Job 20
1 And Zophar the Naamathite answered and said,
౧అప్పుడు నయమాతీయుడు జోఫరు ఇలా జవాబు చెప్పాడు,
2 Therefore do my thoughts give me an answer, and for this is my haste within me.
౨నువ్వు అలా చెప్పినందువల్ల నాలో కలిగిన ఆత్రుత నీకు తగిన జవాబు చెప్పాలని తొందర చేస్తున్నది.
3 I hear a reproof putting me to shame; and [my] spirit answereth me by mine understanding.
౩నన్ను అవమానపరిచే నింద నీ నుండి వినవలసి వచ్చింది గనుక తెలివిగల నా మనసు జవాబు చెప్పేందుకు నన్ను పురిగొల్పుతున్నది.
4 Knowest thou [not] this, that of old, since man was placed upon earth,
౪ఆదిలో మనుషులు భూమి మీద నివసించడం మొదలు పెట్టినప్పటి నుంచి ఇలాగే జరుగుతున్నదని నీకు తెలియదా?
5 The exultation of the wicked is short, and the joy of the ungodly man but for a moment?
౫దుర్మార్గులకు దక్కే విజయం అశాశ్వితం. భక్తిహీనులకు లభించే సంతోషం క్షణకాలం మాత్రం ఉండేది.
6 Though his height mount up to the heavens, and his head reach unto the clouds,
౬వాళ్ళ గొప్పదనం ఆకాశం కన్నా ఎత్తుగా ఎదిగి, మేఘాల కంటే ఎత్తుగా తలెత్తుకుని తిరగవచ్చు.
7 Like his own dung doth he perish for ever; they which have seen him shall say, Where is he?
౭అయితే వాళ్ళ మలం లాగా వాళ్ళు ఎప్పటికీ కనబడకుండా కనుమరుగైపోతారు. అంతకు ముందు వాళ్ళను చూసిన వాళ్ళు “వాళ్ళంతా ఏమయ్యారు?” అని అడుగుతారు.
8 He flieth away as a dream, and is not found; and is chased away as a vision of the night.
౮కల లాగా వాళ్ళు కరిగి పోయి మళ్ళీ కనబడకుండా పోతారు. రాత్రివేళ వచ్చే కలలాగా వాళ్ళు చెదరిపోతారు.
9 The eye which saw him shall [see him] not again; and his place beholdeth him no more.
౯వాళ్ళను చూసిన కళ్ళు ఇకపై వాళ్ళను చూడవు. అతని నివాసం అతన్నిక చూడదు.
10 His children shall seek the favour of the poor, and his hands restore his wealth.
౧౦వాళ్ళ సంతతి వాళ్ళు కనికరించమని దరిద్రులను వేడుకుంటారు. వారి చేతుల్లో ఉన్న ఆస్తిని తిరిగి ఇచ్చివేస్తారు.
11 His bones were full of his youthful strength; but it shall lie down with him in the dust.
౧౧వాళ్ళ ఎముకల్లో యవ్వన శక్తి నిండి ఉన్నప్పటికీ అది కూడా వాళ్ళతో కలసి మట్టిలో నిద్రిస్తుంది.
12 Though wickedness be sweet in his mouth [and] he hide it under his tongue,
౧౨చెడుతనం వాళ్ళ నోటికి తియ్యగా ఉంది. వాళ్ళ నాలుకల కింద దాన్ని దాచి ఉంచారు.
13 [Though] he spare it, and forsake it not, but keep it within his mouth,
౧౩దాన్ని జాగ్రత్త చేసుకుని తమలోనే ఉంచుకున్నారు. తమ నోట్లోనే భద్రం చేసుకున్నారు.
14 His food is turned in his bowels; it is the gall of asps within him.
౧౪అయితే వాళ్ళ కడుపులో ఉన్నదంతా పులిసిపోతుంది. వాళ్ళ శరీరంలో అది నాగుపాము విషంగా మారుతుంది.
15 He hath swallowed down riches, but he shall vomit them up again: God shall cast them out of his belly.
౧౫వాళ్ళు దిగమింగిన ధనాన్ని ఇప్పుడు కక్కివేస్తారు. దేవుడే వాళ్ళ కడుపులోనుండి కక్కివేసేలా చేస్తాడు.
16 He shall suck the poison of asps; the viper's tongue shall kill him.
౧౬వాళ్ళు కట్లపాముల విషం లోపలికి పీల్చుకునేవాళ్ళు. నాగుపాము కోరలు వాళ్ళను చంపివేస్తాయి.
