Isaiah 66
1 Thus saith Jehovah: The heavens are my throne, and the earth is my footstool: what is the house that ye will build unto me? and what is the place of my rest?
Astfel spune DOMNUL: Cerul este tronul meu şi pământul este sprijinul picioarelor mele, unde este casa pe care voi mi-o construiţi? Şi unde este locul odihnei mele?
2 Even all these things hath my hand made, and all these things have been, saith Jehovah. But to this man will I look: to the afflicted and contrite in spirit, and who trembleth at my word.
Căci toate acele lucruri mâna mea le-a făcut şi toate acele lucruri au fost, spune DOMNUL, dar la acest om mă voi uita, chiar la cel care este sărac şi cu un duh căit şi tremură la cuvântul meu.
3 He that slaughtereth an ox, smiteth a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, breaketh a dog's neck; he that offereth an oblation, [it is as] swine's blood; he that presenteth a memorial of incense, [is as] he that blesseth an idol. As they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations,
Cel care ucide un bou este precum ar ucide un om; cel ce sacrifică un miel, precum ar reteza gâtul unui câine; cel ce aduce un dar, precum ar fi adus sânge de porc; cel ce arde tămâie, precum ar fi binecuvântat un idol. Da, ei și-au ales propriile căi şi sufletul li se desfată în urâciunile lor.
4 I also will choose their calamities, and will bring their fears upon them; because I called, and none answered, I spoke, and they did not hear, but did that which was evil in mine eyes, and chose that wherein I delight not.
De asemenea voi alege amăgirile lor şi voi aduce temerile lor peste ei; deoarece când am chemat, nimeni nu a răspuns; când am vorbit, nu au auzit, ci au făcut rău înaintea ochilor mei şi au ales aceea în care nu mă desfăt.
5 Hear the word of Jehovah, ye that tremble at his word: Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name's sake, said, Let Jehovah be glorified, and let us see your joy! but they shall be ashamed.
Ascultaţi cuvântul DOMNULUI, voi ce tremuraţi la cuvântul său: Fraţii voştri care v-au urât, care vă leapădă de dragul numelui meu, au spus: Să fie DOMNUL glorificat şi el se va arăta spre bucuria voastră; dar ei vor fi ruşinaţi.
6 A voice of tumult from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of Jehovah that rendereth recompence to his enemies!
O voce a zgomotului din cetate, o voce din templu, o voce a DOMNULUI ce întoarce răsplată duşmanilor lui.
7 Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man-child.
Înainte ca ea să aibă durerile naşterii, a născut; înainte să fi venit durerea ei, a dat naştere unui copil de parte bărbătească.
8 Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Can a land be made to bring forth in one day? shall a nation be born at once? For as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her sons.
Cine a auzit un astfel de lucru? Cine a văzut astfel de lucruri? Va fi făcut pământul să nască totul într-o singură zi? Sau o naţiune va fi născută deodată? Căci imediat ce Sionul a avut durerile naşterii, şi-a născut copiii.
9 Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith Jehovah; I who cause to bring forth, shall I shut [the womb]? saith thy God.
Voi aduce la momentul naşterii şi nu voi face să nască? spune DOMNUL; voi face să nască şi apoi să închid pântecele? spune Dumnezeul tău.
10 Rejoice with Jerusalem, and be glad for her, all ye that love her; rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn over her:
Bucuraţi-vă cu cetatea Ierusalimului şi veseliţi-vă cu ea, toţi cei ce o iubiţi, bucuraţi-vă cu bucurie împreună cu ea, toţi cei care jeliţi pentru ea,
11 because ye shall suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; because ye shall drink out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.
Ca să sugeţi şi să fiţi săturaţi cu sânii mângâierilor ei; ca să mulgeţi şi să fiţi desfătaţi cu plinătatea gloriei sale.
12 For thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the nations like an overflowing torrent; and ye shall suck, ye shall be carried upon the side, and be dandled upon the knees.
