Jeremiah 16
1 And the word of Jehovah came to me, saying,
௧யெகோவாவுடைய வார்த்தை எனக்கு உண்டாகி, அவர்:
2 Thou shalt not take thee a wife, and thou shalt not have sons nor daughters in this place.
௨நீ பெண்ணைத் திருமணம் செய்யவேண்டாம்; இவ்விடத்தில் உனக்கு மகன்களும் மகள்களும் இருக்கவேண்டாம் என்றார்.
3 For thus saith Jehovah concerning the sons and concerning the daughters that are born in this place, and concerning their mothers that bear them, and concerning their fathers that beget them in this land:
௩இவ்விடத்தில் பிறக்கிற மகன்களையும் மகள்களையும், இந்தத் தேசத்தில் அவர்களைப் பெற்ற தாய்களையும் அவர்களைப் பெற்ற தகப்பன்களையும் குறித்துக் யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்,
4 They shall die of painful deaths; they shall not be lamented, neither shall they be buried; they shall be as dung upon the face of the ground, and they shall be consumed by the sword, and by famine, and their carcases shall be food for the fowl of the heavens and for the beasts of the earth.
௪மகா கொடிய வியாதிகளால் இறப்பார்கள், அவர்களுக்காகப் புலம்புவாரும், அவர்களை அடக்கம்செய்வாருமில்லை, நிலத்தின்மேல் எருவாவார்கள்; பட்டயத்தாலும் பஞ்சத்தாலும் இறந்து போவார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய உடல் வானத்துப் பறவைகளுக்கும் பூமியின் மிருகங்களுக்கும் இரையாகும்.
5 For thus saith Jehovah: Enter not into the house of wailing, neither go to lament or bemoan them; for I have taken away my peace from this people, saith Jehovah, the loving-kindness and the tender mercies.
௫ஆகையால், நீ துக்கவீட்டில் நுழையாமலும், புலம்புவதற்க்குப்போகாமலும் அவர்களுக்கு பரிதாபப்படாமலும் இருப்பாயாக என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்; என் சமாதானத்தையும், கிருபையையும், இரக்கத்தையும், இந்த மக்களைவிட்டு எடுத்துப்போட்டேன் என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.
6 Both great and small shall die in this land: they shall not be buried; and none shall lament for them, or cut themselves, nor make themselves bald for them.
௬இந்த தேசத்தில் பெரியோரும் சிறியோரும் இறப்பார்கள்; அவர்களை அடக்கம்செய்வாரில்லை; அவர்களுக்காகப் புலம்புவாருமில்லை; அவர்களுக்காக கீறிக்கொண்டு, மொட்டையடித்துக்கொள்வாருமில்லை.
7 Nor shall they break [bread] for them in mourning, to comfort them for the dead; neither shall they give them the cup of consolations to drink for their father or for their mother.
௭இறந்தவர்களுக்காக ஏற்படுகிற துக்கத்தை ஆற்ற அவர்களுக்கு ஆகாரம் பரிமாறப்படுவதுமில்லை; ஒருவனுடைய தகப்பனுக்காவோ, ஒருவனுடைய தாய்க்காவோ துக்கப்படுகிறவர்களுக்குத் தேற்றரவின் பாத்திரத்தைக் குடிக்கக்கொடுப்பாருமில்லை.
8 And thou shalt not go into the house of feasting, to sit with them, to eat and to drink.
௮நீ அவர்களுடன் அமர்ந்து சாப்பிட விருந்துவீட்டிலும் நுழையாதே.
9 For thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will cause to cease out of this place, before your eyes, and in your days, the voice of mirth and the voice of joy, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride.
௯ஏனெனில், இதோ, இவ்விடத்தில் நான் உங்கள் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாகவும், உங்கள் நாட்களிலுமே, சந்தோஷத்தின் சத்தத்தையும், மகிழ்ச்சியின் சத்தத்தையும், மணமகனின் சத்தத்தையும், மணமகளின் சத்தத்தையும் ஓயச்செய்வேன் என்று இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய சேனைகளின் யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.
10 And it shall come to pass, when thou shalt declare unto this people all these words, and they shall say unto thee, Wherefore hath Jehovah pronounced all this great evil against us? and what is our iniquity? and what is our sin which we have committed against Jehovah our God?
௧0நீ இந்த வார்த்தைகளையெல்லாம் இந்த மக்களுக்கு அறிவிக்கும்போது, அவர்கள் உன்னை நோக்கி: யெகோவா எங்கள்மேல் இத்தனை பெரிய தீங்கை ஏன் சொல்லவேண்டும் என்றும், நாங்கள் செய்த அக்கிரமம் என்ன? நாங்கள் எங்கள் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்கு விரோதமாகச் செய்த எங்கள் பாவம் என்ன என்றும் கேட்பார்களானால்,
11 then shalt thou say unto them, Because your fathers have forsaken me, saith Jehovah, and have walked after other gods, and have served them, and have worshipped them, and have forsaken me, and have not kept my law;
௧௧நீ அவர்களை நோக்கி: உங்கள் முற்பிதாக்கள் என்னைவிட்டு அந்நியதெய்வங்களைப் பின்பற்றி, அவர்களை வணங்கி, அவர்களைப் பணிந்துகொண்டு, என் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தைக் கைக்கொள்ளாமல் என்னை விட்டுவிட்டார்களே.
