Isaiah 41

1 Keep silence before me, islands; and let the peoples renew [their] strength: let them come near; then let them speak: let us draw near together to judgment.

۱ ای جزیره‌ها به حضور من خاموش شوید! و قبیله‌ها قوت تازه بهم رسانند! نزدیک بیایند آنگاه تکلم نمایند. با هم به محاکمه نزدیک بیاییم.

2 Who raised up from the east him whom righteousness calleth to its foot? He gave the nations before him, and caused him to have dominion over kings; he gave them as dust to his sword, as driven stubble to his bow.

۲ کیست که کسی را از مشرق برانگیخت که عدالت او را نزد پایهای وی می‌خواند؟ امت‌ها را به وی تسلیم می‌کند و او رابر پادشاهان مسلط می‌گرداند. و ایشان را مثل غبار به شمشیر وی و مثل کاه که پراکنده می‌گرددبه کمان وی تسلیم خواهد نمود.

3 He pursued them, he passed on in safety, by a way he had never come with his feet.

۳ ایشان راتعاقب نموده، به راهی که با پایهای خود نرفته بودبسلامتی خواهد گذشت.

4 Who hath wrought and done [it], calling the generations from the beginning? I, Jehovah, the first; and with the last, I [am] HE.

۴ کیست که این را عمل نموده و بجا آورده، و طبقات را از ابتدا دعوت نموده است؟ من که یهوه و اول و با آخرین می‌باشم من هستم.

5 The isles saw [it], and feared; the ends of the earth trembled: they drew near, and came.

۵ جزیره‌ها دیدند و ترسیدند واقصای زمین بلرزیدند و تقرب جسته، آمدند.

6 They helped every one his neighbour, and [each] said to his brother, Take courage.

۶ هر کس همسایه خود را اعانت کرد و به برادرخود گفت: قوی‌دل باش.

7 And the artizan encouraged the founder, he that smootheth [with] the hammer him that smiteth on the anvil, saying of the soldering, It is good; and he fasteneth it with nails, that it be not moved.

۷ نجار زرگر را و آنکه باچکش صیقل می‌کند سندان زننده را تقویت می‌نماید و در باره لحیم می‌گوید: که خوب است و آن را به میخها محکم می‌سازد تا متحرک نشود.

8 But thou, Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham, my friend

۸ اما تو‌ای اسرائیل بنده من و‌ای یعقوب که تورا برگزیده‌ام و‌ای ذریت دوست من ابراهیم!

9 — thou whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called from the extremities thereof, and to whom I said, Thou art my servant, I have chosen thee and not rejected thee,

۹ که تو را از اقصای زمین گرفته، تو را از کرانه هایش خوانده‌ام و به تو گفته‌ام تو بنده من هستی، تو رابرگزیدم و ترک ننمودم.

10 — Fear not, for I [am] with thee; be not dismayed, for I [am] thy God: I will strengthen thee, yea, I will help thee, yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

۱۰ مترس زیرا که من با توهستم و مشوش مشو زیرا من خدای تو هستم. تورا تقویت خواهم نمود و البته تو را معاونت خواهم داد و تو را به‌دست راست عدالت خوددستگیری خواهم کرد.

11 Lo, all that are incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded; they that strive with thee shall be as nothing, and shall perish.

۱۱ اینک همه آنانی که برتو خشم دارند خجل و رسوا خواهند شد و آنانی که با تو معارضه نمایند ناچیز شده، هلاک خواهند گردید.

12 Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them — them that contend with thee; they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought.

۱۲ آنانی را که با تو مجادله نمایندجستجو کرده، نخواهی یافت و آنانی که با توجنگ کنند نیست و نابود خواهند شد.

13 For I, Jehovah, thy God, hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.

۱۳ زیرا من که یهوه خدای تو هستم دست راست تو را گرفته، به تو می‌گویم: مترس زیرا من تو را نصرت خواهم داد.

14 Fear not, thou worm Jacob, ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith Jehovah, and thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

۱۴ ‌ای کرم یعقوب و شرذمه اسرائیل مترس زیرا خداوند و قدوس اسرائیل که ولی تومی باشد می‌گوید: من تو را نصرت خواهم داد.

15 Behold, I have made of thee a new sharp threshing instrument having double teeth: thou shalt thresh and beat small the mountains, and shalt make the hills as chaff;

۱۵ اینک تو را گردون تیز نو دندانه دار خواهم ساخت و کوهها را پایمال کرده، خرد خواهی نمود و تلها را مثل کاه خواهی ساخت.