Fiindcă astfel spune DOMNUL: Iată, voi întinde pace spre ea ca un râu şi gloria neamurilor ca un pârâu revărsat, atunci veţi suge, veţi fi purtaţi pe braţele ei şi dezmierdaţi pe genunchii ei.
13 As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.
Ca pe unul pe care mama lui îl mângâie, la fel vă voi mângâia şi eu; şi veţi fi mângâiaţi în Ierusalim.
14 And ye shall see [this], and your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like the grass; and the hand of Jehovah shall be known toward his servants, and he will have indignation toward his enemies.
Şi când vedeţi aceasta, inima voastră se va bucura şi oasele voastre vor înflori ca iarba, şi mâna DOMNULUI va fi cunoscută de toţi servitorii lui şi indignarea lui de toţi duşmanii săi.
15 For behold, Jehovah will come with fire, and his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.
Căci, iată, DOMNUL va veni cu foc şi cu carele lui ca un vârtej de vânt, să întoarcă mânia lui cu furie şi mustrarea lui cu flăcări de foc.
16 For by fire and by his sword will Jehovah enter into judgment with all flesh: and the slain of Jehovah shall be many.
Fiindcă DOMNUL se va judeca, prin foc şi prin sabia lui, cu orice făptură; şi cei ucişi de DOMNUL vor fi mulţi.
17 They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one in the midst; that eat swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall perish together, saith Jehovah.
Cei ce se sfinţesc şi se purifică în grădinile din spatele unui copac [care este] în mijloc, mâncând carne de porc şi urâciunea şi şoarecele, vor fi mistuiţi împreună, spune DOMNUL.
18 And I, — their works and their thoughts [are before me]. ...[The time] cometh for the gathering of all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory.
Căci eu cunosc faptele şi gândurile lor, se va întâmpla, că voi aduna toate naţiunile şi limbile; iar ele vor veni şi vor vedea gloria mea.
19 And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow; to Tubal and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory: and they shall declare my glory among the nations.
Şi voi pune un semn printre ei şi voi trimite pe cei ce scapă de ei, la toate naţiunile, la Tarsis, Pul şi Lud, pe cei ce încordează arcul, la Tubal şi Iavan, la insulele de departe, care nu au auzit de faima mea, nici nu au văzut gloria mea; şi vor vesti gloria mea printre neamuri.
20 And they shall bring all your brethren out of all the nations as an oblation unto Jehovah, upon horses, and in chariots, and in covered waggons, and upon mules, and upon dromedaries, to my holy mountain, to Jerusalem, saith Jehovah, as the children of Israel bring an oblation in a clean vessel into the house of Jehovah.
Iar ei vor aduce pe toţi fraţii voştri ca ofrandă DOMNULUI din toate naţiunile pe cai şi în care şi pe tărgi şi pe catâri şi pe animale iuţi, la muntele meu sfânt Ierusalim, spune DOMNUL, precum copiii lui Israel aduc o ofrandă într-un vas curat în casa DOMNULUI.
21 And I will also take of them for priests [and] for Levites, saith Jehovah.
Şi de asemenea voi lua dintre ei ca preoţi şi ca leviţi, spune DOMNUL.
22 For as the new heavens and the new earth which I will make shall remain before me, saith Jehovah, so shall your seed and your name remain.
Căci precum cerurile noi şi pământul nou, pe care le voi face, vor rămâne înaintea mea, spune DOMNUL, tot astfel sămânţa şi numele vostru vor rămâne.
23 And it shall come to pass from new moon to new moon, and from sabbath to sabbath, all flesh shall come to worship before me, saith Jehovah.
Şi se va întâmpla, că de la o lună nouă la alta şi de la un sabat la altul, toată făptura va veni să se închine înaintea mea, spune DOMNUL.
24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorrence unto all flesh.
Şi vor ieşi şi vor privi peste trupurile moarte ale oamenilor care au încălcat [legea] împotriva mea, căci viermele lor nu va muri, nici focul lor nu se va stinge; şi vor fi de dispreţ pentru toată făptura.
