Isaiah 42
1 Behold my servant whom I uphold, mine elect [in whom] my soul delighteth! I will put my Spirit upon him; he shall bring forth judgment to the nations.
| اینک بنده من که او را دستگیری نمودم و برگزیده من که جانم از او خشنوداست، من روح خود را بر او می‌نهم تا انصاف رابرای امت‌ها صادر سازد. | ۱ |
2 He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street.
| او فریاد نخواهد زد وآواز خود را بلند نخواهد نمود و آن را درکوچه‌ها نخواهد شنوانید. | ۲ |
3 A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment according to truth.
| نی خرد شده رانخواهد شکست و فتیله ضعیف را خاموش نخواهد ساخت تا عدالت را به راستی صادرگرداند. | ۳ |
4 He shall not faint nor be in haste, till he have set justice in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.
| او ضعیف نخواهد گردید و منکسرنخواهد شد تا انصاف را بر زمین قرار دهد وجزیره‌ها منتظر شریعت او باشند. | ۴ |
5 Thus saith God, Jehovah, he that created the heavens and stretched them out, he that spread forth the earth and its productions, he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:
| خدا یهوه که آسمانها را آفرید و آنها را پهن کرد و زمین و نتایج آن را گسترانید و نفس را به قومی که در آن باشندو روح را بر آنانی که در آن سالکند می‌دهد چنین می‌گوید: | ۵ |
6 I, Jehovah, have called thee in righteousness, and will take hold of thy hand; and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the nations,
| «من که یهوه هستم تو را به عدالت خوانده‌ام و دست تو را گرفته، تو را نگاه خواهم داشت و تو را عهد قوم و نور امت‌ها خواهم گردانید. | ۶ |
7 to open the blind eyes, to bring forth the prisoner from the prison, them that sit in darkness out of the house of restraint.
| تا چشمان کوران را بگشایی و اسیران را از زندان و نشینندگان در ظلمت را از محبس بیرون آوری. | ۷ |
8 I am Jehovah, that is my name; and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
| من یهوه هستم و اسم من همین است. و جلال خود را به کسی دیگر و ستایش خویش را به بتهای تراشیده نخواهم داد. | ۸ |
9 Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth will I cause you to hear them.
| اینک وقایع نخستین واقع شد و من از چیزهای نو اعلام می‌کنم و قبل از آنکه بوجود آید شما را از آنهاخبر می‌دهم.» | ۹ |
10 Sing unto Jehovah a new song, his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein, the isles and their inhabitants.
| ای شما که به دریا فرود می‌روید و ای آنچه در آن است! ای جزیره‌ها و ساکنان آنهاسرود نو را به خداوند و ستایش وی را از اقصای زمین بسرایید! | ۱۰ |
11 Let the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up [their voice], the villages that Kedar doth inhabit; let the inhabitants of the rock sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains:
| صحرا و شهرهایش وقریه هایی که اهل قیدار در آنها ساکن باشند آوازخود را بلند نمایند و ساکنان سالع ترنم نموده، ازقله کوهها نعره زنند! | ۱۱ |
12 let them give glory unto Jehovah, and declare his praise in the islands.
| برای خداوند جلال راتوصیف نمایند و تسبیح او را در جزیره هابخوانند! | ۱۲ |
13 Jehovah will go forth as a mighty man, he will stir up jealousy like a man of war: he will cry, yea, he will shout; he will shew himself mighty against his enemies.
| خداوند مثل جبار بیرون می‌آید ومانند مرد جنگی غیرت خویش را برمی انگیزاند. فریاد کرده، نعره خواهد زد و بر دشمنان خویش غلبه خواهد نمود. | ۱۳ |
14 Long time have I holden my peace; I have been still, I have restrained myself: I will cry like a woman that travaileth; I will blow and pant at once.
| از زمان قدیم خاموش وساکت مانده، خودداری نمودم. الان مثل زنی که می‌زاید نعره خواهم زد و دم زده آه خواهم کشید. | ۱۴ |
15 I will lay waste mountains and hills, and dry up all their herbs; and I will make the rivers islands, and I will dry up the pools.
| کوهها و تلها را خراب کرده، تمامی گیاه آنها راخشک خواهم ساخت و نهرها را جزایر خواهم گردانید و برکه‌ها را خشک خواهم ساخت. | ۱۵ |
16 And I will bring the blind by a way that they know not, in paths that they know not will I lead them; I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.
| وکوران را به راهی که ندانسته‌اند رهبری نموده، ایشان را به طریق هایی که عارف نیستند هدایت خواهم نمود. ظلمت را پیش ایشان به نور و کجی را به راستی مبدل خواهم ساخت. این کارها را بجاآورده، ایشان را رها نخواهم نمود. | ۱۶ |
17 They shall be turned back, they shall be covered with shame, that confide in graven images, that say to the molten images, Ye are our gods.
| آنانی که بربتهای تراشیده اعتماد دارند و به اصنام ریخته شده می‌گویند که خدایان ما شمایید به عقب برگردانیده، بسیار خجل خواهند شد. | ۱۷ |
18 — Hear, ye deaf; and look, ye blind, that ye may see.
| ای کران بشنوید و‌ای کوران نظر کنید تاببینید. | ۱۸ |
19 Who is blind, but my servant? and deaf, as my messenger whom I sent? Who is blind as he in whom I have trusted, and blind as Jehovah's servant,
| کیست که مثل بنده من کور باشد وکیست که کر باشد مثل رسول من که می‌فرستم؟ | ۱۹ |
20 — seeing many things, and thou observest not? With opened ears, he heareth not.
| چیزهای بسیار می‌بینی اما نگاه نمی داری. گوشها را می‌گشاید لیکن خودنمی شنود. | ۲۰ |
21 Jehovah had delight [in him] for his righteousness' sake: he hath magnified the law, and made it honourable.
| خداوند را به‌خاطر عدل خودپسند آمد که شریعت خویش را تعظیم و تکریم نماید. | ۲۱ |
22 But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and hidden in prison-houses; they are become a prey, and none delivereth, — a spoil, and none saith, Restore.
| لیکن اینان قوم غارت و تاراج شده‌اند وجمیع ایشان در حفره‌ها صید شده و در زندانهامخفی گردیده‌اند. ایشان غارت شده و رهاننده‌ای نیست. تاراج گشته و کسی نمی گوید که باز ده. | ۲۲ |
23 Who among you will give ear to this, [who] will hearken and hear what is to come?
| کیست در میان شما که به این گوش دهد وتوجه نموده، برای زمان آینده بشنود. | ۲۳ |
24 Who gave Jacob for a spoil, and Israel to the robbers? Did not Jehovah, he against whom we have sinned? And they would not walk in his ways, neither did they hearken unto his law.
| کیست که یعقوب را به تاراج و اسرائیل را به غارت تسلیم نمود؟ آیا خداوند نبود که به او گناه ورزیدیم چونکه ایشان به راههای او نخواستندسلوک نمایند و شریعت او را اطاعت ننمودند. | ۲۴ |
25 And he hath poured upon him the fury of his anger, and the strength of battle: and it set him on fire round about, yet he knew not; and it burned him, yet he took it not to heart.
| بنابراین حدت غضب خود و شدت جنگ را برایشان ریخت و آن ایشان را از هر طرف مشتعل ساخت و ندانستند و ایشان را سوزانید اما تفکرننمودند. | ۲۵ |