16 thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them; and thou shalt rejoice in Jehovah, thou shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel.

۱۶ آنها راخواهی افشاند و باد آنها را برداشته، گردباد آنها راپراکنده خواهد ساخت. لیکن تو از خداوندشادمان خواهی شد و به قدوس اسرائیل فخرخواهی نمود.

17 The afflicted and the needy seek water, and there is none; their tongue faileth for thirst: I, Jehovah, will answer them, [I], the God of Israel, will not forsake them.

۱۷ فقیران و مسکینان آب را می‌جویند ونمی یابند و زبان ایشان از تشنگی خشک می‌شود. من که یهوه هستم ایشان را اجابت خواهم نمود. خدای اسرائیل هستم ایشان را ترک نخواهم کرد.

18 I will open rivers on the bare heights, and fountains in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness into a pool of water, and the dry land into water-springs.

۱۸ بر تلهای خشک نهرها و در میان وادیهاچشمه‌ها جاری خواهم نمود. و بیابان را به برکه آب و زمین خشک را به چشمه های آب مبدل خواهم ساخت.

19 I will give in the wilderness the cedar, acacia, myrtle, and oleaster; I will set in the desert the cypress, pine, and box-tree together;

۱۹ در بیابان سرو آزاد و شطیم و آس و درخت زیتون را خواهم گذاشت و درصحرا صنوبر و کاج و چنار را با هم غرس خواهم نمود.

20 that they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of Jehovah hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it.

۲۰ تا ببینند و بدانند و تفکر نموده، با هم تامل نمایند که دست خداوند این را کرده وقدوس اسرائیل این را ایجاد نموده است.

21 Produce your cause, saith Jehovah; bring forward your arguments, saith the King of Jacob.

۲۱ خداوند می‌گوید: دعوی خود را پیش آوریدو پادشاه یعقوب می‌گوید: براهین قوی خویش راعرضه دارید.

22 Let them bring them forward, and declare to us what shall happen: shew the former things, what they are, that we may give attention to them, and know the end of them; — or let us hear things to come:

۲۲ آنچه را که واقع خواهد شدنزدیک آورده، برای ما اعلام نمایند. چیزهای پیشین را و کیفیت آنها را بیان کنید تا تفکر نموده، آخر آنها را بدانیم یا چیزهای آینده را به مابشنوانید.

23 declare the things that are to happen hereafter, that we may know that ye are gods; yea, do good, or do evil, that we may be astonished, and behold it together.

۲۳ و چیزها را که بعد از این واقع خواهدشد بیان کنید تا بدانیم که شما خدایانید. باری نیکویی یا بدی را بجا آورید تا ملتفت شده، با هم ملاحظه نماییم.

24 Behold, ye are less than nothing, and your work is of nought; an abomination is he that chooseth you. ...

۲۴ اینک شما ناچیز هستید وعمل شما هیچ است و هر‌که شما را اختیار کندرجس است.

25 I have raised up one from the north, and he shall come, — from the rising of the sun, he who will call upon my name; and he shall come upon princes as on mortar, and as the potter treadeth clay.

۲۵ کسی را از شمال برانگیختم و او خواهدآمد و کسی را از مشرق آفتاب که اسم مرا خواهدخواند و او بر سروران مثل برگل خواهد آمد ومانند کوزه‌گری که گل را پایمال می‌کند.

26 Who hath declared [it] from the beginning, that we may know? and beforetime, that we may say, [It is] right? Indeed, there is none that declareth; no, none that sheweth; no, none that heareth your words.

۲۶ کیست که از ابتدا خبر داد تا بدانیم و از قبل تابگوییم که او راست است. البته خبر دهنده‌ای نیست و اعلام کننده‌ای نی و کسی هم نیست که سخنان شما را بشنود.

27 The first, [I said] to Zion, Behold, behold them! and to Jerusalem, I will give one that bringeth glad tidings.

۲۷ اول به صهیون گفتم که اینک هان این چیزها (خواهد رسید) و به اورشلیم بشارت دهنده‌ای بخشیدم.

28 And I beheld, and there was no man; even among them, — and there was no counsellor, that, when I asked of them, could answer a word.

۲۸ و نگریستم و کسی یافت نشد و در میان ایشان نیز مشورت دهنده‌ای نبود که چون از ایشان سوال نمایم جواب تواندداد.

29 Behold, they are all vanity, their works are nought, their molten images are wind and emptiness.

۲۹ اینک جمیع ایشان باطلند و اعمال ایشان هیچ است و بتهای ریخته شده ایشان باد و بطالت است.
