pluck the fatherless from the breast, and take a pledge of the poor:
৯কেউ কেউ পিতৃহীন দরিদ্র বাচ্চাকে তার মায়ের বুক থেকে কেড়ে নেয় এবং দরিদ্রদের থেকে তাদের বাচ্চা জামিন হিসাবে নিয়ে যায়।
10 These go naked without clothing, and, hungry, they bear the sheaf;
১০তারা কাপড়ের অভাবে উলঙ্গ হয়ে ঘুরে বেড়ায়; যদিও তারা ক্ষুধার্ত, তারা অন্যের শস্যের আঁটি বয়।
11 They press out oil within their walls, they tread their winepresses, and suffer thirst.
১১তারা এই পাপী লোকেদের দেওয়ালের ভিতরে তেল তৈরী করে; তারা পাপী লোকেদের আঙ্গুর পেষণের ব্যবসা করে, কিন্তু তারা তেষ্টায় কষ্ট পায়।
12 Men groan from out of the city, and the soul of the wounded crieth out; and God imputeth not the impiety.
১২শহরের মধ্যে লোকেরা কোঁকায়; আহতদের প্রাণ চিত্কার করে, কিন্তু ঈশ্বর তাদের প্রার্থনায় মনোযোগ করেন না।
13 There are those that rebel against the light; they know not the ways thereof, nor abide in the paths thereof.
১৩কিছু পাপী লোকেরা আলোর বিরুদ্ধে বিদ্রোহ করবে; তারা এটার পথ জানবে না, না তারা এটার পথে থাকবে।
14 The murderer riseth with the light, killeth the afflicted and needy, and in the night is as a thief.
১৪ভোরের আলোর সাথে খুনিরা ওঠে; সে দরিদ্র এবং দীনহীনকে মেরে ফেলে; রাতে সে চোরের মত।
15 And the eye of the adulterer waiteth for the twilight, saying, No eye shall see me; and he putteth a covering on [his] face.
১৫আবার, ব্যভিচারীদের চোখ সন্ধ্যার জন্য অপেক্ষা করে; সে বলে, কোন চোখ আমায় দেখবে না। সে তার মুখ গোপন করে।
16 In the dark they dig through houses; by day they shut themselves in; they know not the light:
১৬পাপীরা অন্ধকারে লোকের ঘরে সিঁধ কাটে; কিন্তু দিনের র আলোয় পাপীরা নিজেদের লুকিয়ে রাখে; তারা আলো জানে না।
17 For the morning is to them all [as] the shadow of death; for they are familiar with the terrors of the shadow of death.
১৭কারণ তাদের সবার জন্য সকাল হল ঘন অন্ধকার; তারা ঘন অন্ধকারের ভয়ানকতায় সুখী।
18 He is swift on the face of the waters; their portion is cursed on the earth: he turneth not unto the way of the vineyards.
১৮যাইহোক, তারা দ্রুতগতিতে চলে যায়, ঠিক জলের ওপরে ভেসে থাকা ফেনার মত; তাদের জমির অংশ অভিশপ্ত; তাদের আঙ্গুর ক্ষেতে কেউ কাজে যায় না।
১৯খরা এবং তাপ বরফ জলকে গ্রাস করে; তেমনি পাতাল গ্রাস করে পাপীদেরকে। (Sheol h7585)
20 The womb forgetteth him; the worm feedeth sweetly on him: he shall be no more remembered; and unrighteousness is broken as a tree, —
২০সেই গর্ভ যে তাকে জন্ম দিয়েছিল ভুলে যাবে; তারা পোকাদের ভাল খাবার হবে; তাকে আর মনে রাখা হবে না; এই ভাবে, গাছের মত পাপাচার ভাঙ্গা হবে।
21 He that despoileth the barren that beareth not, and doeth not good to the widow:
২১পাপী নিঃসন্তান বন্ধ্যা স্ত্রীকে গ্রাস করে; সে বিধবাদের কোন ভাল করে না।
22 He draweth also the mighty with his power; he riseth up, and no [man] is sure of life.
২২তবুও ঈশ্বর পরাক্রমীদের তাঁর শক্তি দিয়ে আকর্ষণ করেন; তিনি ওঠেন এবং তাদের জীবন নিশ্চিত করেন না।
23 [God] setteth him in safety, and he resteth thereon; but his eyes are upon their ways.
২৩ঈশ্বর তাদের সুরক্ষিত জায়গা দেন এবং তারা সেই বিষয়ে খুশি; কিন্তু তাদের পথে তাঁর দৃষ্টি আছে।
24 They are exalted for a little, and are no more; they are laid low; like all [other] are they gathered, and are cut off as the tops of the ears of corn.
২৪এই লোকেরা এখনও গর্বিত, কেবল কিছুক্ষণের মধ্যে, তারা চলে যাবে; সত্যি, তাদের নত করা হবে; তাদের একত্র করা হবে অন্যদের মত; তারা শস্যের আগার মত কাটা যাবে।
25 If it be not so now, who will make me a liar, and make my speech nothing worth?
২৫যদি তা না হয়, কে আমাকে মিথ্যাবাদী প্রমাণ করতে পারে; কে আমার কথা মূল্যহীন করতে পারে?”
