Isaiah 41
1 Keep silence before me, islands; and let the peoples renew [their] strength: let them come near; then let them speak: let us draw near together to judgment.
೧ದ್ವೀಪನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೇ, ನನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿ ಮೌನದಿಂದಿರಿ. ಜನಾಂಗಗಳು ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿ; ಸಮೀಪಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ಮಾತನಾಡಲಿ. ನ್ಯಾಯಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಒಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಹೋಗೋಣ.
2 Who raised up from the east him whom righteousness calleth to its foot? He gave the nations before him, and caused him to have dominion over kings; he gave them as dust to his sword, as driven stubble to his bow.
೨ಮೂಡಣದಿಂದ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿ, ನ್ಯಾಯದ ಸಂಕಲ್ಪಾನುಸಾರವಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಪಾದಸನ್ನಿಧಿಗೆ ಕರೆದು, ಜನಾಂಗಗಳನ್ನು ಅವನ ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟು, ಅವನನ್ನು ರಾಜರ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಳುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿ, ಅವರ ಕತ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಧೂಳನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ, ಬಿಲ್ಲನ್ನು ಗಾಳಿ ಬಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವ ಹುಲ್ಲನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನು.
3 He pursued them, he passed on in safety, by a way he had never come with his feet.
೩ತಾನು ಎಂದೂ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯಿಡದ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಮುಂದೆ ಹಾದು ಹೋಗುವಂತೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟುತ್ತಾ ಹೋದನು.
4 Who hath wrought and done [it], calling the generations from the beginning? I, Jehovah, the first; and with the last, I [am] HE.
೪ಇದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಡೆಸಿ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದವನು ಯಾರು? ಆದಿಯಿಂದ ಈಗಿನವರೆಗೂ ತಲತಲಾಂತರಗಳನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡುವವನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನೆಂಬ ನಾನೇ; ಹೌದು, ಆದಿಪುರುಷನೂ, ಅಂತ್ಯಕಾಲದವರ ಸಂಗಡಿಗನೂ ಆಗಿರುವ ನಾನೊಬ್ಬನೇ.
5 The isles saw [it], and feared; the ends of the earth trembled: they drew near, and came.
೫ದ್ವೀಪ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು ಕಂಡು ಬೆರಗಾದರು, ಭೂಮಿಯ ಕಟ್ಟ ಕಡೆಯವರು ನಡುಗಿದರು, ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ನೆರೆದು ಬಂದರು.
6 They helped every one his neighbour, and [each] said to his brother, Take courage.
೬ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೊಬ್ಬರು ಸಹಾಯಮಾಡಿದರು, ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನಿಗೆ, “ಧೈರ್ಯವಾಗಿರು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
7 And the artizan encouraged the founder, he that smootheth [with] the hammer him that smiteth on the anvil, saying of the soldering, It is good; and he fasteneth it with nails, that it be not moved.
೭ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಶಿಲ್ಪಿಯು ಎರಕದವನನ್ನೂ, ಸುತ್ತಿಗೆಯಿಂದ ಸಮಮಾಡುವವನು ಅಡಿಗಲ್ಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಟ್ಟುವವನನ್ನೂ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಗೊಳಿಸಿದರು. “ಬೆಸಿಗೆ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿದೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ಕದಲದಂತೆ ಮೊಳೆಗಳಿಂದ ಜಡಿದರು.
8 But thou, Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham, my friend
೮ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲೇ, ನಾನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಯಾಕೋಬೇ, ನನ್ನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತನಾದ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ಸಂತತಿಯೇ,
9 — thou whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called from the extremities thereof, and to whom I said, Thou art my servant, I have chosen thee and not rejected thee,
೯ನಾನು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಕಟ್ಟಕಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಡಿದು ದಿಗಂತಗಳಿಂದ ಕರೆದ ಜನವೇ, “ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನು, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡೆನು, ತಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಹೇಳಿ ಸಂಬೋಧಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಜೆಯೇ,
10 — Fear not, for I [am] with thee; be not dismayed, for I [am] thy God: I will strengthen thee, yea, I will help thee, yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
೧೦ನೀನಂತು ಹೆದರಬೇಡ, ನಾನೇ ನಿನ್ನೊಂದಿಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ದಿಗ್ಭ್ರಮೆಗೊಳ್ಳದಿರು, ನಾನೇ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರು. ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಹೌದು, ನಿನಗೆ ಸಹಾಯಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನನ್ನ ಧರ್ಮದ ಬಲಗೈಯನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ಆಧಾರಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ.
