Job 15
1 And Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said,
അതിന്നു തേമാന്യനായ എലീഫസ് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാൽ:
2 Should a wise man answer with windy knowledge, and fill his belly with the east wind,
ജ്ഞാനിയായവൻ വ്യൎത്ഥജ്ഞാനം പ്രസ്താവിക്കുമോ? അവൻ കിഴക്കൻ കാറ്റുകൊണ്ടു വയറുനിറെക്കുമോ?
3 Reasoning with unprofitable talk, and with speeches which do no good?
അവൻ പ്രയോജനമില്ലാത്ത വാക്കുകളാലും ഉപകാരമില്ലാത്ത മൊഴികളാലും തൎക്കിക്കുമോ?
4 Yea, thou makest piety of none effect, and restrainest meditation before God.
നീ ഭക്തി വെടിഞ്ഞു ദൈവസന്നിധിയിലെ ധ്യാനം മുടക്കിക്കളയുന്നു.
5 For thy mouth uttereth thine iniquity, and thou hast chosen the tongue of the crafty.
നിന്റെ അകൃത്യം നിന്റെ വായെ പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; ഉപായികളുടെ നാവു നീ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.
6 Thine own mouth condemneth thee, and not I; and thy lips testify against thee.
ഞാനല്ല, നിന്റെ സ്വന്തവായ് നിന്നെ കുറ്റം വിധിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ അധരങ്ങൾ തന്നേ നിന്റെ നേരെ സാക്ഷീകരിക്കുന്നു.
7 Art thou the first man that was born? and wast thou brought forth before the hills?
നീയോ ആദ്യം ജനിച്ച മനുഷ്യൻ? ഗിരികൾക്കും മുമ്പെ നീ പിറന്നുവോ?
8 Hast thou listened in the secret council of God? And hast thou absorbed wisdom for thyself?
നീ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മന്ത്രിസഭയിൽ കൂടീട്ടുണ്ടോ? ജ്ഞാനത്തെ നീ കുത്തക പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നുവോ?
9 What knowest thou that we know not? [what] understandest thou which is not in us?
ഞങ്ങൾ അറിയാത്തതായി നീ എന്തു അറിയുന്നു? ഞങ്ങൾക്കു വശം ഇല്ലാത്തതായി എന്തൊന്നു നീ ഗ്രഹിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു?
10 Both the greyheaded and the aged are with us, older than thy father.
ഞങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ നരെച്ചവരും വൃദ്ധന്മാരും ഉണ്ടു; നിന്റെ അപ്പനെക്കാൾ പ്രായം ചെന്നവർ തന്നേ.
11 Are the consolations of God too small for thee? and the word gently spoken to thee?
ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആശ്വാസങ്ങളും സ്വന്തമായി പറഞ്ഞുതരുന്ന വാക്കും നിനക്കു പോരയോ?
12 Why doth thy heart carry thee away? and why do thine eyes wink?
നിന്റെ ഹൃദയം നിന്നെ പതറിക്കുന്നതെന്തു? നീ കണ്ണു ഉരുട്ടുന്നതെന്തു?
13 That thou turnest thy spirit against God, and lettest words go out of thy mouth?
നീ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നേരെ ചീറുകയും നിന്റെ വായിൽനിന്നു മൊഴികളെ പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
14 What is man, that he should be pure? and he that is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?
മൎത്യൻ ശുദ്ധിമാനായിരിക്കുന്നതെങ്ങനെ? സ്ത്രീ പ്രസവിച്ചവൻ നീതിമാനായിരിക്കുന്നതെങ്ങനെ?
15 Behold, he putteth no trust in his holy ones, and the heavens are not pure in his sight:
തന്റെ വിശുദ്ധന്മാരിലും അവന്നു വിശ്വാസമില്ലല്ലോ; സ്വൎഗ്ഗവും തൃക്കണ്ണിന്നു നിൎമ്മലമല്ല.
16 How much less the abominable and corrupt, — man, that drinketh unrighteousness like water!
പിന്നെ മ്ലേച്ഛതയും വഷളത്വവുമുള്ളവനായി വെള്ളംപോലെ അകൃത്യം കുടിക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യൻ എങ്ങനെ?
17 I will shew thee, listen to me; and what I have seen I will declare;
ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ഉപദേശിക്കാം, കേട്ടുകൊൾക; ഞാൻ കണ്ടിട്ടുള്ളതു വിവരിച്ചുപറയാം.
18 Which wise men have told from their fathers, and have not hidden;
ജ്ഞാനികൾ തങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു കേൾക്കയും മറെച്ചുവെക്കാതെ അറിയിക്കയും ചെയ്തതു തന്നേ.
19 Unto whom alone the earth was given, and no stranger passed among them.
അവൎക്കുമാത്രമല്ലോ ദേശം നല്കിയിരുന്നതു; അന്യൻ അവരുടെ ഇടയിൽ കടക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.
