< Job 20 >

1 And Zophar the Naamathite answered and said,
Ket simmungbat ni Zofar a Naamatita ket kinunana,
2 Therefore do my thoughts give me an answer, and for this is my haste within me.
“Pasungbatennak a dagus dagiti kapanunotak gapu iti pakadanagan nga adda kaniak.
3 I hear a reproof putting me to shame; and [my] spirit answereth me by mine understanding.
Nakangngegak kenka iti panagtubngar a nangibabain kaniak, ngem sinungbatannak ti espiritu a nangatngato ngem iti pannakaawatko.
4 Knowest thou [not] this, that of old, since man was placed upon earth,
Saanmo kadi nga ammo daytoy a kinapudno manipud idi un-unana a panawen, idi inkabil ti Dios ti tao iti daga:
5 The exultation of the wicked is short, and the joy of the ungodly man but for a moment?
ti panagballigi ti nadangkes a tao ket ababa, ken ti rag-o ti awan diosna a tao ket apagbiit laeng?
6 Though his height mount up to the heavens, and his head reach unto the clouds,
Uray no dumanon ti kinatayagna kadagiti langlangit, ken tumukno ti ulona kadagiti ulep,
7 Like his own dung doth he perish for ever; they which have seen him shall say, Where is he?
ngem mapukawto ti kasta a tao iti agnanayon a kas iti bukodna a takki; ibaganto dagiti nakakita kenkuana, 'Sadino ti ayanna?'
8 He flieth away as a dream, and is not found; and is chased away as a vision of the night.
Tumayabto isuna a kasla tagtagainep ket saanto a masarakan; kinapudnona, mapukawto isuna a kasla iti sirmata iti rabii.
9 The eye which saw him shall [see him] not again; and his place beholdeth him no more.
Ti mata a nakakita kenkuana ket saannanton a makita pay isuna; saanton a makita pay isuna ti lugarna.
10 His children shall seek the favour of the poor, and his hands restore his wealth.
Agkiddawto iti pammakawan dagiti annakna kadagiti nakurapay a tattao; isublinto dagiti imana ti kinabaknangna.
11 His bones were full of his youthful strength; but it shall lie down with him in the dust.
Napno iti pigsa ti kinaagtutubo dagiti tultulangna, ngem kaduananto daytoy nga agidda iti tapok.
12 Though wickedness be sweet in his mouth [and] he hide it under his tongue,
Uray no nasam-it ti kinadangkes iti ngiwatna, uray no ilemmengna dagitoy iti sirok ti dilana,
13 [Though] he spare it, and forsake it not, but keep it within his mouth,
uray no tenglenna dagitoy sadiay ken saanna a palubosan ngem idulinna latta iti ngiwatna—
14 His food is turned in his bowels; it is the gall of asps within him.
agbalin a napait ti taraon nga adda kadagiti bagisna; agbalin daytoy a sabidong dagiti uleg iti unegna.
15 He hath swallowed down riches, but he shall vomit them up again: God shall cast them out of his belly.
Alun-onenna dagiti kinabaknang, ngem isaruananto manen dagitoy; Ikkatento ti Dios dagitoy iti tianna.
16 He shall suck the poison of asps; the viper's tongue shall kill him.
Susupennanto ti sabidong dagiti uleg; patayento isuna ti dila ti uleg.
17 He shall not see streams, rivers, brooks of honey and butter.
Saanto isuna nga agbiag tapno ragsakenna a kitaen dagiti karayan ken dagiti waig nga agay-ayus iti diro ken mantikilia.
18 That which he laboured for shall he restore, and not swallow down; its restitution shall be according to the value, and he shall not rejoice [therein].
Aniaman a nagbannoganna, masapul nga isublinanto dagitoy; saannanto a tilmonen daytoy; saanto nga agrag-o isuna iti kinabaknang a nagun-odna.
19 For he hath oppressed, hath forsaken the poor; he hath violently taken away a house that he did not build.
Ta indadanes ken inlaksidna dagiti nakurapay a tattao; siraranggas nga innalana dagiti babbalay a saanna nga impatakder.
20 Because he knew no rest in his craving, he shall save nought of what he most desired.
Gapu ta saanna nga ammo ti pannakapnek iti bagina, saanto a makaidulin isuna iti aniaman a banag a pakaragsakanna.
21 Nothing escaped his greediness; therefore his prosperity shall not endure.
Awan pulos iti nabati a saanna nga inalun-on; ngarud, saanto nga agnanayon ti kinarang-ayna.
22 In the fulness of his sufficiency he shall be in straits; every hand of the wretched shall come upon him.
Iti kinaaglaplapusanan ti kinabaknangna, matnagto isuna iti pakariribukan; umayto kenkuana ti ima ti tunggal maysa a napanglaw.
23 It shall be that, to fill his belly, he will cast his fierce anger upon him, and will rain it upon him into his flesh.
No dandaninan punoen ti tianna, ipalladawto ti Dios ti narungsot a pungtotna kenkuana; patudoento ti Dios daytoy kenkuana kabayatan a mangmangan isuna.
24 If he have fled from the iron weapon, the bow of brass shall strike him through.
Uray no maitarayanto dayta a tao ti igam a landok, ti bai a bronse ti mangpana kenkuana.
25 He draweth it forth; it cometh out of his body, and the glittering point out of his gall: terrors are upon him.
Tudokento ti pana ti likodanna ket rummuarto; kinapudnona, sumalpotto ti nasileng a murdong iti dalemna; umayto kenkuana dagiti kabutbuteng.
26 All darkness is laid up for his treasures: a fire not blown shall devour him; it shall feed upon what is left in his tent.
Naan-anay a kinasipnget ti nakasagana para kadagiti gamgamengna; ti apuy a saan a napuyotan ti manguramto kenkuana; ibusento ti apuy dagiti nabati iti toldana.
27 The heavens shall reveal his iniquity, and the earth shall rise up against him.
Iparangto dagiti langit ti kinadakesna, ken tumakderto ti daga a kas saksi a maibusor kenkuana.
28 The increase of his house shall depart, flowing away in the day of his anger.
Mapukawto ti kinabaknang iti balayna; maiyanudto dagiti sanikuana iti aldaw ti pungtot ti Dios.
29 This is the portion of the wicked man from God, and the heritage appointed to him by God.
Daytoy ti bingay ti nadangkes a tao manipud iti Dios, ti tawid nga insagana ti Dios a para kenkuana.”