17 He shall not see streams, rivers, brooks of honey and butter.
౧౭తేనెధారలు, వెన్నపూస ఏరులై పారుతున్నప్పటికీ వాళ్ళు సంతోషించరు.
18 That which he laboured for shall he restore, and not swallow down; its restitution shall be according to the value, and he shall not rejoice [therein].
౧౮వాళ్ళు సంపాదించిన ఆస్తి మేరకు కష్టాలు పెరుగుతాయి. వాళ్ళు కష్టపడి సంపాదించుకున్నదంతా అనుభవించకుండానే తిరిగి అప్పగిస్తారు.
19 For he hath oppressed, hath forsaken the poor; he hath violently taken away a house that he did not build.
౧౯వాళ్ళు దరిద్రులపై దాడులు చేసి విడిచిపెట్టినవాళ్ళు. తమవి కాని ఇళ్ళను బలవంతంగా ఆక్రమించుకుంటారు. ఆ ఇళ్ళను కట్టి పూర్తి చేయరు.
20 Because he knew no rest in his craving, he shall save nought of what he most desired.
౨౦వాళ్ళు తమ అత్యాశతో సంపాదించుకున్న ఇష్టమైన వస్తువుల్లో ఒక దానితోనైనా తమను తాము కాపాడుకోలేరు.
21 Nothing escaped his greediness; therefore his prosperity shall not endure.
౨౧వాళ్ళు దిగమింగిన వాటిలో ఏదీ మిగలడం లేదు. అందువల్ల వాళ్ళ క్షేమ స్థితి నిలబడదు.
22 In the fulness of his sufficiency he shall be in straits; every hand of the wretched shall come upon him.
౨౨వాళ్ళు మితిలేని సంపాదన కలిగి ఉన్న రోజుల్లో ఇబ్బందులకు గురౌతారు. ఇబ్బందుల్లో ఉన్నవాళ్ళందరూ వాళ్ళపై దాడి చేస్తారు.
23 It shall be that, to fill his belly, he will cast his fierce anger upon him, and will rain it upon him into his flesh.
౨౩వాళ్ళు తమ కడుపు నింపుకునే సమయంలో దేవుడు వాళ్ళ మీద తన కోపాగ్ని కురిపిస్తాడు. వాళ్ళు తినే సమయంలోనే అది కురుస్తుంది.
24 If he have fled from the iron weapon, the bow of brass shall strike him through.
౨౪ఇనప ఆయుధం నుండి తప్పించుకొనేందుకు పారిపోతున్నప్పుడు ఇత్తడి విల్లు నుండి బాణం వాళ్ళ దేహాల్లోకి దూసుకుపోతుంది.
25 He draweth it forth; it cometh out of his body, and the glittering point out of his gall: terrors are upon him.
౨౫ఆ బాణం వాళ్ళ దేహాలను చీల్చివేసి శరీరం నుండి బయటకు వస్తుంది. దాన్ని బయటకు తీసినప్పుడు కాలేయం తుత్తునియలు అవుతుంది. మరణభయం వాళ్ళ మీదికి వస్తుంది.
26 All darkness is laid up for his treasures: a fire not blown shall devour him; it shall feed upon what is left in his tent.
౨౬వాళ్ళ ధన సంపదలు చీకటిమయం అవుతాయి. ఎవ్వరూ రాజేయకుండానే అగ్ని లేచి వాళ్ళను మింగివేస్తుంది. వాళ్ళ గుడారాల్లో మిగిలినదాన్ని అది కాల్చివేస్తుంది.
27 The heavens shall reveal his iniquity, and the earth shall rise up against him.
౨౭వాళ్ళ దోషాలకు ఆకాశం సాక్షిగా నిలబడుతుంది. భూమి వారిపై తిరగబడుతుంది.
28 The increase of his house shall depart, flowing away in the day of his anger.
౨౮వాళ్ళ ఇళ్ళకు చేరిన సంపాదన కనబడకుండా పోతుంది. దేవుని ఉగ్రత దినాన అదంతా నాశనమౌతుంది.
29 This is the portion of the wicked man from God, and the heritage appointed to him by God.
౨౯దేవుని దగ్గర నుంచి దుష్టులైన మనుషులకు ప్రాప్తించేది ఇదే. దేవుడు వాళ్ళకు నియమించే వారసత్వం ఇదే.