20 All his days the wicked man is tormented, and numbered years are allotted to the violent.
ദുഷ്ടൻ ജീവപൎയ്യന്തം അതിവേദനയോടെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; നിഷ്ഠൂരന്നു വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ആണ്ടുകൾ തികയുവോളം തന്നേ.
21 The sound of terrors is in his ears: in prosperity the destroyer cometh upon him.
ഘോരനാദം അവന്റെ ചെവിയിൽ മുഴങ്ങുന്നു; സുഖമായിരിക്കയിൽ കവൎച്ചക്കാരൻ അവന്റെ നേരെ വരുന്നു.
22 He believeth not that he shall return out of darkness, and he is singled out for the sword.
അന്ധകാരത്തിൽനിന്നു മടങ്ങിവരുമെന്നു അവൻ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നില്ല; അവൻ വാളിന്നിരയായി നിയമിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
23 He wandereth abroad for bread, — where may it be? He knoweth that the day of darkness is ready at his hand.
അവൻ അപ്പം തെണ്ടിനടക്കുന്നു; അതു എവിടെ കിട്ടും? അനൎത്ഥദിവസം തനിക്കു അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അവൻ അറിയുന്നു.
24 Distress and anguish make him afraid; they prevail against him, as a king ready for the battle.
കഷ്ടവും വ്യാകുലവും അവനെ അരട്ടുന്നു; പടെക്കൊരുങ്ങിയ രാജാവെന്നപോലെ അവനെ ആക്രമിക്കുന്നു.
25 For he hath stretched out his hand against God, and strengthened himself against the Almighty:
അവൻ ദൈവത്തിന്നു വിരോധമായി കൈ നീട്ടി, സൎവ്വശക്തനോടു ധിക്കാരം കാട്ടിയതുകൊണ്ടു തന്നേ.
26 He runneth against him, with [outstretched] neck, with the thick bosses of his bucklers;
തന്റെ പരിചകളുടെ തുടിച്ച മുഴകളോടുകൂടെ അവൻ ശാഠ്യംകാണിച്ചു അവന്റെ നേരെ പാഞ്ഞുചെല്ലുന്നു.
27 For he hath covered his face with his fatness, and gathered fat upon [his] flanks.
അവൻ തന്റെ മുഖത്തെ മേദസ്സുകൊണ്ടു മൂടുന്നു; തന്റെ കടിപ്രദേശത്തു കൊഴുപ്പു കൂട്ടുന്നു.
28 And he dwelleth in desolate cities, in houses that no man inhabiteth, which are destined to become heaps.
അവൻ ശൂന്യനഗരങ്ങളിലും ആരും പാൎക്കാതെ കൽകൂമ്പാരങ്ങളായിത്തീരുവാനുള്ള വീടുകളിലും പാൎക്കുന്നു.
29 He shall not become rich, neither shall his substance continue, and their possessions shall not extend upon the earth.
അവൻ ധനവാനാകയില്ല; അവന്റെ സമ്പത്തു നിലനില്ക്കയില്ല; അവരുടെ വിളവു നിലത്തേക്കു കുലെച്ചുമറികയുമില്ല.
30 He shall not depart out of darkness; the flame shall dry up his branches; and by the breath of his mouth shall he go away.
ഇരുളിൽനിന്നു അവൻ തെറ്റിപ്പോകയില്ല; അഗ്നിജ്വാല അവന്റെ കൊമ്പുകളെ ഉണക്കിക്കളയും; തിരുവായിലെ ശ്വാസംകൊണ്ടു അവൻ കെട്ടുപോകും.
31 Let him not trust in vanity: he is deceived, for vanity shall be his recompense;
അവൻ വ്യാജത്തിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കരുതു; അതു സ്വയവഞ്ചനയത്രേ; അവന്റെ പ്രതിഫലം വ്യാജം തന്നേ ആയിരിക്കും.
32 It shall be complete before his day, and his branch shall not be green.
അവന്റെ ദിവസം വരുംമുമ്പെ അതു നിവൃത്തിയാകും; അവന്റെ പനമ്പട്ട പച്ചയായിരിക്കയില്ല.
33 He shall shake off his unripe grapes as a vine, and shall cast his flower as an olive.
മുന്തിരിവള്ളിപോലെ അവൻ പിഞ്ചു ഉതിൎക്കും; ഒലിവുവൃക്ഷംപോലെ പൂ പൊഴിക്കും.
34 For the family of the ungodly shall be barren, and fire shall consume the tents of bribery.
വഷളന്മാരുടെ കൂട്ടം വന്ധ്യത പ്രാപിക്കും; കൈക്കൂലിയുടെ കൂടാരങ്ങൾ തീക്കിരയാകും.
35 They conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity, and their belly prepareth deceit.
അവർ കഷ്ടത്തെ ഗൎഭം ധരിച്ചു അനൎത്ഥത്തെ പ്രസവിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ ഉദരം വഞ്ചനയെ ഉരുവാക്കുന്നു.
