< Job 17 >
1 My breath is corrupt, my days are extinct, the graves are mine.
Naibus ti espirituk, ken aggibusen dagiti al-aldawko; nakasaganan ti tanem a para kaniak.
2 Are there not mockers around me? and doth [not] mine eye abide in their provocation?
Pudno nga adda dagiti mananglalais a kaduak; masapul a kankanayon a makitkita ti matak iti pananggargarida.
3 Lay down now [a pledge], be thou surety for me with thyself: who is he that striketh hands with me?
Mangtedka ita ti maysa a sapata, agbalinka koma a pammatalged a maipaay kaniak; siasino pay iti adda a tumulong kaniak?
4 For thou hast hidden their heart from understanding; therefore thou wilt not exalt [them].
Ta linapdam O Dios dagiti pusoda manipud ti pannakaawat; saanmonto ngarud itan-ok ida kaniak.
5 He that betrayeth friends for a prey — even the eyes of his children shall fail.
Ti mangakusar kadagiti gagayyemna a maipaay iti gunggona, kumapoyto dagiti mata dagiti annakna.
6 And he hath made me a proverb of the peoples; and I am become one to be spit on in the face.
Ngem inaramidnak a maysa a balikas a kanayon nga us-usaren dagiti tattao, tuptupraanda ti rupak.
7 And mine eye is dim by reason of grief, and all my members are as a shadow.
Nakudrep met ti matak gapu iti ladingit; nakuttong dagiti amin a paset ti bagik a kas ti kinakuttong ti aniniwan.
8 Upright men [shall be] astonished at this, and the innocent shall be stirred up against the ungodly;
Agsiddaawto dagiti nalinteg a lallaki gapu iti daytoy; makaungetto ti awan basolna a tao maibusor kadagiti nadangkes a lallaki.
9 But the righteous shall hold on his way, and he that hath clean hands shall increase in strength.
Agtalinaedto ti nalinteg a tao iti dalanna; ad-addanto pay a pumigsa dagiti addaan iti nadalus nga im-ima.
10 But as for you all, pray come on again; and I shall not find one wise man among you.
Ngem maipapan kadakayo amin, umaykayo ita; saanakto a makasarak iti masirib a tao kadakayo.
11 My days are past, my purposes are broken off, the cherished thoughts of my heart.
Naglabasen dagiti al-aldawko, naggibusen dagiti panggepko, uray dagiti tartarigagayan ti pusok.
12 They change the night into day; the light [they imagine] near in presence of the darkness.
Baliwan dagitoy a tattao, dagitoy a mananglalais, ti rabii iti aldaw; ti lawag, kunada nga asideg iti kinasipnget.
13 If I wait, Sheol is my house; I spread my bed in the darkness: (Sheol )
Agsipud ta kitkitaek ti sheol a kas balayko; agsipud ta inyukradko ti iddak iti kasipngetan, (Sheol )
14 I cry to the grave, Thou art my father! to the worm, My mother, and my sister!
agsipud ta imbagak iti abut, 'Sika ti Amak,' ken iti igges, 'Sika ti inak ken kabsatko a babai,'
15 And where is then my hope? yea, my hope, who shall see it?
sadino ngaruden ti ayan ti namnamak? Maipapan ti namnamak, siasino ti makakita ti aniaman?
16 It shall go down to the bars of Sheol, when [our] rest shall be together in the dust. (Sheol )
Bumabanto kadi ti namnama a kaduak kadagiti ruangan ti sheol inton bumabatayo iti tapuk?” (Sheol )