11 Lo, all that are incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded; they that strive with thee shall be as nothing, and shall perish.
೧೧ಆಹಾ, ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಿಡಿಕಿಡಿಯಾದವರು ಆಶಾಭಂಗಪಟ್ಟು ಅವಮಾನಹೊಂದುವರು, ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವಾಡಿದವರು ನಾಶವಾಗಿ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೋಗುವರು.
12 Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them — them that contend with thee; they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought.
೧೨ನಿನ್ನೊಡನೆ ಹೋರಾಡಿದವರನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿದರೂ ಅವರು ನಿನಗೆ ಕಾಣಿಸರು. ನಿನ್ನ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡಿದವರು ನಿರ್ನಾಮವಾಗುವರು.
13 For I, Jehovah, thy God, hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.
೧೩ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವನೆಂಬ ನಾನೇ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಹಿಡಿಯುತ್ತೇನೆ. “ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡ, ನಿನಗೆ ಸಹಾಯಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ.
14 Fear not, thou worm Jacob, ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith Jehovah, and thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.
೧೪ಕ್ರಿಮಿಪ್ರಾಯದವನಾದ ಯಾಕೋಬೇ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಜನವೇ, ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡ, ನಾನೇ ನಿನಗೆ ಸಹಾಯಕನು, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಸದಮಲಸ್ವಾಮಿಯು ನಿನಗೆ ವಿಮೋಚಕನು” ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
15 Behold, I have made of thee a new sharp threshing instrument having double teeth: thou shalt thresh and beat small the mountains, and shalt make the hills as chaff;
೧೫“ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮಸೆದ ಮೊನೆಹಲ್ಲಿನ ಹೊಸ ಹಂತಿಕುಂಟೆಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ನೀನು ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳನ್ನು ಒಡೆದು ಪುಡಿಪುಡಿಮಾಡಿ ಗುಡ್ಡಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಟ್ಟು ಮಾಡುವಿ.
16 thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them; and thou shalt rejoice in Jehovah, thou shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel.
೧೬ನೀನು ತೂರಲು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಗಾಳಿಯು ಬಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವುದು, ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿಯು ಚೆಲ್ಲಾಪಿಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಡುವುದು. ನೀನಂತೂ ಯೆಹೋವನಲ್ಲಿ ಆನಂದಿಸುವಿ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಸದಮಲಸ್ವಾಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಳಪಡುವಿ.
17 The afflicted and the needy seek water, and there is none; their tongue faileth for thirst: I, Jehovah, will answer them, [I], the God of Israel, will not forsake them.
೧೭ಬಾಯಾರಿ ನಾಲಿಗೆ ಒಣಗಿ ನೀರನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿ ಹೊಂದದ ದೀನದರಿದ್ರರಿಗೆ ಯೆಹೋವನೆಂಬ ನಾನು ಪ್ರಸನ್ನನಾಗುವೆನು, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ನಾನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೈಬಿಡೆನು.
18 I will open rivers on the bare heights, and fountains in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness into a pool of water, and the dry land into water-springs.
೧೮ಬೋಳುಗುಡ್ಡಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನದಿಗಳನ್ನು, ಕಣಿವೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒರತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊರಡಿಸಿ, ಅರಣ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೆರೆಯಾಗಿಯೂ, ಮರುಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಬುಗ್ಗೆಗಳನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಮಾಡುವೆನು.
19 I will give in the wilderness the cedar, acacia, myrtle, and oleaster; I will set in the desert the cypress, pine, and box-tree together;
೧೯ಮರುಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವದಾರು, ಜಾಲಿಮರ, ಸುಗಂಧ ಒಲೀವ್ ಮರಗಳನ್ನು ನಾನು ನೆಡುವೆನು. ಮರುಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತುರಾಯಿ, ತಪಸಿ, ತಿಲಕ ವೃಕ್ಷಗಳನ್ನು ಒಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಬೆಳೆಯಿಸುವೆನು.
20 that they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of Jehovah hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it.
೨೦ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಹಸ್ತವು ಇದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದೆ, ಹೌದು, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಸದಮಲಸ್ವಾಮಿಯೇ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ” ಎಂದು ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಕಂಡು ತಿಳಿದು ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ತಂದು ಗ್ರಹಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು.