12 and you, ye have done still worse than your fathers; and there ye are walking every one after the stubbornness of his evil heart, not to hearken unto me:
௧௨நீங்கள் உங்கள் முற்பிதாக்களைப் பார்க்கிலும் அதிகக் கேடாக நடந்தீர்களே; இதோ, உங்களில் ஒவ்வொருவரும் என் சொல்லைக்கேளாமல், உங்கள் பொல்லாத இருதயக் கடினத்தின்படி நடக்கிறீர்கள்.
13 and I will cast you forth out of this land, into a land that ye know not, ye nor your fathers; and there shall ye serve other gods day and night: because I will shew you no favour.
௧௩ஆகவே, உங்களை இந்தத் தேசத்திலிருந்து நீங்களும் உங்கள் முற்பிதாக்களும் அறியாத தேசத்திற்குத் துரத்திவிடுவேன்; அங்கே இரவும் பகலும் அந்நிய தெய்வங்களை வணங்குவீர்கள்; அங்கே நான் உங்களுக்குத் தயை செய்வதில்லை.
14 Therefore, behold, days are coming, saith Jehovah, that it shall no more be said, [As] Jehovah liveth, who brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;
௧௪ஆகவே, இதோ, நாட்கள் வரும், அப்பொழுது இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் எகிப்து தேசத்திலிருந்து வரவழைத்த யெகோவாவுடைய ஜீவனைக்கொண்டு இனிமேல் சத்தியம் செய்யாமல்,
15 but, [As] Jehovah liveth, who brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands whither he had driven them. For I will bring them again into their land, which I gave unto their fathers.
௧௫இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களை வடதேசத்திலும், தாம் அவர்களைத் துரத்திவிட்ட எல்லா தேசங்களிலுமிருந்து வரவழைத்த யெகோவாவுடைய ஜீவனைக்கொண்டு சத்தியம்செய்வார்கள்; நான் அவர்கள் முற்பிதாக்களுக்குக் கொடுத்த அவர்களுடைய தேசத்திற்கு அவர்களைத் திரும்பிவரச்செய்வேன் என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.
16 Behold, I will send for many fishers, saith Jehovah, and they shall fish them; and afterwards will I send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them, from every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks.
௧௬இதோ, நான் மீன்பிடிக்கிற அநேகரை அழைத்தனுப்புவேன், இவர்கள் அவர்களைப் பிடிப்பார்கள்; அதற்குப் பின்பு வேட்டைக்காரராகிய அநேகரை அழைத்தனுப்புவேன், இவர்கள் அவர்களை எல்லா மலைகளிலும், எல்லாக் குன்றுகளிலும், கன்மலைகளின் வெடிப்புகளிலும் வேட்டையாடுவார்கள்.
17 For mine eyes are upon all their ways; they are not concealed from my face, neither is their iniquity hidden from before mine eyes.
௧௭என் கண்கள் அவர்களுடைய எல்லா வழிகளின்மேலும் நோக்கமாயிருக்கிறது; அவைகள் என் முகத்திற்கு முன்பாக மறைந்திருக்கிறதில்லை; அவர்களுடைய அக்கிரமம் என் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாக மறைவாயிருக்கிறதுமில்லை.
18 But first I will recompense their iniquity and their sin double, because they have profaned my land with the carcases of their detestable things, and with their abominations have they filled mine inheritance.
௧௮முதலாவது நான் அவர்களுடைய அக்கிரமத்திற்கும், அவர்களுடைய பாவத்திற்கும் இரட்டிப்பாக நீதி செய்வேன்; அவர்கள் என் தேசத்தைத் தீட்டுப்படுத்தி, என் பங்கைச் சீயென்று அருவருக்குமளவுக்கு தங்கள் காரியங்களின் அசுத்தமான விக்கிரகங்களினால் நிரப்பினார்கள் என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார்.
19 Jehovah, my strength and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of distress, unto thee shall the nations come from the ends of the earth, and they shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited falsehood [and] vanity; and in these things there is no profit.
௧௯என் பெலனும், என் கோட்டையும், நெருக்கப்படுகிற நாளில் என் அடைக்கலமுமாகிய யெகோவாவே, அந்நியமக்கள் பூமியின் கடைசிமுனைகளிலிருந்து உம்மிடத்தில் வந்து: மெய்யாகவே, எங்கள் முற்பிதாக்கள் பிரயோஜனமில்லாத வீணான விக்கிரங்களைக் கைப்பற்றினார்கள் என்பார்கள்.
20 Shall a man make gods unto himself, and they are no-gods?
௨0மனிதன் தனக்குத் தெய்வங்களை உண்டாக்கலாமோ? அவைகள் தெய்வங்கள் அல்லவே.
21 Therefore, behold, I will this once cause them to know, I will cause them to know my hand and my might; and they shall know that my name is Jehovah.
௨௧ஆதலால் இதோ, இப்பொழுது நான் அவர்களுக்குத் தெரியவைப்பேன்; என் கரத்தையும் என் பெலத்தையுமே அவர்களுக்குத் தெரிவிப்பேன்; என் பெயர் யேகோவா என்று அறிந்துகொள்வார்கள்.