21 Produce your cause, saith Jehovah; bring forward your arguments, saith the King of Jacob.
೨೧ಯಾಕೋಬ್ಯರ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಹೀಗೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ, “ನಿಮ್ಮ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವು ಈಚೆಗೆ ಬರಲಿ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಲವಾದ ನ್ಯಾಯಗಳನ್ನು ತೋರ್ಪಡಿಸಿರಿ”
22 Let them bring them forward, and declare to us what shall happen: shew the former things, what they are, that we may give attention to them, and know the end of them; — or let us hear things to come:
೨೨ತಮ್ಮ ನ್ಯಾಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಂದಕ್ಕೆ ತರಲಿ, ಭವಿಷ್ಯತ್ತನ್ನು ನಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲಿ; ನಡೆದ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳ ವಿಶೇಷವನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸಿರಿ, ನಾವು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ತಂದು ಅವುಗಳ ಪರಿಣಾಮವನ್ನು ಇಲ್ಲವೇ ಭವಿಷ್ಯತ್ತನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರೆ ಗ್ರಹಿಸುವೆವು.
23 declare the things that are to happen hereafter, that we may know that ye are gods; yea, do good, or do evil, that we may be astonished, and behold it together.
೨೩ನೀವು ದೇವರುಗಳೆಂದು ನಮಗೆ ಅರಿವು ಹುಟ್ಟುವಂತೆ ಮುಂದೆ ಆಗುವವುಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿರಿ. ನಾವು ಒಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಗಾಬರಿಯಿಂದ ಭಯಪಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ಮಾಡಿರಿ.
24 Behold, ye are less than nothing, and your work is of nought; an abomination is he that chooseth you. ...
೨೪ಆಹಾ, ನೀವು ಶೂನ್ಯವೇ! ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕಾರ್ಯವು ಮಟ್ಟಮಾಯವೇ! ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಮೊರೆಹೋಗುವವರು ತುಚ್ಛರೇ ಸರಿ!
25 I have raised up one from the north, and he shall come, — from the rising of the sun, he who will call upon my name; and he shall come upon princes as on mortar, and as the potter treadeth clay.
೨೫ನಾನು ಉತ್ತರ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನಿಂದ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿ ಕರೆದು ತಂದಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ನನ್ನ ನಾಮವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಚುರಪಡಿಸತಕ್ಕವನು ಮೂಡಲಿನಿಂದ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಅವನು ಉಪರಾಜರನ್ನು ಮಣ್ಣೇ ಎಂದು ಭಾವಿಸಿ ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದು ಕುಂಬಾರನು ಜೇಡಿಮಣ್ಣನ್ನು ತುಳಿಯುವ ಹಾಗೆ ತುಳಿಯುವನು.
26 Who hath declared [it] from the beginning, that we may know? and beforetime, that we may say, [It is] right? Indeed, there is none that declareth; no, none that sheweth; no, none that heareth your words.
೨೬ಕಾರ್ಯವು ನಡೆಯುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಮೊದಲು ಇವರಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರು ಅದನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ? ಸಮಯಕ್ಕೆ ಮೊದಲೇ “ಅವನು ಸತ್ಯವಂತನು” ಎಂದು ಯಾರು ಮುಂತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ? ಯಾರೂ ಏನನ್ನೂ ತಿಳಿಸಬಲ್ಲವರಲ್ಲ, ಏನನ್ನೂ ಹೇಳತಕ್ಕವರಲ್ಲ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಯಾರ ಕಿವಿಗೂ ಬೀಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
27 The first, [I said] to Zion, Behold, behold them! and to Jerusalem, I will give one that bringeth glad tidings.
೨೭ನಾನು ಮೊದಲನೆಯವನಾಗಿ ಚೀಯೋನಿಗೆ, “ಇಗೋ, ಅವರನ್ನು ನೋಡು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಶುಭಸಮಾಚಾರ ತರತಕ್ಕವನನ್ನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸುವೆನು.
28 And I beheld, and there was no man; even among them, — and there was no counsellor, that, when I asked of them, could answer a word.
೨೮ನಾನು ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಇವರಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮರ್ಥರು ಯಾರೂ ಇಲ್ಲ. ನಾನು ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಒಂದು ಮಾತನ್ನಾದರೂ ಹೇಳಬಲ್ಲ ಆಲೋಚಕನು ಇಲ್ಲವೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.
29 Behold, they are all vanity, their works are nought, their molten images are wind and emptiness.
೨೯ಆಹಾ, ಅವರೆಲ್ಲಾ ವ್ಯರ್ಥವೇ, ಅವರ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವೇ, ಅವರ ಎರಕದ ಬೊಂಬೆಗಳು ಗಾಳಿ ಮತ್ತು ಶೂನ್ಯವೇ.
